Backstreet Boys - Millennium
1. Larger Then Life
Just like their first album, the Backstreet Boys chose to open their CD with a high energy song.  This song has a pretty good beat.  Kinda makes you wanna get up and...do arobics.  The vocals were all right, but they weren't the best they could have been.  But then again, the music really distracts from the vocals.  Not a good thing.

2.
I Want It That Way
Another love song.  Like I said in the first review, they are great at these.  But...it's not one of the better ones.  For some reason, I find the lyrics very cheesy, like they were thrown together in five minutes.  The background music has to be the best part of the song.  Other then that, I'd rather listen to Britney.

3.
Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely
There will be no review for this song, since I find it incredibly depressing, and choose not to listen to it.  If you want to review it, email it to me and I'll post it, giving you full credit.

4.
It's Gotta Be You
When the song opens, you're greeted with the ever popular BSB sound.  I'm getting kinda sick of the high energy songs the guys do.  Stick to love songs and leave the fast paced ones to Nsync.  Background beat wasn't that original, and the lyrics were very stupid.  One of the worst songs on the album.

5.
I Need You Tonight
Props to BSB for the love song!  The background music actually sounded like time went into it, and it went really well with the lyrics.  The words were very sweet, and it's the song on the album that will drive a girl to tears, or maybe even, a very sensitive guy (yeah, right).  The guys were really giving it their all and they sounded great.

6.
Don't Want You Back
Kelly and I were discussing this song awhile ago.  Why put a tune called "Don't Want You Back" right after "I Need You Tonight?"  No sense.  Anyway~ the background beat sounded somewhat original, but it still had a faint reminder of the last album.  The lyrics wern't that great - one of those songs you can only listen to once.  And again, what's up with giving Nick all the "sexual" lines?  Need I remind you all of the last album?

7.
Don't Want To Lose You Now
Yeah!  Another love song!  I love these, and I'm getting more opinionated about them.  Yes, the song is sweet, but arn't they all?  The lyrics were touching, but the beat wasn't that great.  It's catchy, but it dosn't seem to suit the song well.  Call me crazy (go ahead), but if I were BSB, I'd be ashamed of this song.  Of course, if I were BSB, there would be a lot of things I'd be ashamed of, but that's another story.

8.
The One
"Originality" must not be something the guys learned in "boy band" school.  The vocals were okay, but the music drew away from them.  The guys really need to learn to create good music AND lyrics.

9.
Back To Your Heart
The music to this song was really good.  It started off sweet, and then grew stronger.  The vocals were touching, and you can tell they were giving it their all.  Not much can be said about this song, except: Alright.  Not as good as the love songs on their first album, but what can you do?  That's the way the cookie crumbles.

10.
Spanish Eyes
I really like the music in the background of this one.  Even though you can tell it's computers and all that crap, it suits the song well.  The vocals, you could tell they were trying to break out of the "boy band" mold, but happy to say, they're still stuck in it.  Yes, the words were cute, but I could have thought of better ones.

11.
No One Else Comes Close
It it just me, or does the music in this song sound a lot like the stuff from "Back to Your Heart?"  Again, could have been more original.  Come on, guys.  It's your second album!  You're supossed to have grown from the first one.  The lyrics are sweet, but other then that, what is it?  A poem.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Could have been better.

12.
The Perfect Fan
This has to be my favorite song on the album.  Brian did a really good job mixing the right words with a great background beat (not to mention the gospal choir).  The words were really well thought out, "You showed me, just how to walk without your hands," it's lines like that that make the song great.  They're so simple, but they sound really sweet.  Kudos to Brian and the rest of the guys!  Best on the Album!

Overall Rating:   C+

The only good things on this album were "The Perfect Fan," and the pictures on the inside flap (except that Howie looked a little like Satan with the red background he was against.  Add an English accent and make his voice deeper, and you've got yourself a copycat!).
