It was a cold morning as Yarou walked out of Kurama’s
apartment. He slowly made his way to
the small tribe that lived just outside the city. If humans came upon it, it looked like a dump. This is because the leader of the tribe must
learn how to create an allusion. Yarou
had already accomplished that.
He came upon the village and walked by. He was going to see his mother.
He now had the silver bell. It
was yet again Halloween and Yarou would soon take over the tribe fully along
with Elizabeth, his tribe leader mate.
He stopped in front of his mother’s grave. He knelt down and began to talk to the small stone.
“Mom, hey. It’s me,
Yarou. I came to see you. It’s cold today. I hope you’re warm. It’s
my sixteenth birthday, I know you knew but I’m telling you anyway. Kurama’s at home, he’s still in bed. He wanted to come with me but I left before
he woke up. I know it was selfish but I
wanted to talk to you first. I’ve a lot
of stories to tell you. This Christmas,
that’s what the humans call it on the twenty fifth of December, I got a
sword. Kurama said it was from Hiei,
but he didn’t want me to know that. I
still like it. I am learning how to use
it. Kurama got me a bunch of
seeds. I can practice using my spirit
energy to make plants. I still have
that dream, you know, when you die and say all of those words. You always told me to stick up for myself
and you’ll always make it through. Well
I’ve done that for the past ten years and it doesn’t always work. Why did you have to die when you did? I know I shouldn’t ask that but why?” Yarou began to cry. He heard a movement from behind him and his
eyes widen from shock.
Behind
him was a small black fox. The fox
walked forward and then changed into a small human like fox. She had deep red eyes and black ears and she
was tail. Yarou was the same height as
her. She smiled as Yarou’s bottom lip
began to shake. “Mother?” Was all that Yarou could say before he
jumped on her. He cried into her
shoulder and she rested her cheek on Yarou’s head. Her hand began to rub his upper back as he cried into her
shoulder, trying to calm him down. “Are
you back for good?” Yarou spoke
again. The woman shook her head as she
poked his chest. “What? What does that mean?” Yarou asked as a voice began to speak inside
his head…
“Remember when you were young, what I used to sing to you when you
were upset?” She asked as Yarou shook
his head.
“I forgot...I forgot almost
everything, I only remember what you look like and where your grave is.”
She smiled as Yarou began to hear her soft voice in his head
again. She pulled him into her lap and
she held him like he was still a child.
She kissed his forehead and began to sing.
When the visions around you brings tears to your eyes/ And all
that surround you/ Are secrets and lies/ I’ll be your strength, I’ll give hope/
Keeping your faith when it’s gone/ The one you should call was standing here
all along
And I will take you in my arms
and hold you right where you belong/ ‘Til the day my life is threw this I
promise you, this I promise you
I’ve loved you forever in
lifetimes before/ And I promise you never will you hurt any more/ I give you my
word, I give you my heart/ This is a battle we’ve won / And with this vow,
forever has now begun
Just close your eyes/ Each
lovin’ day/ And know this feeling won’t go away/ ‘Til the day my life is
promise you, this I promise you
Over and over I fall when I
hear you call/ Without you in my life baby I just wouldn’t be living at all
And I will take you in my arms
and hold you right where you belong/ ‘Til the day my life is threw this I
promise you, baby/ Just close your eyes/ Each lovin’ day/ And know this feeling
won’t go away/ ‘Til the day my life is through this I promise you, this I
promise you
Kurama
walked to the clearing to see Yarou in Elizabeth’s lap. He walked towards them and then something in
his mind clicked, he didn’t see Elizabeth anymore, he saw the Kitsune that Youko,
his other self, had once shared a tribe with.
Kurama stood still as he heard her speak and kiss Yarou on the forehead.
“Sleep my child, I’ve missed you and I’ll always love you. I can’t come back, but I will always be
inside of you, inside your heart.” She
said as she kissed his forehead and Yarou fell asleep. She stood up and the woman turned to face
Kurama. She smiled and looked at
Yarou. Kurama watched as the Kitsune
turned into Elizabeth.
Kurama looked at her, “What did you do?” He asked.
“I gave him his Birthday present.
I let him see his mother. I knew
that was one thing he wanted the most.
Even though he finds me annoying, I still can be nice. I gave him not only his heart back, but also
my heart; I have to make my leader mate happy.
No matter what the cost is.
That’s why I don’t want him to find out about this, ok?” Elizabeth asked looking at Kurama.
“I won’t tell him, I give you my word.” Kurama said as he walked over to Yarou and sat down next to him
and then paid his respects to the grave and then got up. He left a note for Yarou.
Moments later… Yarou woke up and looked at the folded paper on his
chest. He opened it and read began to
read it; he saw it was from Kurama.

I see you didn’t want to
wait for me. I guess
that’s all right. I just wanted to let you know
that I’ll be waiting at
home and I will have
lunch ready for you when
you decide to
come home. Make sure you see Elizabeth,
I think she wants to
wish her leader mate a
happy birthday. She can be very nice and
and I want you to treat her
well. Well I’ll
talk to you when you get home.

Yarou got up and walked towards the village to see Elizabeth. It was beginning to get warm as he turned to
look at the stone once more. He smiled
at voiced out loud, “I will remember Mother.
I will stop worrying and I’ll remember that you’re always with me. I’ll carry that in my heart forever and I
will try and become the best leader of the tribe that I can be.” Yarou said.
Yarou walked by a tree and didn’t notice Elizabeth standing behind
it. “My foolish Kitsune, did you really
have to be told by her in order to believe it?” Elizabeth said as she followed after the Kitsune.

Well that’s it for this little fic. I had to write this so I can clear up some
stuff. I had to change, I finally found
out some of the cool things on my computer on how to make the pages look better
then those ugly black and white pages.
I’ll try and do this to the others.
Well
e-mail on what you think, and please send me your fanart, fanfics, or
backgrounds; they’re always welcome here at my shrine.
Well
here’s a little info on Yarou’s mother, Youko found Mesuno when he was out having some fun and the two became friends. A tribe knew her as a princess. Soon, with Youko’s help, they were able to
move to the human world. Youko was
still partners in crime with Hiei but other wise he was with the village full
of Kitsune demons. One day Mesuno
offered Youko the shiny silver bell that he had admired around her neck, in
order for him to have the bell he had to accept to become a leader mate with
her when she turned sixteen. He found
out that she was pregnant with another Kitsune demon’s child and left. And then the rest of the story where Youko
returns to the spirit world and then gets injured and became the Kurama we
know. All of this taking place with in
a month.
Yarou in the Japanese language means bastard, his word can only be used
towards men, but they have some bad words out there for us girls too. I haven’t looked them up yet but oh
well. I took mesuno’s name from the
word mesunokitsune, which means bitch fox; vixen.
Well there you have it. Ok have fun and write to me please, and also sign my guest book.
