Dream Demon, Drafaro

Chapter 2

Mommy? Daddy?

The little demon wiped her eyes with the sleeve of her white kimono. She stood up and looked at them, “You found m-me, c-can we g-go home n-now?” She asked starting to shake. “Will you carry me m-mommy?”

“Mommy, I’m afraid you have the wrong person.” She looked at Inu Yasha and then back to the girl,

“I want to go home, n-not play g-games.” The girl said. “Daddy, can we g-go home?”

“Oh no! I’m not your father.” Inu Yasha said turning around. “Kagome let’s go, she’s obviously lost.”

“Well then, we’ll have to find her parents then. You can come with us.” Kagome said with a smile as she picked up the girl.

“OK.” She agreed as she fell asleep in Kagome’s arms.

“I don’t know why you are bringing her. Her parents probably abandoned her.” Inu Yasha said. Kagome wasn’t listening. She was concentrating on where she had seen this girl before. “Hello! Did you hear me!” Inu Yasha yelled.

“Shhhh! You’ll wake her.” Kagome said.

“Err, why do I even bother. Inu Yasha growled.

When they came to where they left the others, Kagome sat down on a rock to rest. Both Sango and Miroku were staring at Kagome. Shippo sat down on the rock looking at the girl more closely.

                “Who’s that Kagome?” Sango asked.

“I’m not sure, she’s lost and Inu Yasha and I are going to find her parents.” Kagome said.

“Hold on. I did not agree to find that brat’s parents with you. You decided to bring her with us, you’ll find her parents alone.” Inu Yasha said as her jumped into a tree.

“Fine,” Kagome shot up, “I will then DADDY!” Kagome said while taking the girl to her sleeping bag.

“Daddy? Inu Yasha, what have you been up to?” Miroku asked mischievously.

“Err… None of your damn business! It’s nothing, she’s just repeating what the little brat said.” He yelled.

Chapter 3

Unravel the Mystery

The next day, Kagome slept in. During this time, the little demon had left and had taken Kagome’s bag with her. Inu Yasha and Miroku were sent out because of this. They only thought they had ran out of food, what they didn’t know that it was stolen. Sango and Shippo were waiting for Miroku and Inu Yasha to come back so they could eat.

The boys soon came back, empty-handed. “There’s no food in these damn woods!” Inu Yasha griped.

“Well, the lack of nutrition in these woods wouldn’t surprise me.” Miroku said.

“Why do you say that Miroku?” Sango asked.

“Well, you know the lake you talked about last night?” Miroku said.

“Ya, so what.” Inu Yasha said.

“We searched this whole area, and I never saw the lake, or any signs of one ever being here.” He said as he saw Kagome start walking towards them.

“But what about the girl?” Shippo asked. “I never go to talk to her.”

“She’s gone too.” Sango said, “But I do remember seeing her with Kagome’s bag.”

“What! That little demon! When Ii get my hands on her I ring her little neck!” Inu Yasha said.

“Inu Yasha, you’ll do nothing of the sort!” Kagome said finally reaching them.

“She stole your sack! It had all our food in it!” Inu Yasha shouted.

“She what? She couldn’t!” Kagome said.

“Well she did!” Inu Yasha yelled.

“Stop yelling at me!” Kagome yelled.

                “I’m not yelling!” He shouted.

“What’s everybody yelling about?” Said the little girl.

Everyone turned to see the girl with Kagome’s yellow sack over her shoulder. In her left was a bright red shinny apple with a small bite in it.

“I see you’re up Mommy. I found some apples for us to eat.” The girl said while looking up at Inu Yasha, “Daddy, what’s wrong with your face? It’s turning red.”

“You! Where did you get those apples!” Inu Yasha demanded.

The girl faced Kagome, “I also have some fish. You want some?”

“Don’t change the subject!” Inu Yasha said crossly.

“Daddy, you told me where the apple tree was yesterday.” She smiled.

“What apple tree?” Inu Yasha yelled hotly.

“It’s over there.” She pointed. “I’ll show you.”

When they got to the spot where the little demon was talking about, the group stood in front of a large apple tree. Beside the apple tree was a small shallow stream that had a lot of fish in it.

“Where’d that come from?” Miroku asked.

“We searched this whole area. There wasn’t an apple tree here. Not even the little stream.” Inu Yasha said.

They looked up at the girl who was throwing apples down to Kagome.

“I think this is enough for now.” Kagome smiled as the girl jumped down from the tree.

“? Is that her name?” Miroku asked.

“Ya, she told me last night.” Kagome said. “Inu Yasha, why didn’t you just go to the apple tree in the first place?”

“I’m telling you that the apple tree was not here, Kagome, I searched this whole area!” Inu Yasha yelled.

“You’re silly Daddy.” Zoey said as she ran after Kagome.

“Don’t call me that! I’m not your father and Kagome, don’t encourage her!” Inu Yasha barked.
