"NO!" Zoey yelled again. "You are not my daddy!" Zoey began to cry.

"I am not surprised Drafaro, she would not remember a thing." Shikyo said to the boy.

"Drafaro?!" Myoga said. "I should have known that that’s who he was."

"Myoga? Who is this boy?" Miroku asked.

"Drafaro, he’s a dream demon. When humans dream, they are able to come in contact with Drafaro...or the dream demon. He makes your dreams real, but I don’t understand it? How was he able to make Zoey feel, bleed, and do everything a normal child can do?" He asked himself.

They all looked at Drafaro.

"You see, I know that Inu Yasha knows about it. The jewel fragment embedded in her tong. I realized that the young woman could sense jewel fragments so I had to use a lot of my demonic aura to cover her in order for it to stay hidden. That is why you’ve seen me a few times, but in my dream form." Drafaro said.

Zoey looked up as they talked.

Inu Yasha looked at Zoey, "I forgot about that? How could I forget something as important as that?"

"It was I. I made you forget." Drafaro said.

"How was it you that made me forget?" Inu Yasha growled.

"It’s to complicated for such a small dog brain to comprehend." Shikyo commented.

"I’ll cut you into pieces!" Inu Yasha said as he took out his sword.

"I can strike you dead where you stand before you even move an inch." She said.

"Oh, don’t test her, she’s serious." Drafaro teased.

"Quite you!" She growled.

Drafaro nervously laughed and scratched this head.

Kagome looked down at Zoey who in return, looked up at her. Kagome looked back up at Drafaro.

"Drafaro, I still don’t understand how you could make Zoey." She said.

"Well you see. Zoey is made up of three things. A soul, a jewel fragment, and a conjured body. Shikyo brought me the soul of a newly dead soul. I took a jewel fragment that I had found and embedded it into the soul before I merged it with the body. Usually I embed the jewel fragment into the body, but I decided to take a chance and embed it into the soul. Once the soul, Shikon shard, and the body were together, it left a body with no true form or gender. The body needed a memory, a mind. That’s when I found you Kagome. That night, the first time you saw me, I had taken a look into your inner most personal dream and seen the little girl you adored so much. That’s when I created the scenery and placed her dormant body their. Now that she was their with her memory, or mind, all she needed was two life forces. That would be you, and Inu Yasha. I played the sound of a crying child so that only Inu Yasha could hear it. He brought you just as I planed, and when you would draw close enough near the body, you would give her part of your life force so that she could move, feel, and bleed like a normal child.

She wasn’t perfect as you could see a few nights latter when Inu Yasha transformed. I didn’t know about that at the time and tried desperately to make the change occur in her but that didn’t go so well. I ended up almost causing her to go deaf." Drafaro explained.

"So, you say part of my life force is in that child?" Inu Yasha asked.

"Yes, that’s why dog boy you feel a connection to her." Shikyo said.

Inu Yasha turned to Kagome and looked down at Zoey. She had stopped crying and was looking at Shikyo and Drafaro. She looked up at Kagome and smiled weekly at her then nodded. She turned around to face Shikyo.

"I’m ready to leave lady." Zoey said.

Everyone turned to look at her, "What!?" They all said.

Inu Yasha stood quietly and looked back at Drafaro, "Tell me Drafaro, what was your goal in this?"

Drafaro looked at Kagome, "I’ll show you."

Everything turned white. Around them, a small bright forest appeared slowly. They glanced around and saw Inu Yasha stretch and walk past the group.

"Hey! Why is there two of me!?" Inu Yasha yelled.

"Can’t you ever keep your mouth shut? Just watch." Shikyo said.

Inu Yasha growled and watched.

They all followed the other Inu Yasha. He stopped short of a small hut. He peered inside. They all looked in to See Kagome and a small girl sleeping. They saw the other Inu Yasha smile and turn around to head down the path.

Kagome and Zoey began to stir. The stretched and yawned as they woke up. Zoey gave Kagome a hug and laughed happily. They two of them got up and walked outside. Around the side of the house was a garden full of vegetables. Kagome began to check them but stopped when Zoey ran down the path. She got up ran after her.

The others ran to keep up with the other Kagome as they watched her stop and stare up at the other Inu Yasha who pointed in the direction a head of them. The continued forward till they found the stream they were at. The other Kagome smiled and laughed as Zoey laughed happily and ran into her arms.

Everything became normal and they could see Drafaro and Shikyo again.

"What was that?" Miroku asked.

"That was my dream." Kagome said.

"I still don’t understand." Inu Yasha said.

"All I was doing was trying to make Kagome happy." Drafaro said.

Shikyo walked over to Zoey and grabbed her hand.

"Well, I guess this would be goodbye." Drafaro said.

Kagome gave Zoey one last hug and kisses her forehead.

"Bye Zoey. I’ll always remember you." Kagome said.

Zoey smiled and looked at Inu Yasha. He walked over to her and ruffled up her hair with his hand.

"Behave you." He said.

Zoey smiled and hugged Inu Yasha and turned around and walked bye Drafaro and Shikyo and grabbed their hands.

"Bye Mommy, bye Daddy." She said as Drafaro’s and Shikyo’s demon auras surrounded them and they disappeared.

They all stood silently for a few moments then turned to walk back to Kaede’s Village. Kagome smiled and turned around and thought, I can still make my dream come true, Zoey isn’t gone forever.
