Writer’s thoughts: Will Kagome ever gets back to her own time?
What’s going on with Shuichi and Sesshomaru? Will Miroku ever learn to keep his
hands to himself?
One Morning, a week after Bone Eaters
Well had been closed to where Kagome could not return back to her time, Kaede
had decided to let her stay with her until she wanted to leave. Now Kagome was
like Kikyo, she was now the Priestess and protector of the Scared Shikon Jewel,
now that Naraku had been slain. Miroku, Sango, Shippo, Kelala, and Inuyasha
decided to stick around and help protect the Jewel.
“Kagome, child, please listen to me!
Ye need to snap out of this!” Kaede shouted as Kagome just sat by the well just
staring at it hoping it would open so she could return home. “ Inuyasha please help me!”
“I’m coming what is it this time old
woman?” he said demanding.
“She’s doing it again!”
“Oh man, why is she still doing this!”
“Because I’m worried about my family…”
Kagome interrupted.
“Well you’re gonna have to get over it
Kagome it looks like you’re never going back! The well is broken!” Inuyasha
snapped.
“I know, I wish I could just see my
family again and tell them I love them.” She said as she started to shed tears.
“Come on Kagome lets get out of here...I’m
gonna take you somewhere… special…” he said as he picked her up and started to
take her to that special place.

“Sesshomaru! Lord Sesshomaru!” Jaken
shouted. Wack!!
“Be quite Jaken, you don't want to
wake Shuichi.” Sesshomaru said
“Sorry! M’ Lord I was just wanting to
know where you went to.”
“ I went to go get some food and some
more healing water from the springs for Shuichi.” he said, “ Does she need it?
How is her wounds and get working on that food!”
“ Her wounds are better. She doesn’t
need any of that healing water.” Jaken said as Shuichi was awaking.
As she was sitting up she looked at
Sesshomaru, whose face looked like he was admiring her. As he noticed her looking at him he turned away
as if nothing happened.
“Good morning Miss Shuichi,” Jaken
said, “ Would you like some breakfast?”
“ Ah…No thank you Jaken I’m not that
hungry.”
“You should have something to eat if
you are gonna start your training today.” Sesshomaru interrupted.
“Oh we are gonna start today?”
“Yes… I need to know what kind of
youkai you are so I know what kind of powers you possess.”
“ What do you mean what type of youkai
am I?”
“ What are you! What kind of youkai
was your parents!” he snapped.
“Oh…well my mother was a dog youkai and my father was a fire
youkai.”
“Ok… so you are a dog youkai that can
control fire”
“Yes I guess so…” she said as they
were getting up to go start her training.

As soon as Inuyasha left with Kagome
in his arms, everyone just watched as they walked out of sight.
“Where do you think he is taking her?”
Sango asked.
“I’m not sure…he said somewhere
special.” Kaede said as she was turning to go back to her hut.
“Oh… Where do you think he is taking
her Miroku?” Sango asked quietly.
“I don’t know either but where ever it
is let’s hope it makes her happy…”Miroku said.
“Yes lets…I can’t stand to see her
like this any more.”
“Yes, but let’s get back to work. We
need to finish our hut.”
“Ok.”

“Where are you taking me Inuyasha?”
Kagome asked.
“You will see when we get there.” He
said as she stared at him blankly.
“ Are we almost there?”
“Yes…we are almost there. Before we
get there we need to gather some things.”
“What things?”
“We need a piece of each others
clothing and a drop of blood from each of us,” he said as he was getting a
crazy look from Kagome. “ Now listen we only need the blood so it will show
your true heart and it will let us in.”
“What do you mean let us in?”
“ Where I am taking you is Paradise
and there is a well there and-“
“What?! A well do you think I could go
through there and get back to my own time?” she interrupted and she had a look
of over flowing hope that she would soon be going home to her time.
“Well don't get your hopes up. But,
there by the well is a little pond and if you drop your piece of clothing with
your blood on it, it will show your true heart. And the legend says that she will grant your one true hearts
desire or so the legend says.”
“ So if this legend is true and it
does let me pass I will never see you or the others again but if I don't go I
wont see my family ever again!”
“No you won’t ever come back,”
Inuyasha said sadly with his head down. “ So you have a lot of thinking to do
if this legend is true.”
“Yes I know…”
As they grew closer to the place
called Paradise you could see the excitement grow in Kagome’s eyes and the
sadness in Inuyasha’s eyes, and the fear that she would leave him if she had
the chance.

“ Come on Sesshomaru where are you
taking me to teach me ” Shuichi asked impatiently
“ Be patient Shuichi we are almost
there,” he said with a look of awe in his eyes when he looked at her. He was
taking her to a place called Golgotha (it means “resting place of the skulls”) He wanted her to use her fire technique there or at least
unleash it. When they reached Golgotha he made a circle and in the circle was a
fire.
“Brother?”
“ The fire, when you do real battles
you will not have fire there to help you, so calling it out here and getting
your power from him you will not need fire to use your power”
“Ok…so what do I say?”
“ Just tell it to come to you unleash
your power upon me. But first you must sit in the circle and let it know that
you trust it and close your eyes and call out to it.”
“Ok,” she said as she sat in the
circle and closed her eyes. “ My brother, unleash your power upon me!” All of a
sudden there was what felt like an earthquake.
“Who has called upon me,” an earth shattering
voice called out. “ Was it you?”
Shuichi looked up and saw him and he was a black fire dragon.
“Yes it was I.” She said.
“ Can you handle my power that I give
to you?” The voice said.
“I’m sure I can handle it.”
“If you can not handle it you will be
killed, are you sure you wish to accept my power?”
Shuichi looked up at Sesshomaru but he
was gone! She had to make up her mind on her own. But if Sesshomaru knew this
I’m sure he wouldn’t have taken me here if he didn’t think I could handle it. She said thinking to herself
“Yes, I want this.” She said with a
shaky voice.
“Ok, but don't say I didn’t warn you.”
The voice said. Then he took his hand and took out an orb of power with a very,
very, evil aura to it. Then he handed it to Shuichi and said “ All you have to
do now is take it and put it inside you.” Then he disappeared.
Shuichi looked at the orb and then
swallowed hard, and then pushed the orb inside her. She started to shake a
little and then she went into another world of fire youkai’s. It was like she was going in to training but
inside her self. Then she met a man named Kurohi (it means blackfire). He
was to help her along and if she could not handle his “training”, he was to
kill her.

As Kagome and Inuyasha arrive at Paradise they cut a piece of
their clothing and cut themselves. They took the piece of clothing they cut and
dab it on their cut. As they walk up to the gate of Paradise, it opened
automatically. As they walked in they saw the well and the pond, they walked up
to it. Kagome’s face over flowing with hope and Inuyasha’s face is over come
with fear and sadness.
“Ok Kagome, all you have to do is
throw it in and it will show your true heart and it will decide if you can go
back or whatever,” Inuyasha said with his head held low, and through his cloth
in.
“Ok… here goes nothing,” she said with
her eyes tightly shut as if she was afraid to open them for the thought of the
legend wasn’t true, she through the piece of clothing into the pond. In the
pond, there were ripples from where they had thrown in the piece of clothing.
There was a face in the pond and it spoke to Kagome.

As Shuichi was under the power of the
orb, trying to obtain her powers, Sesshomaru was out side the circle he made
for her, watching. Jaken came behind Sesshomaru and startled him.
“Jaken, what are you doing here?”
Sesshomaru asked.
“You love this girl don't you?” Jaken
said with an eerie smile upon his face.
“That wasn’t what I asked you!”
“I know, I am here because you were
acting weird and I wanted to know why,” he said with that eerie smile still
upon his face. “ So do you love her M’ Lord?” Sesshomaru started to blush a
little and Jaken started to smile even bigger. “ So you do love this girl!”
“ So what if I do,” he snapped and
gave Jaken an evil grin that scared Jaken. “ I think she likes me too,” he
added but silently, but Jaken heard him but didn’t say anything.
About an hour or so later Shuichi was
shaking more and all of a sudden she stopped and then she got up, with a tattoo
of the black fire dragon on her left arm. She passed her “training”, and you
could tell because of all the marks and bruises on her body and the way she
walked from all the pain. To her, her training seemed like a year’s worth but
only took an hour or so, to complete. Sesshomaru didn’t even ask her how it
went he knew by the expression on her face.

“ You are the one they call Kagome are
you not? My name is Shika. You dropped this piece of clothing with your blood
on it hoping to see your family again right? But I can not allow you to leave
here-“
“What!” Kagome shouted interrupting
her, tears burning beneath her eyelids.
“ Yes, as I was saying you will not be
returning because of this love…”
“Love?” Kagome said trying to hold
back her tears.

“So how did it go?” Rin asked as soon
as she saw Shuichi.
“ What’s it look like!” Shuichi
snapped, as soon as she saw the tears starting to come to Rin’s face she felt
bad. “ I’m sorry Rin it’s just been a bad day, I’m sorry.”
“Its ok,” she said with a smile coming
back to her face as she ran to her and hugged Shuichi and smiled at Sesshomaru
as she saw him coming.
Later on that night, Sesshomaru asked
if they could try out her powers in the morning and she said yes that all she
needed was rest and they could practice in the morning. Then she went to the
Hot Springs to take a bath. As she went Jaken was talking with Sesshomaru.
“M’Lord you should tell the young
women that you love her.” Jaken said out of nowhere and Rin looked surprised.
“ What do you mean Jaken?”
“ I mean you should tell her to see if
she feels the same,”
“Oh, I see what you’re saying, I will
return later,” he said as he looked at Jaken “ Watch Rin Jaken!”
As Sesshomaru was going to the Hot
Springs he was saying over and over in his head what he was going to say to the
women he loved. As he approached her, she saw him coming and grabbed her
cloths.
“Ah! What are you doing here!” she
shouted.
“ I came here to tell you something,”
he said as he scratched his head.
“Well?”
“Oh, sorry I wanted to tell you that
I’m…I’m…-“
“I’m what?”
“I’m in love with you and I hope you
feel the same,” he said quickly as he blushed and turned his face away. She was
surprised herself at what he had to say.
“Uh…uh…Sesshomaru…I uh…I never knew…I’m
really flattered…but I have someone his name is Haiiro, and I love him. I’m
sorry,” She said. “ He’s been waiting for me to return home for awhile now, but
if I didn’t have him I would totally be yours right now but I’m taken, I’m
really sorry”
Sesshomaru’s face was full of
disappointment. As he was turning way she told him she thought it would be
better if she left in the morning and he agreed. As Sesshomaru went back to
camp Jaken didn’t even bother asking how it went he already knew by his face.

“Love?” Kagome asked.
“Yes, there’s a love here that I will
not allow to be broken,” Shika said. “ Inuyasha you love her and don't want her
to go but wants what’s best for her.”
“What Inuyasha? Is what she saying
true? Do you love me?” Kagome interrupted. Inuyasha looked away for a moment
and then looked back and her and took a deep breath and told her.
“ Yes, what she is saying is true.” He
said as he turned to walk away to sit down at the well. Kagome was stunned.
“ As I was saying, Kagome, you want to
go home but deep down inside she is glad she’s staying here forever because she
too loves you, Inuyasha.”
As Inuyasha heard what Shika said his
face brightened up a little. Kagome was blushing but then turned back to being
sad because she wasn’t going to be able to see her family.
“But, Kagome, I will allow you to
return home for 1 day to tell your family what happened, and when the sun goes
down, you will disappear and will automatically be back here with Inuyasha and
the others.”
“One day!” she complained.
“Yes, One day or no day!” Shika
snapped. “ Now I will allow you to return to tomorrow morning. You will stay
here until tomorrow night Inuyasha, and will wait for her and keep me company.”
“Yes,” they both said.

The next morning came slowly for
Kagome cause she wanted to see her family. As the sun was rising Shika was
shouting to wake up Kagome and Inuyasha.
“Ok, Kagome all you have to do is jump
in the well and you will be transferred to your time and when the sun goes down
you will disappear, and be brought back here so make sure you get what you want
said, said you got that?” Shika said.
“Ok,” Kagome said as she jump into the
well and then camp upon the other side where her grandpa and Sota was praying
for her to come home. As she came up
grandpa was so excited that she was there he called to Kagome’s mom. She came
running in to the shrine and was so happy to see her.
“ I was so afraid that you would never
come home!” Kagome’s mom said as she hugged her.
“ I’m sorry I scared you,” Kagome
said, tears burning beneath her eyelids. “ I have some terrible news to tell
you, why don't we go inside.” As they went inside they sat at the table and
asked what was wrong and she told them the whole story about the well on the
other side being broken and that she would not be returning back to Modern
Tokyo anymore because of that. Her mother burst in to tears!
“Why? You’re hear now why can’t you
stay?” she shouted.
Kagome told her about going to the
place called Paradise and what was going on and what Shika said.
“So what am I suppose to tell everyone
around here?” Grandpa asked.
“ Tell them I went to an aunts house
or went to America or something like that, I’m sure you’ll think of something.
Besides if they ever do get the well fixed I will be back…that is if I don't
let Inuyasha use the Shikon Jewel.” She said sadly.
“ So we only have today together and
then we will never see each other again?” Kagome’s mom asked.
“Yes mom, I wanted more time too.”
“ Well I guess I will stay home from
work today and Sota you will not be going to school today you will stay here
and spend time with your sister. We all will.”
“Ok mom,” Sota said happily.
As the day went on so fast, Kagome’s
mom, Sota, and Grandpa never parted that entire day. About an hour before
Kagome was to return Hojo was at the door bringing something to Kagome.
“Oh! Hi Hojo…What are you doing here?”
Kagome asked
“ I wanted to bring you something for
your back pain your grandpa said you have,” he said.
“Oh thank you.” Ah!
Grandpa! Why did you have to make up that?! Err! She thought to herself but then felt bad for thinking it. The stuff he brought was a back pillow and
some herbal stuff that his mother made for her.
“Well I just wanted to check up on you and give you this I will
see you later,”
“Ok, thank you again Hojo”
“Your welcome, bye Kagome” Hojo said
as he was leaving.
“Bye…” Kagome said as she was looking at the stuff Hojo gave her.
“Uh…Kagome dear its almost sundown…”
her mother said with her head down and then she started to cry.
“Ok so we should say our good-byes-“
Kagome said as she was starting to cry too. Everyone was starting to cry
because they were never going to see her again. They all walked out side to the
scared tree and said their good byes.
“I love you Kagome!” they all said.
“I love you all too” she said as she
was hugging them by the scared tree and then the sun went down and she
disappeared outta her family’s arms forever.
A few minutes later Kagome was back with Inuyasha crying.
“Oh! Kagome are you ok?” Inuyasha
asked with sympathy.
“Yes I will be fine I at least got to
see my family one last time,” she said “ Lets go, I bet everyone wondering
where we are.” She said wiping the tears from her eyes.
“Yes I bet they are,” he said while he
had his arms around her, as they were leaving the place called Paradise.

The Next morning Shuichi got up and
got her things together to go back home to Haiiro. As she was leaving she
kissed Rin on the forehead (she was still sleeping). Then before she left she was talking with Sesshomaru.
“You know if things don't work out with me and Haiiro I will come
and find you.” She said with a smile and then she kissed him on the cheek and
left.
As Shuichi was arriving at her Village
she was stunned to see that no one was around. When she walked in to her hut
she saw Haiiro with another woman! Shuichi was stunned to see that the man she
loved didn’t love her anymore either.
“What the hell is going on here!?”
Shuichi screamed.
“Uh…I can explain.” Haiiro said as he
stopped kissing the woman he was with.
“You can explain what? That you fell
for a worthless human!”
“Uh…”
“That’s right you can’t!” she screamed
as you could see her power rising and the human girl was scared outta her mind.
I should have stayed with Sesshomaru!
She said thinking to herself.
“I didn’t think you were coming back!”
he said quickly, to quickly. She gave him an evil look (I mean if looks could kill this one would have).
“I told you I would return no matter
what!” She said crying and then walked
outta the hut leaving a trail of Black Fire where she walked. Haiiro tried to
run after her but when he got to close he would burn or catch on fire so he
just left her alone. She decided she would return to Sesshomaru because she promised
she would if things went bad with Haiiro.
As she was trying to find her way back
to Sesshomaru, she ran into Inuyasha and Kagome.
“Well, well, well what do we have
here?” Shuichi said. “ It looks to me as if I see Kagome and Inuyasha.”
“Oh, well hi,” Kagome said, not really
paying attention.
“I wanted to say thank you for taking
care of me before, I really never got to thank you for that.”
“Oh, your welcome…if you don't mind we
really need to get going.”
“Ok…bye” Shuichi said quietly. She
ignored what had happened when she saw Kagome and Inuyasha and continued on her
journey to find Sesshomaru. After about what seemed like an a hour of walking
she finally got back to the camp where she had slept the night before and
caught Sesshomaru right before they left.
“Sesshomaru! Sesshomaru!” Shuichi
screamed. And then Sesshomaru turned around and was quite confused.
“What’s going on I thought you were
going back to Haiiro?” he asked
“I did…but he’s not important,” she
said and Sesshomaru knew what happened cause he could see the dry tear marks on
her face so he didn’t bother to ask. “ He’s with a worthless human!” she said
coldly with that evil look on her face again.
“So does that mean you will be staying
with us?” Rin interrupted.
“Yes, that means I will be, if
Sesshomaru will let me,” she said looking to Sesshomaru for the answer.
“Yes, Rin she will be staying with us
for awhile.” Sesshomaru tried to say calmly but had a smile creeping on to his
face he couldn’t hide. Shuichi smiled as they were on their way.

As Kagome and Inuyasha returned to
their village everyone (Miroku, Sango, Kaede, and
Shippo) gathered around to see
what had happened. As Kagome told them what happened they all smiled to see
that she was at least a little happier than what she was. She and everyone else
knew that it would take time for her to completely heal from this but she will
in time.
“So how’s our hut coming along?”
Kagome asked to change the subject off her.
“It would be better if Miroku would keep his hands to himself,”
Shippo said with a little laughter to his voice.
“Yes, It would be going faster if he
would keep his hands to himself” Sango said as she was pinching his hands for
rubbing her legs. WACK! WACK! “ KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF!” Everyone laughs as a girl beats up Miroku.
After she was done kicking his ass he stood up and said, “ It was worth the
pain…”
