That morning,
Li took care of Sesshomaru and Inu Yasha.
She tried everything she could so that she would feel better about
almost getting them killed. Miroku and
Sango sat out side talking with each other as well as Kagome and Shippo. Li kept quite about what she was doing. She had not told the others she had been
poisoned by Itai when his blood touched her.
Sesshomaru was a sleep on the cave floor as well as Inu Yasha.
Li lost her
strength quickly as she took care of the boys.
No one noticed this except Miroku.
He got her alone to talk.
“Li how are
you?” Miroku asked.
“I’m ok Miroku,
why?” Li asked.
“I know
something’s wrong. You’re losing
strength.” Miroku said.
“I know.” Li said as she turned around to head back to
camp.
“You know? Then what’s wrong?” Miroku asked.
“I’m sick.” Li simply put it.
They both stood
there and watched small snowflakes fall as it slowly began to fall harder.
“You’re going to
get better right?” Miroku asked.
“No, I
won’t. I’ll die.” Li said as she walked
back to the cave. “Miroku, don’t tell
anyone else about this, and here.” She
tossed him a shard of the Shikon jewel.
“What’s this
for?” He asked.
“That’s the last
piece of the jewel.” Li said.
Miroku stood
there watching after her.
The next morning,
they set off to go back to the village.
Sesshomaru and Inu Yasha didn’t talk to one another and that seemed fine
to everyone. Li had started not to eat
and kept wandering out to her little brother’s grave. One night, the others followed her.
“Why are we
following her? She’s just going to the
grave.” Inu Yasha said.
“Do you know
why?” Miroku said.
The others
stopped and stood quietly.
“Li is
dying. She’s hoping to die by her
brother’s grave soon. Here Kagome,
here’s the last piece of the jewel.”
Miroku said as he tossed her the jewel.
“We can save her
then.” Sango said.
“We can but we
won’t.” Miroku said.
“Why?” Kagome asked.
“She’s had a bad
life. She wants it to end, she wants to
see her mother and brother.” Miroku
said.
“She doesn’t have
to be dead to see her brother.” Shippo
said as he jumped into Kagome’s arms.
“What do you
mean?” Inu Yasha said, “We all watched
him die.”
“Then who’s that
with Li?” Shippo asked.
The others crept
into the brush and watched the two.
Ryuu walked up to Li and knelt down and curled up by her. Li opened her eyes.
“Ryuu? It’s you?
Am I dead yet?” Li asked as she wrapped her arms around him.
“No, you’re still alive, I’m the one who’s here.” Ryuu said as he put his arms around her.
“Ryuu, this has
been the most hardest year of my life.
I had no one left.” Li said as she patted her brother on the head.
“Love, I have to
leave soon, I’ll stay as long as I can.”
Ryuu said.
“You’re a ghost
then? But you feel so real.” Li said.
“Yes, the reason
you feel me is that you’re close to being with me forever.” Ryuu said.
You know I
can’t stay long
All I wanted
to say was I love you and I’m not afraid
Can you hear
me?
Can you feel
me in your arms?
Li gasped and
began to cough as she tried to catch her breath. She breathed in slowly as she closed her eyes and then opened
them and smiled. “I’m going to die
tonight. Will you stay with me till I
do?” Li asked as she kissed her
brothers forehead.
“I’ll try and
stay.” Ryuu said.

The snow came
down and made a blanket for the trees and Earth. Li smiled as she looked around herself. “I love winter, are there seasons where we’re going?” She asked.
“Yes but only
one, it’s spring all the time. The sun
is always shining and the flowers are always in bloom but you never did care
for the other seasons. You always loved
the still quietness of winter nights and the white sparkling fields around our
home…Mat thinks about you. He loved you
and he thinks your dead. He’s up there
too. He died in a car accident.” Ryuu said.
“But how, we’re
from two different worlds?” Li began to
cry as she pulled her brother closer.
“Love, my body is shutting down slowly.
My ears, I’m hearing a buzzing sound.
I can’t hear you anymore Ryuu.”
Li said as Ryuu pulled away and nuzzled her then licked her tear away
and smiled at her.
“You can hear
me. You don’t need those ears to know
what I’m saying.” Ryuu said.
I’ll miss the
winter
A world of
fragile things
Look for me in
the white forest
Hiding in a
hollow tree (come find me)
I know you hear

I can taste it

Li cried harder
as she was staring to drift off to sleep.
“Little brother, don’t leave me, please don’t leave me again.” Li begged.

“Love, I won’t
leave you. We’ll be together
forever. Close your eyes and
sleep. I’ll stay with you.” Ryuu said.
Li opened her
eyes to see that Ryuu was gone.
“Ryuu?” Li said as she tried to
move her hand.
She felt something
touch her; it wasn’t the cool feeling that her brother gave her. She looked up and she focused on several
figures.
Closing your
eyes to disappear
You pray your
dreams will leave you here
But still you
wake and know the truth
No one’s there
“Sesshomaru?” Li said.
Sesshomaru, along
with the others, sat down beside her.
They had tears in there eyes as they sat with her quietly. Rin was crying and Kagome tried hard not to
cry but wasn’t too good at it. Li
smiled as she felt Inu Yasha and Sesshomaru grab her hands. Li stayed quiet as she heard a voice. The others looked up to see Ryuu floating;
smiling.
Say goodnight
Don’t be
afraid
Calling me
calling me as you fade to black
“Li, why didn’t
you tell us you were dying?” Sesshomaru
asked.
“I don’t
know. I guess the poison took control
over my actions. I’m sorry, I’m so
sorry I was being selfish. I didn’t
realize that you cared so much about me.
If I could have a new life, I would go for it…” Li said.
“We can still
save you with the jewel.” Kagome said.
“No, you didn’t
let me finish, but if I would take that life, I wouldn’t be myself, I wouldn’t
know you guys, I wouldn’t be with my family.
I’ve wanted to live with my family forever and now I can.” Li said.
“Li, you’re a
bitch you know that.” Inu Yasha said.
“I know.” Li smiled.
“That wasn’t a
compliment you idiot! You’re a damn
fool to do this to all of us. If you
would have told us you were dying sooner we could have done something for you. So that we could remember you.” Inu Yasha said.
“Inu Yasha,
you’re crying aren’t you, you’re going to miss me? Well dog boy?” She
teased.
“I’m not
crying! But I will miss you. We all will miss you. I could always have friendly fights with you
and I knew that you could stand your own ground and wouldn’t use that damn sit
command either. Listen, when I die, I’m
going to challenge you to a fight of words.”
Inu Yasha said as he smiled.
“What? Why?”
Li said.
“Heh, you really
are stupid, because it’s going to get boring up their sooner or latter and I
like to have fun. So when I die we’re
going to carrying on like we haven’t even departed.” Inu Yasha said.
“Inu Yasha,
you’re a strange one and you’re going to raise some hell where we’re
going.” Li said.

Li coughed again
and began to loose her sight. She
smiled up at her friends and chuckled.
“I’m leaving.” She smiled.
“We’ll miss you
Li.” Shippo said.
“I’ll think of
you up there. I’ll miss you
always.” She said as she raised her
right hand with all her remaining strength and touched Sesshomaru’s cheek. “Sessho, I always liked you and you can be
very kind. Please let the others see
that side that you showed me. The side
that has your heart. You don’t have to
act tuff in order to be tuff. Remember
that night when I broke down your barriers and seen your heart. I loved you then and I love you now. I’m not afraid and I’ll watch over all of
you.” Li said as she moved her hand to
Rin’s head. “My sweet Rin. Don’t cry; there are a lot of people here
who will care for you. Now, look at
me. I’m not sad, I’m happy. I want you to be happy and I’ll always be in
your heart. Remember the good times we
shared and the bad. If you don’t forget
me, I’ll never be truly gone.” Li said
as she felt her hand be held as Sesshomaru kissed it.
“Li, you’ll never
leave. I know that, I want you to be
happy; to be free of this retched life of yours. Be happy Li.” Sesshomaru
said.
The others stared
at him for what he had said. Li smiled
as her hand began to fall.
“It will take
time but the others will get used to your heart. I won’t say goodbye. I’ll
see you again.” Li said as she closed
her eyes and her hand fell to the soft cold ground.

The others
watched her chest fall, as her pail face lay motionless against the head stone
of her little brother. They got up;
they quietly dug a hole next to Ryuu’s grave and carefully put Li into it. They buried her and put a rock by the head. They carved words into the stone. They read, ‘Li Shara; Age 18; Let your soul
finally be set free and alive’

Five years after
Li’s death, the others lived quietly in the village. Fighting off countless demons that tried to take the Shikon
jewel. Kagome was now twenty and Inu
Yasha and herself finally made a relationship during the years. You could say that things were good.
Inu Yasha sat in
the tree that Kikyo had pined him to five years ago. He smiled down at the small child in his arms as she slept. The girl was three and she had silver hair with
silver colored ears with black tips.
She moved as she began to wake up.
She looked up and smiled.
“Daddy…” She said
as she yawned.
“Yes?” Inu Yasha said as he looked down at her.
“Daddy? Is Mommy coming home today? She’s been away for a while.” She said.
“Ya, she’ll be
home soon Ame.” Inu Yasha said as he
jumped down out of the tree.
“Ok.” She said as she snuggled into Inu Yasha
chest as he stopped to see a shadow walking around.
“Hey Sesshomaru,
I haven’t seen you since Li died five years ago. And who do you have there?”
Inu Yasha said as he looked down to the boy at his feet.
The small boy had
the same silver hair and the amber eyes as his father but a smaller built
body. Sesshomaru had been with one
other dog demon since Li. The boy’s
mother was dead and this is the first time that he has seen Inu Yasha.
“I see that you
also have a child little brother. Is
she yours and your human’s?” He
asked. Sesshomaru looked down at the
boy who had that same serious look as his father.
“Father, who is
that?” He asked as he lifted his hand
to push the hair back behind his ear.
He had the same ears as his dad.
“Okoru, this is
your Uncle Inu Yasha.” Sesshomaru said.
“Ame, I want you
to meet Your Uncle Sesshomaru, and Okoru, your cousin.” Inu Yasha said.
“Hi, Uncle
Se-so-meru, hi Okoru.” Ame said.
“We’ll work on
the name a bit. How old is yours?” Inu Yasha asked.
“He’s four, and
yours?” Sesshomaru asked.
“She just turned
three.” He replied.
They both turned
to see Kagome walk up behind them along with Sango and Miroku who had a newborn
baby boy and girl.
“Mommy!” Ame yelled as she jumped out of Inu Yasha’s arms
ran towards Kagome. “Look, look, Uncle
Se-so-meru and Okoru!” She said happily
as she jumped up into her arms.
“Hello Ame. Sesshomaru?
I haven’t seen you in a while.
How are you, and who is this? Is
he you’re son?” Kagome asked.
“He is, and I’m
fine, Okoru, this is your Aunt Kagome.”
Sesshomaru said.
“Hello Aunt
Kagome.” Okoru said.
“He’s very good
at speaking clearly.” Kagome said as
she put her daughter down and stood up.
“Where’s Rin?”
“I’m over
here.” She said as she came walking
towards them. “How are you?” She asked.
“You’re talking?” Sango said.
“Ya, I started to
talk about three years ago.” Rin said.
“We have a lot of
things to catch up on.” Kagome said.
Ame walked over
to Okoru and smiled as she grabbed his hand. “Let’s play! Come on
Okoru!” She said as she pulled Okoru away
from the others.
“Now Ame, don’t play
so rough.” Kagome said.
“Aw mom,” Ame said
as she let go of Okoru’s hand.
“Let her play Kagome,
she’s got demon blood. She can’t help being
rough when she plays.” Inu Yasha said.
“Can you fight?” Okoru asked.
“I think so, why?”
Ame said.
“Then will you
spare?” He asked.
“Okoru, I don’t think
she could stand a chance against you.” Sesshomaru said.
“Daddy, what does
par mean?” Ame asked.
“You know, remember
when I showed you how to fight?” Inu Yasha
asked.
“Ya.” She said.
“That’s what
spare is.” Inu Yasha said.
“Oh, so I just
have to hit you. Ok!” Ame said. As she walked in front of
Okoru. “My daddy said that I could be
really tricky.”
“I don’t think you’ll
win.” Okoru said as he put up his
hands.
“I’m going to hit
you now ok.” She said.
“You don’t ask…you
just do it.” Okoru said.
Ame ran forward
and tried to scratch Okoru with her claws.
* * * * *
The gang sat down
and talked they were having a blast when they heard a noise and turned to see
two familiar figures.
“Li? Ryuu?”
They said.
“Yes, it’s
us. We wanted to see how you guys are
doing.” Li said as she looked at her
old friends. She stopped on the small
children and smiled. “I’ve seen that
you guys are doing alright.”
“Sis?” Ryuu said.
“Yes, I know, I
can’t stay long, I just want to come back and tell you guys that’s I’m happy
and I’ve missed you.” Li said as she
smiled.
“You can’t stay
long?” Kagome asked.
“No, I told you I
came here to tell you that I’m happy. I
wanted to see if you guys were too and you were. You have a new generation of jewel protectors.” Li said as she began to glow.
“We’ve missed you
too. We’ll see you in the afterlife
ok.” Sango said as they all smiled and
waved.
After Li and Ryuu
left, they all became quiet. Ame and
Okoru looked at their fathers, “Who was that?”
“That was
Li. She was an old friend.” They both said.
* * * * *
The gang began to
talk once again. They all smiled and
laughed as the day changed to night.
Sesshomaru,
Okoru, Rin, and Jaken who had now caught up; left the others and walked towards
the direction of the moon. Sesshomaru
looked up at the sky and saw a shooting star fly a crossed it. They stopped and made camp to sleep at. Okoru was asleep in Sesshomaru’s arms and
Rin was sleeping on the ground beside them.
He looked down at his small child and patted his head.

Inu Yasha and Kagome
lay side by side together with Ame between them. Inu Yasha watched the sky as he too saw the same shooting
star. He closed his eyes and turned
towards Kagome and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her temple. Ame moved a little as she began to
whine. Inu Yasha pulled her into his
arms and kissed her cheek. She calmed
down and drifted off to sleep. Inu
Yasha smiled as he closed his eyes to fall asleep.
Both thought
about Li that night and what she did to affect their lives. They both had a family and were happy. They both sighed and thought to them selves…

Thanks for
reading my story. It was kinda sappy
but I liked it. I didn’t want to keep
writing about Li’s bad life so I sent her to peace. I will continue to keep Li in my Sit Down Sessions.
Ok Ame means rain, Okoru means to get
angry, other wise I don’t believe I used any other words in here.
Oh yes, I don’t give a shit any more if
you guys don’t like my plot for Inu Yasha and Kagome to have a child, and
Sesshomaru to have a son. x_x’ Sorry,
I’m just tired, another staying up till 2 am again. I have to stop doing this.
Well, thought t would be nice if Inu Yasha had a little girl and
Sesshomaru to have a little boy and have Sango and Miroku stuck with
twins. Well hope you liked it, I’m
going to bed.
