Racial Information

Brief History

Elves were despised and hunted down by the dark god of greed, Zodo, and thus there numbers are flaunting.

Positives/Negatives

Elves are at one with nature and are very patient beings. They have developed their magical knowledge beyond that of most races and do not rely on technology of any form to survive. However their desire to keep to the old ways has often hindered their progress and survival.

Reproduction

All elves come in only two genders, male and female. Elves can mate with any other elf in its class, any other elf of another class, or a human- though it is highly unlikely an elf will mate with a human, as long as it is of the opposite gender. Elves that mate with other elves of different classes, plains elf and gray elf for example, are often called duo elves The rare but possible offspring of an elf and a human is called a half-elf, or halfie. There is only a 8% chance that a Wood Elf will mate with other class elves, and a 3% chance a wood elf will mate with a human. They mate following a normal mating process, and if lucky, the female elf becomes pregnant. There is a 60% chance the female will conceive her first child after mating. The chance drops by 10% after every child (60%=1st child, 50%=2nd child, 40%= 3rd child...etc).Pregnancy last for 5 months. The first month, known as the Honeymoon, is an enjoyable month. The second until end of 4th month, known as the Great Strife, is full of day-long sickness, back-aches, and dizzy spells. There is a 35% chance the female elf will die during this stage. The last month, known as Finale, is a month of great excitement and nervousness. At the end of the 5th month the baby is delivered with only a little pushing. There is no chance of death here for either mother or child.

Lifespan

Elves have three stages of life. The first stage, childhood, last from birth until 75 (Human Equivalent Age of 15). During this stage the young elf grows and develops its many skills needed for survival. The young elf stays at home during this stage. The second stage, becomance, last from 76 until 105 (Human Equivalent Age of 15.2 until 21). During this stage the elf leaves his parents and lives with relatives. This stage is when the elf learns what it means to be a man or woman. The final stage, adulthood, last from 106 until death. During this stage the elf must first become accepted into the elfin culture, which varies from tribe to tribe, and then is allowed to live on his or her own. It is also during this stage that an elf may find a spouse. According to elfish law, the female must persuade her love to court her. After which it is up to the male to marry her. Death comes naturally and expectantly to the elves. They view death as a transforming from this world to the next, and celebrate it. Death usually comes when the dying elf is asleep.

Food & Sleeping Requirements

Elves require 3 meals a day consisting of fruits, vegetables, fungus, small fowl and woodland creature, and water. They must sleep a full nights cycle every night or suffer from fatigue (-5 from endurance per missed cycle).

Wood Elf

History: Wood Elves are a variety of elf that thrive in woodland areas. Elves were despised and hunted down by the dark god of greed, Zodo, and thus there numbers are flaunting. The Wood Elf, however, escaped much of this and remains in good numbers. This is mainly because of their exceptional survival, hiding, and tracking skills.

Positives/Negatives
: Wood elves are excellent hunters bearing keen eye sight that allows them to see a mile away under good conditions, and keen hearing that allows them to hear the slightest whisper. Wood elves also have a good sense of smell. By using their sense of smell, and knowing the difference between smells, they are able to sniff-out what is coming, out to sniff-out their prey. They also boast a 50% hide and track ability. Their disadvantages are more related to their customs and behavior. A Wood elf does not get along good with any other race beside silver elves. Because of this, wood elves due not make great travel companions. Their stubbornness and prejudices will lead them to their death if they travel with any of an other race. Basically, they have severe xenophobia.

Appearance: Wood elves are tall and skinny. Their skin is lightly tanned, and have ears that measure to be about 3 long. Their hair color is either blonde or brown, and eye color is green.

Living Habitat: Wood elves have extreme xenophobia and live secluded deep in forested regions. It is rare to see a wood elf travel.
