3.) Taal's confessions to a supposed ally

As I continued my observations, I had to play my role with such high quality, that not even the despot Taal Zodo would be the wiser. In fact, though I may sound a bit boastful, I played my part with such quality, Taal Zodo soon came to trust me as a friend and almost an equal. Though at times this was spiritually a difficult thing to do, it soon bore its benefits in a most unlikely fashion.

It was after the Siege of Cape Semaphore, in 492az that Taal Zodo came before me in my private studies. After some idle chitchat, he begun telling me a great confession. He confessed that he was fearful for the people of Mythus from the demon that lived within. The demon he called Zodo. He said he wanted to end all greed, but now was feeling the weight of the worlds greatest greed. He confessed that while Zodo was causing this, he could feel the blood of millions on his hands, and while he at many times tried, and failed, to stop what was going on, there were times when he just sat back, idly watching, and praying that this was all just some messed up dream. He so wished he could just end his life, but knew that is what Zodo wanted.
