POEMS I BELIEVE CONNECT WITH                 HIGHER GROUND

PATIENCE
by Fawzi Algahaim

You said you cared
and I believed.
You said "Give me time."
I asked "How long?"
You replied "Not long."
and I'm still waiting and
waiting long
So I declared, I'll leave you
behind.
But as for now,
I'll stand the time.

BAD SELF-ESTEME
by Fawzi Algahaim

Why are you so unkind?
When you get a smile, you give a frown
Why are you so ashamed
of what and who you are?
You hide beneath the ground.
You run away from the sight of
life
You'd rather die than be found
You live a life of lies.
Your a woman and a man.
Your a child without a shining
light.
You are a whispering best in the night

WHAT DID I DO?
by Timothy Reitz

What did I do that was so horrid
What did I do to you that makes me that orge
Why is it that you aren't the wrong one
It's because I'm male and your
female
Were there different rules in this game
Why didn't you tell me the rules were different
DO you think your better than I am
DO you think I didn't notice that
your being crule and unfair
Well I have, but that won't make a difference now
You're there and I'm here
Let's keep our distance
Let's just stay away
You don't play fair
But you don't care
Fine be that way
I'll be the one that can face the following day

BEING A FRIEND IS WRONG
IN HER EYES
by Timothy Reitz

She said she cared
She said she'd be there
Why did she lie
What did I do
Why is it because I followed my heart
I got screwed
I did something wrong in her eyes
I simply promised to be a friend
Is there something wrong with that
Was I suppose to lie like she did
I truely don't believe that
I won't say I'm sorry
I won't forgive you
All I did was try to be a friend
to you
So let me be
Ley my soul be free
