MEET THE CHARACTERS!!

Peter Scarbrow- He's the "headmaster" of Mt. Horizon for the past 3 years.  He used to be a wall street man around 7 years ago until an addiction to drugs made him loose his career, and almost his family.  Peter knows what alot of the kids he teaches face.  He teaches them respect for them selves and others and to appreciate themselves more.

Sophie Becker- She meet Peter in Rehab (yes she was an addict to).  The became instant friends.  After a three year absence from Peters life (she was exploring)  She came back.  Peter convinces Sophie to become part of horizon and after Hannah leaves, she does.  She's gone through alot also.  Her and Peter share the same love for daredevil sports and maybe even a love for each other.

Katherine (Kat) Anne Cabot-  Katherine is a African- American irl who was adopted by a kind loving family.  But they just happen to be white.  Katherine is the senior of the Cliffhangers.  She has been there for almost 2 years.  After the death of her adopted sister who drowned when Katherine was with her.  Kat always blamed herself.  After she meets Hank her life seems to be getting better.

Ezra Friedkin- Ezra was adopted as a baby to a couple who thought Ezra could save their marrage.  But when that didn't work out Ezra suffered greatly.  It hurt him and he began using drugs to comfort himelf.  He was sent to Horizon after he overdosed.  He had a strange love for shelby, who hated him.  But when he met Daisy, another student, just as weird as he is, they became inseperable.

Daisy Lipenowski- known as a "sullen adolecent" she hides under a mask of gothic attitude to hid years od emotional abuse she suffered under her drunken parents.  When her dad threatened to turn physical she hit him with a golf club and was sent to Horizon.  Her insight into things and the ability to see through the fakeness of some people is very good.  Her and Ezra share a love for weird things and are great friends.

Scott Barringer-  He's 16.  Handsome athletic he comes to Horizon and is instantly dubbed the bad boy.  In his home town he used to be a great football star.  But after being seduced by his stepmother he turns to drugs and theft.  He was afraid to tell anyone but after he meets Shelby that all change.  He tells her about it.  He tells her everything.  But his father refuses to believe him and so does CPS.

Shelby Merrick- Shelby's a tough teen.  She's had to be After being abused by her stepfather she runs to the streets and picks up on prostitution and drugs.  She trusts hardly anyone.  Yet she loves Scott.  He told her about Elaine.  She is covering up her pain with a mask of toughness and as Daisy told her "Your using all your strength to keep on that mask but soon you won't"  She has to tell sometime.

Juliet Wayborne- Juliet has grown up in lots of different households.  Her mom has been re-married several times.  Growing up around overachievers Juliet strived to be "pertect"  she turned to Bulimia and self-mutilation.  Recently after hearing that her mother was getting remarried she turned to cutting again.  She used to go out with Scott but now goes out with Auggie.

Auggust (Auggie) Ciceros- Auggie grew up in a tough neighbor hood.  His brother is in a gang and he used to be a tagger.  His loving mother and father along with the authorities sent him to Horizon.  At horizon the staff discovered that Auggie was Dyslexic.  With the help of Juliet and the horizon staff he learns to read.  He is in love with Juliet and recently they ran away together.
