checks payable to “LCIF—CSF II.” Do NOT make the checks payable to “Little Beaver Lions.” (...and, if you have pledged,
PLEASE make timely payments.)
To date 29 of our 57 members have pledged $30, 288. Of this amount we have collected $21,311. We still have $8,977 to
collect. Therefore, please keep up-to-date on your payments. We don’t want to fall short!

We Distribute 55 Christmas Food Baskets! The Little Beaver Lions and Lioness helped make Christmas a bit merrier for local, needy families by preparing and distributing 55 Christmas Food Baskets. These baskets included a turkey, loaf of bread, canned vegetables, potatoes, onions, bag of Hershey Kisses, apples, celery, bag of noodles, jar of applesauce, margarine, Jello and miscellaneous food items that were donated like soup, spaghetti sauce, baked beans, canned pineapple.
Committee Chair Lion Ben Hostetler thanks all Lions, Lioness and community friends who helped with donations of cash and canned goods. Special thanks are extended to those who donated money for purchasing items for the Food Baskets: First Presbyterian Church of Darlington --$200, , Citizens Watch Committee of Darlington--$75, Elsie Russell--$50, Lion Tom Cekovich and LuAnn--$50, Coach Joe Hamilton and his wife Barb--$25, Richard Young--$25, towards purchasing items for the food baskets. Also, a sincere thank you to the staff of the Northwestern Primary School who donated two big boxes of canned goods.
Last but not least, many thanks to the Little Beaver Lions and Lioness who donated money, canned goods, other food items and, most importantly, their time. On Friday from 5:30-7 pm, Lions Ben Hostetler, Keith Householder, Paul Mulig, Dave O'Neil, John Wakelee, Tom Hinds, Jack Wilson, Art Stear, Tom Pashuta, Brian Rooney, Nathan Weister, Don Sherman, Melanie Irwin and Allen Ferguson and Lioness Bev Hostetler, Dorothy Sherman and Bev Young assembled the food baskets. On Saturday from 9:20 am to 12:30 pm, Lions Ben Hostetler, Allen Ferguson, Tom Hinds, Bill Laughner, Keith Householder, Paul Mulig, Jack Wilson, Dave O'Neil, John Wakelee and Tom Pashuta distributed the Food Baskets.
Lion Ben said “I would like to thank all those who contributed of their time. The food basket assembly went very smoothly. In fact, it went so well that we

were finished and walking out of the church hall when Bill & Marlene Laughner came to help. This was my first year and I thought it would be overwhelming but, thanks to everyone, it went smoothly. Special thanks to my wife Bev for helping me to co-ordinate and type all the info and thanks to Tom Hinds and Allen Ferguson for being there whenever I had any questions and to lend a helping hand. Also, I think the tail-twister should fine LionTom Cekovich. Instead of helping us turkeys Saturday, he was enjoying breakfast at Brady's Run Grill--but none of us were invited!! (Just kidding, Lion Tom!! We appreciated your help Friday evening.)”
Special thanks go out to Bob and Cathy Weaver of Weaver’s Country Market for all their help with this project....and last, but not least, thank you Lion Hostetler for yet another successful Christmas Food Basket Service Project!
Cool Yule! About 45 people enjoyed a delicious buffet catered by Weavers at our annual Lions-Lioness Christmas Party at the Enon Valley Rod and Gun Club. Dinner was followed by dancing and fellowship. Many thanks to Lions Hinds and Mark Hudak for arranging such an enjoyable evening.
Nine Help With the Lighthouse Christmas Party Eight Little Beaver Lions (B. McCarl, J. Seiber, Rooney, Thayer, McClain, Pashuta, Lanctot and Householder) and Lioness McClain) helped with the annual Christmas Party at The Lighthouse. Thanks for helping with this important event!
