Sung From The Heart
Chapter 9: Is There Life After Death?
Sitting in the emergency waiting room, Sakura just stared at the emergency door. Inside Syaoran was hovering between life and death. Sakura closed her eyes and prayed with all her heart for Syaoran's life.
Someone tapped Sakura's shoulder.
"Miss, your friend is dying You can see him for a few minutes," said a tired nurse, looking sadly at the young girl.
Walking slowly, she tried and tried to believe that this was all a dream. Hoping that it was just a nightmare and that she would wake up in her room. But when she reached the pale white bed and touched the still hand of Syaoran, she knew it wasn't a dream.
Bowing her auburn head, she cried silently. Sobbing for all the harsh and tormented things that had happened. Crying for Syaoran, not believing that he was going to die like her mother.
"Everyone leaves me"
"Sakura?"
She immediately looked up to the dying warrior to see a glint of amber.
"Syaoran!" she cried, tears still on her face. Hugging him close, she cried harder but was stopped when Syaoran spoke.
"Sakura I can't live in this world anymore" he said slowly.
"But I will always love you" he said, with a look of pure love shining in his eyes. Then he wiped her tears away with a cold hand and closed his eyes.
"SYAORAN!!!!!" cried Sakura, shaking him.
"Syaoran" she sobbed, her heart broken.
Still holding his hand that was on her face, she cried and cried.
He had left her once again all alone
~*~
Two days later
Syaoran's funeral was to be held in a week's time so that his family could come to mourn. Sakura herself had changed. No longer was she crying but she was shunning everyone except for her guardians.
Up in her room Sakura paced around her room collecting all her photos, mini tapes, cards and letters, finally the Clow book. After a long and sad talk to Kero and Yue, she had sealed them back into the Clow book. To wait for the next mistress/master. Then she put all her memories and part of her soul into a red chest with golden inscriptions on it. Then chanting a spell, she sealed it totally. Though there was a lock there was no key. She knew that only the chosen one could open it. That chosen one would have her heart's key. Then she finally rested. Lying on her bed, remembering all of those childhood days, she closed her eyes and muttered the final spell.
A Soul Taker spell.
(A.N: If you've read stories like Dimensions or even Harry Potter you will know that if your soul is taken away from you, you will die.)

"Today we are here to lay rest to two people. Li Syaoran and Kinomoto Sakura," said the priest, his head bowed as many people cried and looked terribly saddened.
Tomoyo and Eriol were among them, near by was Touya and Fujitaka, by them was Yelan, Fuutie, Fanren, Xiefa, Feimei, Meilin Li. Many of the Li Clan were there and also many of Sakura's fans from all over the world.
"Li Syaoran, only son of Yelan Li, faithful and strong. May you rest in peace. Kinomoto Sakura, only daughter of Fujitaka Kinomoto, sweet and cheerful. May you rest in peace."
"May they be together forever," said Eriol to Tomoyo who was weeping profusely on his shoulder.

"And so they died together finally,"
Kissing her daughter's forehead, she covered the patchwork quilt over the small child.
"Are they real?" asked the child, sleepy.
"Yes, dear" the mother said.
"Sakura was your great great grandfather's sister," said the mother, tucking the child's soft toys into bed.
"In fact, she and your great great grandfather lived in this same house," said the mother.
Then the mother sat in her chair and watched as her three-year old daughter sailed off to dreamland.
Sighing, she pulled out a necklace from her pocket and placed it a box. Writing a short note, she wrapped it up. Then sitting back down in the chair, she whispered softly.
"I love you Sakura dear" before she closed her eyes forever.
So died Kinomoto Nadeshiko, wife of Fujitaka and mother to Touya and Sakura Kinomoto.
Be brave little one... Chapter 10!
Author's Notes: You all are probably gonna kill me. But before you do, I would like to say I will write a sequel if you give me the chance. Please don't flame me. Oh, the part about the mother thing, well, if you go back to the first chapter, you would see that the story starts like this.
Thanks for all the reviews that people have sent for me to read through out the story. I'm really glad you had written. So this is goodbye for now. Maybe forever. It depends on you if you want me to write a sequel.
