Jari Litmanen, born on 20 Februari in Lahti, Finland.
He starts playing football very young. His grandpa photographed
his first actions (3rd photo). besides football Jari also played ice-hockey,
the national sport of Finland. He is also very good in it but he chooses football.
His first club is reipas Lahti and later Mypa were he wins the national cup.
He went to several European top clubs, for exampl: Leeds united, Barcelona and PSV
but none of them wants him. He also ent to Ajax where Louis van Gaal
saw his qualities and he got a contract. The season 1992-'93 is a learning
periode for Litmanen. He plays 12 matches for Ajax that season. The
next season Dennis Bergkamp went to Inter and jari saw his chance.
In first place Dan petersen plays on Bergkamp's position but when he
got injured Jari took his chance. From then he is a player of the
starting lineup, to be that for years.
