Because Ajax became Champion of the Netherlands in 1994 they were allowed to join the
Champions League. Their first match was against AC Milan in their own
Olympic Stadium (build for the Olympic games of 1928). Ajax won with 2-0,
Jari scored the 2nd goal. Then Ajax wins with 2-1 from AEK Athens, Jari scores the 1-1 and are
there two matches against Casino Salzburg. The away match ended in 0-0
and home it became 1-1, again with one goal from Jari. After that Ajax plays
again against AC Milan in Tri�st. AC Milan had to play in Tri�st because
the goalkeeper of Salzburg was hit by a bottle in their match in San Siro.

defended him very well. Ajax wins the Champions League because Patrick
Kluivert scores 1-0. In 1995-'96 Ajax is in a group with Ferencefaros,
Real Madrid and Grasshopers, they ended in fist place and win in the
second round from Borrusia Dortmund. (away 0-2 and home 1-0) To reach to
final Ajax has to beat Panatinaikos. The first match, home Ajax lost with
1-0. Away Jari makes an end of the illustions of Panatinaikos, he scores
two times. After that Nordin Wooter scores 3-0. The final is against
Juventus. Ravanelli scores 1-0 after half an hour. A couple of minuts

For Ajax Sonny Silooy and Edgar Davids misses a penalty. It was ofcourse
a great dissapointment but Jari can, again look back on a good CL-season, he scored again
