T
he hero of our story is Ash, a 10-year old boy who lives with his mother
in a place called Pallet Town. Here, children are eligible to receive a
license to keep Pokemon when they become 10 years old. Professor Oak of the
local Pokemon Research Center gives each one a Pokemon for beginners. The
children then embark on a training expedition to master the skills required to
achieve the much sought after position of "Pokemon Master".
On the morning of his scheduled departure, Ash oversleeps, and finds himself
starting off far behind the other children. He receives his Pokedex and the
only remaining Pokemon, a "Pikachu" (also known as the Electric Mouse), and
hastily begins his journey.
Pikachu turns out to be a rather temperamental , somewhat difficult companion,
but Ash, who loves Pokemon, is happy to finally have one of his own. And so
Ash and Pikachu's adventures begin.
For Ash, the road to becoming the world's best Pokemon Master is along one
indeed... and Ash and Pikachu's journey has only just begun!
