To duplicate the Master ball:
Take an Ultra ball and get in a fight with the Pokemon you are trying to catch. Throw the Ultra ball and when the Ultra ball releases from your hand hold up + B (this code works 70% of the time).
To turn a Poke ball into a Great ball:
Get into a fight with a Pokemon that you could catch with a Great ball. Throw a Poke ball at the Pokemon right when the Poke ball hits and shuts on the Pokemon hold down A the Poke ball will close stronger turning it into a Great ball. (This code works 60% of the time).
To catch pokemon from the Safari Zone on Cinnabar Island:
First go to the Safari Zone and run into some pokemon that are rare and hard to catch then leave the Safari Zone. Fly over to Cinnabar Island and Surf right on top of the block where the water and land meet. You will run into pokemon from the Safari Zone but you can now use your pokemon and Ultra balls to catch them.(This code works 40% of the time).
To turn a Great ball into an Ultra ball:
First take a Great ball and get in a fight with a pokemon that could be caught by an Ultra ball. Throw the Great ball and right when the Great ball releases from your hand hold down + B (this code works 65% of the time).
The fourth moon stone:
First fly to Cinnabar Island and go into the pokemon House. Right when you walk in there are boxes on the left and right. Walk up to the fifth box from the bottom on the right then press A on it and there it is. There is also a secret moon stone in Mt. Moon.
These Pokemon need to be traded to a friend to evolve:
Kadabra = Alakazam.
Graveler = Golem.
Haunter = Gengar.
Machoke = Machamp.
Get Mewtwo
After you have gotten all eight of your badges, you need to go beat the pokemon league. The credits will roll and then the menu pops up again. DO NOT RESET THE GAME! Go to Cerulean City. Go north to the bridge where you faced 5 trainers before the path to Bill's house. Turn left and there will be a large area of water. Surf until you get to a cave. You will find Mewtwo in that cave.
Get Missing no.
Talk to the man in Viridian city, and then fly to Fuchsia City. Swim to Sea foam islands, DON'T BATTLE, and swim up and down the east coast. Run away from the first Pokemon. Keep swimming and find Missing no.
Get level 128 Mewtwo
If you don't have a Bulbasaur you can't do this cheat. Once you have a Bulbasaur and have all the badges, talk to the man that catches a Weedle in Viridian City. After talking to him, go fly to Cinnabar and trade any pokemon in the lab. Go to the east side of Cinnabar and surf up and down. Eventually, you will find a level 128 Mewtwo.
Fight Safari Pokemon Elsewhere
Unlimited chances to catch rare Pokemon
Find a rare Pokemon such as a Mewtwo. Right before you go into battle with it, save the game. Now you can battle the Pokemon without worrying that you didn't catch it because if you screw up and it faints, just stop where you are and shut off the game. When you turn it back on, select continue and you should be saved right before getting into battle with the Pokemon.
Harder Hitting Attacks
Hold the A button while you're attacking and it will do more damage than if you didn't hold it.
Clone Pokemon
Warning! This could delete a saved game!
You need a friend for this. Trade the pokemon to be cloned and have your friend get a pokemon they don't care about. Trade them, and make sure the person getting the bad pokemon can see the other person's screen. When the receiver of the good pokemon�s screen says "waiting", get ready to shut the other one off. When "waiting" disappears, turn off the Game Boy that's getting the bad pokemon. When the other one says "trade completed", turn that one off too. When you turn the games back on, you should both have the pokemon.
Phantom PC
Go to Celadon City and make your way to the motel. Go to the far right wall and look north until he is in the middle square. Press A and a ghost computer will appear.
Secret Coins
At the Game Corner there are secret coins lying around. You can get these coins by walking around and pressing the A button. The amount of coins that you can get, seem to vary from person to person.
Start With All Three Start Pokemon
Requires 2 linkable game boy systems, 2 Pokemon games (any color), and a game link cable.
Make sure that Game Boy B takes Bulbasaur to start and then you�ll see the rest of the code below:
1. Start a new game with Game Boy A
2. Go to Professor Oak�s and get Squirtle
3. Go to nearest Pokemon center and trade Squirtle to Game Boy Boy
4. Start new game with Game Boy A
5. Repeat 2-4
6. Go to Professor Oak�s and get Charmander
7. Go to nearest Pokemon center and trade Charmander to Game Boy B
8. Start new game with Game Boy A
9. Repeat 6-8
10. Go to Professor Oak�s and get Bulbasaur.
Game Boy B should have 2 Squirtles and 2 Charmanders, so trade one of each back to Game Boy A.
Cloning Items
If you want one hundred and twenty of anything e.g. Rare candies, Nuggets, Master balls etc, then go to Viridian City and talk to the man who says "Ah I've had my coffee now and I feel great! Sure you can go through! Are you in a hurry?" select "NO", he will show you how to catch Pokemon then from the spot you are on fly to Cinnabar Island then walk to the east coast and surf up and down it (half on land half in water) you should see Missing no, defeat him. You will see a little mark next to the number of the Item Six down on your item list!
