MY LIFE

Dance, love and music - three things to be happy!
It was a beautiful raining afternoon. I was eight years old and I and my mother were walking at Viaduto do Chá in São Paulo when suddenly I looked around and I saw... All the girls were wearing pantyhose and they wear their hair in buns. I found that image so beautiful and I saw a woman talking to them, and suddenly I run into the woman. She was a teacher and I asked her how could I become one of those girls. She gave my mother all the instructions and the dream came true.
The first day I entered the room was very strange, Tchaikovisky, Beethoven, Mozart and Chopin, what kind of songs were that, I thought, but I began to appreciate all of them later. The first step was a warm up; legs and arms, everybody moving around and my canvas shoe very tight because when I went to buy it I was so excited, that I didn´t noticed that it was tight, but I was so happy...!
Year after year the dance was becoming more and more part of my life and when I was on the fourth grade I made my first coreography at school. The song looked like a mosquito or fly buzzing and I and my school friends danced beautifully and very happy...! This experience was so nice that other coreographies came after the first one. The next one was a big success. I was on fifth grade, I and two friends prepared a "chair dance" and we used The Carpenters´ song "Please Mr. Postman". The audience loved it and we were invited to dance it at São Paulo´s Municipal Theater, by Toshie Kobayashi. She was my teacher of ballet at Municipal and I invited her to see my presentation at school, because I Knew she had a niece at my school, and she came to see her niece , me and my group. As she liked the presentation very much, she invited us to participate in her school´s show at the end of the year."Please Mr.Postman" reminds me a wonderful time of my life.
After this I continued dancing and enjoying myself with many songs, especially Michael Jackson´s songs, at that time "The Jacksons Five". I and my friends used to make dances every weekend ,and on a Saturday night I went to a friend´s birthday and she played "BEN" one of the most beautiful Jacksons Five songs, and this was my first kiss. I was twelve years old and all stars came near me.I´ll never forget this. His name was Fernando, and he was cute and very intelligent. I loved him for almost three hours, but when the dance had finished, I discovered that the world was waiting for me.
Many things happened and I continued dancing and listening my songs. When I was fifteen, I met a boy and I really fell in love with him. He was the biggest love of my life.We danced Bee Gees, Elton John,Paul McCartney and others lots of time.We Kissed ourselves hours and hours listening our songs. "How deep is your love" was a song that always drove us crazy and made us very happy...!While we were dating we never had a fight, and we loved each other so much, but as I was studying hard at high school, working on coreographies and studying English to go to the U.S.A, one day he told me: "You´re not the girl I´m looking for to be my wife".He wanted someone to clean his house, to wash his clothes, to take care of his children (he had two),and he also told me that he knew that I wasn´t that girl. (I really wasn´t).
One day he went away forever; I danced the song "The time of my life" from the movie "Dirty dancing" for ten hours without any interruption. I danced and cried and shouted. That was the worst day of my life. I had never lived something so terrible like that before. I put a disco on my stereo "Greese",we had watched the movie together and he promissed to love me forever, but all I had at that moment was a song and a long way to try to forget. I went to the U.S.A but I´ll never forget and he´ll always be the love of my life.
I knew other boys and I had a song with each of them, and I made many coreographies in my career, I always used Michael Jackson, Elton John,Paul McCartney and others songs to dance with my students as a physical education teacher, and when I became an English teacher I started to use their
lovely songs to sing with my students. The students love their songs, so this helps me to connect my dreams with my real life. While I sing with my students, I can remember people and things that made me very happy...!
One day when I was twenty-four, I went to Maksoud Plaza to make a presentation and there I saw a man at the audience. I was dancing "To Sir with love" and he sent me a kiss. I finished my dance and I went to the dressing-room and, what a surprise...he was there...with flowers. We talked
for ten or fifteen minutes and he gave me his card. I called him the day after and one year later we got married. It was love at first sight.
Our wedding was wonderful, lots of music ,and I danced the whole night, till two o´clock in the morning. Four years later Marjorie was born, and our song is "Summer Loving" from the movie "Greese".We both love this song and we sing it and other songs together, sometimes we dance together, and so on. Now Marjorie is ten years old and she is a dancer at Toshie Kobayashi´s ballet, and she loves songs and to dance as I used to love, the same songs from the 70´s and 80´s.
My life is not so pink as it was in the past, but when I´m sad and I don´t Know what to do, I put my CD on the stereo and I dance, as I used to do, and all my dreams come true, and the love of my life come to dance with me and the stars come to help me to fly, and in a few minutes I can feel the sun shining again, I can laught, and I can feel that I´m happy...!
