I was born in Scotland and raised in Australia where I learned the value of hard work and honesty, well as much as it suited us anyway! I started writing from an early age but never really found my voice until I was about thirty two or therabouts when I started writing a Sci Fi Western tentatively titled The Legend of Yohanna. I have always wanted to marry different genres together and have always resisted the temptation to stick to one genre, I hate being typecast. I am currently working on an erotic romance called Random Acts of Kindness, which is a little tame in parts but I wanted to try the traditional romance style as well, just to see how it felt. I am also working on a fantasy novel that is directly inspired by Lord of the Rings although in my novel, as in all my novels the female characters play a much more dominant role. When I'm not writing I'm playing with computers. I recently changed from a Windows based desktop to a Linux desktop because I dislike the idea of a monopoly ruling the world and the Linux system is community based. I set up websites for people, do a bit of reviewing and generally try to help out where I can. I'm currently living in Scotland in the heart of what's called Braveheart country, where William Wallace spent a lot of time killing Englishmen and ripping up the countryside. There's lots of castles nearby, famous battle sites, old homes and wild windswept hillsides covered in heather. I enjoy travelling and hope to do Britain and Europe next year. I've chosen the name Dragon Rider after a novel I read about dragon riders a few years ago. I can't remember the title nor the author but it was a different depiction of dragons. These dragons were servants of men and war platforms, I'm trying to work that perspective into my novel.
