Shelby MacGregor is a private investigator with a new client. Maggie Colter seeks out Shelby in order to hire her to keep her son Jack safe. Jack is �the� bachelor in town and Shelby can�t see Jack as being in danger � the man looks like he can take care of himself. However Maggie knows something so Shelby takes the job, somewhat reluctantly.
Things just don�t seem right and they get even weirder when Maggie introduces her to Jack as Silver Lake, romance author!
Shelby lives a �double life� as Silver and Shelby and she falls in love with Jack, while still trying to protect him without his knowledge. Jack falls for Silver/Shelby also but due to an incident in his past, he detests lies and liars! Shelby knows her relationship with Jack is doomed but for some reason Maggie will not allow her to tell Jack the truth. Unfortunately Jack finds out everything when Shelby helps free Maggie after she�s kidnapped! Sure enough, Jack is very angry and hurt and he ends their relationship�..or does he??
I enjoyed Ms. Random�s book tremendously. All of the characters were well-written and �real� and I felt every one of Shelby�s emotions. Jack was a little harder to read but it was very clear that he was falling�.fast. Maggie and Brad were a great addition to the story also!

Marina, who has never had a steady boyfriend, is on unfamiliar territory when it comes to her relationship with Miguel. She has to take a gamble. With cards she knows the line, not so her heart.
As their relationship deepens, Miguel begins to open to her in ways he�s not done with any other woman. He shares secrets, dark secrets which affect both their lives.
I could not put this book down. Susan�s writing style is racy and fast and I ended up totally immersed in the story. The plot is strong and convincing. The love scenes are both tender and hot. I particularly enjoyed the parallels between gambling and love. The stakes increased for both during the story, making it a real page turner

PARADISE EARTH 2: REVELATIONS begins around seven years after the first book in the Paradise Earth series, Adam and Evan, ends. Adam and Evan are now fathers to many different races of children, known as the brothers. When one of the centaur brothers is killed by a sea creature, it is discovered that danger is lurking in the water. Adam and Even try to contact Cabel and Abe; Abe is nowhere to be found and Cabel is not telling everything he knows. Sharky is a creature of the sea, created by Cabel and Abe. He knows that something is dreadfully wrong as he hasn�t seen his father Abe for weeks, and Cabel does not seem to care about the creatures, saying only that the strongest will survive. When Sharky discovers just what Cabel did to his friend Minnow, he extracts his revenge before leaving the sea creatures forever.
Samantha Winston has created a wonderful futuristic world, where four humanoid men are charged with re-populating the earth with creatures grown from their DNA. She paints a vivid picture so that the reader can picture themselves on the island, within the creature�s surroundings. REVELATIONS has less romance than the previous book as we already know that Adam and Evan are together. However, there is some intense love from some of the secondary characters, and Sharky. I would have preferred a little more focus on these romances, to go with the wonderful action. The focus is more on the war between the land creatures and sea creatures, and the shaky future that all hold. Ms. Winston is expert at showing the reader what the motivations of the characters are, making for some unforgettable males. I recommend PARADISE EARTH: REVELATIONS to all futuristic fans, and am looking forward to the next book in the series
