Grace Austen has been struggling to keep the family farm going. Her fathers death left her that hopeless task and custody of her younger brother. She knows it is just a matter of time until the bank forecloses, taking everything she values. On a trip to town, she comes across an auto accident that has just happened. She and her brother rescue the unconscious driver. They take him home to tend to him. Grace is immediately intrigued with the handsome stranger.

Nathaniel Sampson has just taken over management of his fathers bank and acquired a flashy new car. Waking up in an unfamiliar place, he is instantly smitten with his charming nurse. When the two learn each others names, both become wary. Grace knows Nathaniel has come to serve notice of the foreclosure. She tries to be distant yet polite while he tries to prove to her he is not one of the bad guys but deserves a chance to win her love.

The author deftly weaves in details which allow the reader to glimpse life in the harsh depression era of the 1930s.  This forms the backdrop for Grace and Nathaniels romance. The characters behave in a manner true to their times. Courtship then was more subtle and cautious. Although a sizzling attraction develops quickly, the two are discreet and cautious in acting on it. Grace does not want her neighbors to think ill of her, while Nathaniel was raised to respect a lady and treat her with dignity. He is a strong hero-figure while Grace is admirable in every way. The reader is always rooting for her to find happiness by overcoming the daunting obstacles that have risen in her path.

Thirty Days Late is a wonderful traditional romance where a couple must overcome major problems to find their happily ever after. This inspiring tale, told with style and simplicity, will surely find its way into the readers heart and mind. It is a delight to find both a good romance and a well-grounded historical novel with an early twentieth century setting. Readers can imagine their parents or grandparents living in this era, perhaps even experiencing a similar situation.

Pyros, The God of Fire, is having a difficult time controlling the magma beneath the surface of the Earth in Yellowstone Park.  However he gets help from Allison, the woman he has been in love with for years and together they calm the firethis time!  Allison is a vulcanologist who has some powers that she honed over the years that is stationed in Yellowstone.  Allison knows someone helps her when she tries to control the magma but shes not sure who it is -yet!  Shes about to come face-to-face with The God of Fire.

Pyros goal is to get Allison to admit her love for him and come to him on her own accord. But Allison has to work through a few things before this can happen.  Plus, she has The God, Chaos, wanting her as a mate also, along with the instability occurring in Yellowstone Park to contend with.

Marteeka Karland gives us an interesting and very erotic story that I enjoyed immensely while drawing attention to the possibility of the super-volcano that could exist in Yellowstone Park.  Allison is a great character that takes no crap from anyone, even the man she loves and Pyros is so absolutely alpha, yet so perceptive when it comes to Allisons needs and wants.  She also introduces, along with Chaos, The God of Earth and The Goddess of Air, Im hoping, with the intention of writing their stories!

Morgan is frustrated with herself and at times she feels like two different people. One part of her is like most people wanting the true love, white picket fences, and children. But Morgan has a dark side that no man shes met understands and they cant give her what she desires. But as she sits in her friends kitchen and complains she doesnt realize that shes going to get what she desires, plus oh so much more! But can Morgan handle what she truly desires?

Simon has never met a woman that can keep his interest or endure what he requires of a woman. Like most powerful men he goes after what he wants and will accept no less. When Simone spots Morgan masturbating in the window of the old mansion he decides to test her and finds exactly the woman hes been looking for and for the first time Simon falls in love?

The only word that comes to mind when I try to sum up Whips and Whispers is INCREDIBLE. The author not only has an outstanding plot but the sex scenes are as hot and amazing as Ive ever read before. The writing is so intense that you can almost take the pages and turn them into scenes from a movie in your mind. With that in mind, Whips and Whispers is definitely not for the faint of heart or for a reader looking for a mild erotica story.
