Bonnie Prince Charlie, with Ranald MacGregor, Captain Francis ONeill and Lord George Murray stood arguing over what to do next: retreat to Scotland or march on to London. The Prince was ready to take back what was his. But Lord Murray was against it, when an unknown woman marched in demanding that the march on London. She said the streets of London were empty, King George the usurper had fled the city and the Prince needed to strike while the iron was hot.

Mary Marvellous had come a long way to save the Prince. When no one would listen, she pulled a gun on Lord Murray and demanded that they march on the city. Lord Elcho grabbed for her only to find a gun pointed at him as well, with Ran MacGregor on the other end. With no other option, they march into London. Once there, Prince Charles finds it is all as Mary has said and reclaims his throne.

History has changed, but what will happen now that Prince Charles reigns. Questions and suspicions run amuck. Who is this peculiar woman? Where did she come from? How did she know things? Is she a witch? Rumors and speculations rise. Did Prince Charles win his throne through witchcraft?

Prince Charles makes Mary his ward, so now he must decide what to do with Miss Marvellous? Should be find her a husband or leave her to her own devices?

Ranald MacGregor still couldnt reason why he trusted her, but he did. One thing he knew: She is loyal to the Prince? So who cares if she be a witch?

If you think this is all there is to the story, better thing again. The fun and adventures have only just begun for our Prince and his little witch. This is a wonderful tale of what ifs, with an ending you wont expect. There are many surprises yet to come.

Mary Marvellous is as mysterious as she is insightful. Her character is brimming with life. Bonnie Prince Charlie will charm you, as you see a very erotic side of his nature.

The thought that Jackie Rose put into this story is very evident, as you read some of the very real problems the Prince would have possibly faced if indeed he had retaken his throne. It lends a genuine feel to the story. The reader gets a chance to see an entirely different perspective of history.

The humor is wonderful and the romance interest involving Mary will play a very important part in this story. But it will be up to the reader to discover just who falls in love with whom, in this very delightfully fun and interesting tale of what might have been.

You wont find a dull moment in this story. Jackie Rose is a superb writer and I enjoyed every minute of reading. One young woman had a different believe in how history should have taken its course. But did she have the right to change things if she could? I recommend you read Prince Charlies Witch by Jackie Rose, now at Extasy Books. Decide for yourself how history should have been. Enjoy!

Summary: Brienna Beaumont accepts a friend's invitation to extend her vacation at a Canadian ranch.  Wanting more time to heal her battered psyche, Brie excepts.  Unfortunately, her friend neglected to check with his brother, Jed Cameron.  Jed had problems of his own to deal with, and they didn't include running off a money hungry intent on profiting from his family's business.  Oil and water mix better than Brie and Jed did at first sight.

Brie, tired of passively rolling through life, vows to meet every challenge that Jed throws her way.  Although it started as a means of getting a woman off the homestead, Jed quickly realizes the frail-looking artist is far tougher than she seems when she rides as good as she looks, and shoots even better.

But Jed and Brie have scars, inside and out.  Brie worries that her imperfections make her undesirable.  Jed knows from experience that he'd be better off living a woman like Brie to his brother.  And yet, she tugs at his heart and soul, to the point that he flies to her home in Vancouver, as a gesture of good will to make up for his harsh judgment of Brie, but also to learn more about the life of the artist that so intrigues him.

When he returns to his ranch, they don't get the time they need to sort through their complex feelings.  Danger intrudes on the couple from every direction, including from within their own hearts.  Past hurts are freshly brought to mind.  Even the idyllic Alberta scenery isn't enough to distract them from the heavy matters that press down on them.
Lust, grief and a desire to finally get the truth out in the open clash under a thunderous sky.  Weather and a "mule" of a horse conspire to give them the time alone they need to find out if their hearts can dare to reach for love once more. Finding a middle ground, where they could stand shoulder to shoulder and face whatever life threw at them, doesn't signal the end of their problems.  Life throws a few more challenges in their way, ones that affect Jed's body and Brie's mind.  Choosing to be apart seems easier than trying to build a life together.
Can Jed and Brie birth a bright future from past ruin?  Read "Something About That Lady" to find out!

Review: What I enjoyed most while reading "Something About That Lady" from Wings ePress is the language.  The narrative is rich with detail, and the dialog incorporates a plethora of familiar sayings.  The combination draws the reader in and makes them feel right at home.  Additionally, Carol McPhee handles difficult topics, such as homosexual relationships, spousal abuse and physically disabled with credible sensitivity.  However, not all the unexpected twists and turns are in the story.  The characters ride an emotional roller coaster that doesn't necessarily follow the same track as the plot.  The story's message makes it worth reading.
