Title: Romancing the Banshee Aisling is a banshee and is scheduled to take out the life of Declan Mahoney. When she enters his bedroom she can't believe the sexy man on the bed is to be killed. With no choice but to carry out orders, she lets out a keening that frightens the soul from ones body. Or that's the theory. While Declan remains very much alive, she is curious as to why and more than just a little relieved. Declan, after his initial shock of finding her there agrees to find out why he is supposed to be killed in the first place. As they find out why, Aisling begins to fall in love with him, and he with her. The problem is, their worlds are too different for either to have any hope of being together. This is a story where the humor integrates well into the story. The contrast of seriousness and lightless is very well done. Not a lot of books do it well. Once you add some good sex, especially the scene in the rain, you have a great steamy romance on your hand. |
