Gabe Blackhawk is the leader of his swat team, and a Native American from the Piikani Plains Tribe.  Based in Idaho, his days are spent catching bad guys for the local Police Force, and with his family.  Special Agent Kallesandra (Kally) Voker of the FBI is always impeccably dressed with her hair up.  Everything is done by the book, including looking for an Anti-abortionist bomber.  When the bomber flees to Idaho, Kally follows him and meets up with Gabe.  An instant connection develops between the two that could only get them in trouble while they are working together.  As well as fighting the bomber, they must fight a battle against Kallys family, and ignore their prejudice to stay together.

Rae Monet has written a lovely Romantic Suspense with some great realistic sex that doesnt stop at the bedroom door.  Gabe and Kally bring true meaning to the saying opposites attract.  Kally is a feisty heroine who is capable of rescuing herself, as well as enjoying having Gabe rescue her.  Gabe is willing to sacrifice everything for the beautiful agent, including his life.

My only problem with this story was that the suspense stopped well before the end of the book, letting the romance take centre stage.  Catching the bomber was just the first of many obstacles they had to overcome to be together, they also had to deal with Kallys family and a secret from Gabes past.  Also featured in the story are the couple readers first met in Ms. Monets story Stolen Courage.  For fans of this author, it will be a nice update to where this couple now is.  I recommend this book to all lovers of Rae Monets stories, and I will be eagerly awaiting the next edition in the FBI series.

Trina works hard for an uncaring boss, working with sensitive equipment to scan artifacts from the late twentieth century.  Her co-worker and lover Darci has an interesting artifact to show her, a porn magazine.  It is a perfect specimen for them to smuggle out of the lab, and trade on the black market for more food rations.  Its from a world when everyone was free, before the Earth was mutated by nuclear war.  Now only mongrels live on the surface.  Trina lives below ground where everything is perfect, and rules are aplenty.  She is classed as an L3 citizen and treated badly by most L2 citizens, her life is not pleasant.  They carry ID badges that contain every piece of information known about them.  The Government, known as the Illuminati, is corrupt, and pockets of civilization are known to disobey.  Can Lieutenant Wade Jefferies improve Trinas lot in life?

Jeya Jenson takes a terrifying look at what might happen if Big Brother was given free reign over our lives.  An interesting twist on an old concept, this post-apocalyptic world is far from happy, and it can only take one cry of dissent to send things tumbling.  Wade Jefferies is a bundle of contradictions, making him an interesting and exciting hero.  Trina changes from a vulnerable young woman, to a stronger and independent heroine.  I enjoyed the relationship that developed between the two of them.  The ending contained a brilliant twist that fitted the story well.  Apart from some disappointing head-hopping near the end, this was a very good book.  I shall be looking for more by Jeya Jenson in the future.  There are some f/f sex scenes in the book.
