Wolves live in packs. These packs usually consist of adult parents (alpha pair) and 8 or more of the pairs off spring. The adult wolves share in caring for the young. In some parts of the country the number in the packs can vary considerably.
Wolves feed mostly on large mammals such as deer,elk,mountain sheep etc.
Adult wolves are able to regulate their body temperature to adapt to changes of the weather.
Most wolves are shy and afraid of humans. There has never been a documented case of a human being killed by a wolf in North America.
