Barbara Billingsley
Barbara Billingsley was born Barbara Lillian Combes December 22, 1922 in Los Angeles, California.  After graduating high school, Billingsley attended Los Angeles Community College for one year before going to New York to appear in
Straw Hat on Broadway, but the show closed in less than a week.  After this, Billingsley became a $60 a week fashion model.  Billingsley later appeared in many "forgettable" films occasionally getting a decent role.  Billingsley later found out that television was her calling.  She starred in 2 other tv shows, The Brothers and Professional Father before landing the role of June in Leave It to Beaver.  After Leave It To Beaver ended, Billingsley went into retirement so she could focus on raising her own 2 boys and travel with her husband.  In the 80s, Beaver Cleaver Fever was reborn and Billingsley showed up in films such as Airplane! and Back To The Beach.  A Leave It To Beaver reunion movie Still The Beaver reunited Billingsley with the other LITB cast members.  The movie was so popular, a series was started from it called The New Leave It To Beaver.  Billingsley also appeared in the 1997 Leave It To Beaver movie and guest starred on several sitcoms during the 90s such as Roseanne and Mysterious Ways.

Jerry Mathers
Jerry Mathers was born June 2, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa.  Unlike Tony Dow, Jerry Mathers was already  a "seasoned" actor at the young age of 9 when he became "Beaver."  Mathers had appeared in six films by this time, most notably Alfred Hitchcock's
The Trouble with Harry.  This wasn't what got Mathers the part though according to the producers.  They said it was the fact that he wanted to leave his audition to be at a cub scout meeting was what won him the role.  After being on the show for six years, Mathers stopped acting for a while.  He finished high school and even had a band called Beaver and the Trappers. He also went to college and joined the National Guard.  While he was in the National Guard, a rumor was started that he had been killed in Vietnam.  Fortunately this wasn't true, it was in fact another man with a very similar name.  After his hiatus from acting, Mathers found himself back in the spotlight during a Leave It To Beaver nostalgic craze during the 80s.  He appeard with his cast mates in several guest appearances in movies and in the reunion movie Still The Beaver. Mathers hasn't done much acting since then, only a few small roles, but he is currently working on a new Beaver-like television show with his tv brother Tony Dow, and fellow cast mate Ken Osmond.

Still The Beaver and appeared with them in a couple of movies.  And just to clear up a couple of rumors:  No, Ken Osmond was not a Porno-star, and No, Ken Osmond was never a part of the Osmond brothers singing group.
