Always

			I needed no one
			I walked through life alone
			Never actually living
			Just surviving day to day

			It was a normal day
			Just like any other
But that is far from the truth
The day I learned to live again

			Electricity filled my body
The hair on my neck stood on end
It was just a fleeting glance
But our eyes met, then went on our way

I search for your eyes where ever I went
They haunt my dreams at night
			How was I to know
You were looking for me too

			It was a normal day
			Just life the other
			We met again
			We took the chance

My body filled with electricty, hair stood on end
Just like the day we first met
			And every time after that
My body knew who you were

			We introduced ourselves
			Though it was not needed
			We became friends
			Knowing it ran deeper

			The weeks melted together
All the days filled with you
			No other joy was needed
Being with you gave me pleasure

			It was a wonder day
			Like the others to come
You invited me on a trip
We decided to have dinner too

			After you drove me home
Neither of us wanting the day to end
I could not resist you any longer
I pulled you close for a kiss

			A fire started that night
The one that sparked the day we met
There is no "You" or "I"
			There is only "We"

Was it all a chance meeting
			Was it just an accident
Or was it the Fates leading a hand
			For this meeting of ours

No, it was more than that
Just like the others before us
Love transcended time to unite our souls
Our bodies remembering the ancient promise, Always

			Always echoed through my soul
			Touch where there was nothing
I look at my heart's captured
Then asked "do you love me?"

			There was a smile
The answer sealed our future together
Forever entwining us, as it was meant to be
Then the one I gave my heart to said "Always"

			The story just read
			Of souls uniting
			Bonded together ever united
			Love was their gift

			Never did they look back
			Always was their promise
			Ancient as it was
			That promise stands all true

			Remember this story
			Love was all they needed
			As they walk together
			Until eternity's last breath
