As many of you know, the Lismore story began in the depths of Room 21 at Rutherglen High School, on a warm Autumn's day, during English. In a fleeting conversation one girl mentioned how she'd always dreamed of being a guitarist in a band, and much to everyone's surprise, the three members present, Brooke, Jen and Lucy, found that they all shared this vision. After quickly recruiting Sharon as a drummer in the recess that followed, Lismore was born.
The future for the band, however, was not to be smooth sailing. The very next day the girls were hit with their first blow, that Sharon would be unable to committ as a permanent drummer, due to a calling career in Radiography, and hopes of travelling playing on her mind. As the musical passion still burned inside her, it was arranged that Sharon would become the band touring treble player, but the search for somebody as worthy to pound the Lismore skins would have to begin. |
