| My name is Carol Williams, and I live in Devon, Alberta, Canada, near Edmonton. I share my home with my dogs, and they are all couch potatoes. I have been involved in the Sheltie breed since 1975, and bred my first litter in 1984. Liska averages one or two litters per year. I breed mainly blues and tris, but also have the occasional sable litter. Recently I produced my first biblack! All my dogs and puppies are regularly examined by a veterinarian, and all necessary vaccinations are attended to by my veterinarian during the course of the annual checkup. I show in conformation (the "breed" ring), but in the past was very active in obedience training and competition, and scent hurdle racing. I also dabbled in Agility and Tracking. I returned to the obedience ring after a 10-year absence, and earned a CD on Elliot, who finished his title with a High in Class. Then we added the CDI (Companion Dog Intermediate) title to Elliot's name, a title unique to the Canadian Kennel Club. Most recently Elliot earned his CGN (Canine Good Neighbour) title. My best successes in the ring include a homebred Best in Specialty Show/multiple Group 1 dog; 2 dogs I owned, trained and trialled to multiple High In Trial wins; several other specialty winners; 3 other group placers; two other High in Class winners; and two ROMC's (my foundation female and her granddaughter, whom I bred and own). I have been thrilled to see dogs I bred and sold go on to breed championships, specialty wins, obedience titles, agility titles, and herding titles. See my History page for more complete information. My greatest joys have been the dogs I have owned and loved, and the many friends this hobby has brought me. You will see many dogs on my website, some living with me, some with others. Currently my "home crew/couch potatoes" include: Token (born 1992), Bridie (1993), Elliot (1997), Morgan (2004), Moxi (2005), Betty Boop (2006), Dusty (2006), and Prism (2007). Morgan and Dusty are shared in partnership with Pam Cazes, Kimicko Shelties, and split their time between my home and Pam's. The pet puppies I have sold have introduced me to some wonderful people.
