Celeste Cats of Whazzit
Celeste Cat (by Drizzt)
General Info: Celeste Cats in Whazzit arrived with the Seraphelines and Demonhounds, when they arrived at the Weyr one day looking for a free meal. They found a lifetime of 'em, as they were all Shiny enough to be coveted. A mix between a large housecat and a fox, fully grown they reach a little below the average person's knee. With three fox-like tails, large, tufted ears, and extraordinarily large eyes, they're easily told from normal felines. Their coats are usually a combination of shades of whites, blacks and silvers. Males have a crescent on their forehead, while the females have a five-pointed star, and each is set with a gem of some sort which tells their place in the Celeste Cat hierarchy. CC's mindspeak very simply, in two or three word sentences, save Iridescents which are capable of full sentences. Celeste Cats are also very, very mischievious by nature, and tend to love shiny things almost more than their owners do, if possible.
Mating Info: Queens lead their Lords in a chase, or some other sort of show of worth (popularly including gifts from the suitors), the mate is chosen. Litters are usually around 5-14 kittens, though Iridescents have been known to have up to 20.
Bonding Info: When Celeste Kittens are old enough to bond, their mother will herd them all together and await the hopefuls. When they come, Celeste Kittens will bond to just about anybody but are attracted by meat and are particularly attracted by shiny things of any sort.
Iridescent
The most revered and rare of Celeste Cats, if one is around, the Iridescent is the undisputed queen. Their gem set within a five-pointed star swirls with the shades of all colors, and seems to give off it's own light as well. They're the largest and most intelligent of the cats, and they're the only ones who can speak in complete sentences. Unfortunately Iridescents are horribly rare, and Rubies are usually the only queens around. They mate infrequently but have substantially larger litters than Rubies.

Ruby
Rubies are the smaller and more common variety of queen Celeste Cats, though they are still rare. They're almost identical to Sapphires save the stone in their five-pointed star is a deep crimson. They're only vaguely more intelligent than the rest of the Celeste Cats, and not near as smart as Iridescents. They mate semi-frequently and litter 5-14 kittens.

Sapphire
Sapphires are the largest of the two lord Celeste Cats. They're almost identical, save for the clear blue stone set between the two tips of the crescent on their foreheads.

Emerald
Emeralds are the small Celeste Cat lords, but aren't that much smaller than Sapphires. They have the typical crescent-shaped mark on their head, with a deep green emerald forming the gem that rests between the crescent's two points.

Kunzite
Delicate and serene inside and out, Kunzites are a contrast to the more boldly colored gemstones. The five-pointed star in their forehead is usually a pale pink, although a light lilac is fairly common. They are equally soft in personality, rarely expressing their opinions in fear of offending someone. They can be difficult to befriend, since theyre so introverted but once they do find someone to stick with they will devote their whole life to that one person. They are gentle and patient and make excellent teachers, occasionally watching over anothers litter. Kunzites are only females and are slightly bigger than Diamonds. They chase rarely since they are so attached to their bonded, and never have litters.

Amethyst
Amethysts are one of the two non-queen females. They are a bit smaller than Emeralds, and are about the same size as Diamonds. Their five-pointed star contains a purple jewel of varying light or darkness. They mate very often, but never have litters.

Diamond
Diamonds are the same size as Amethysts, and are the only non-lord males. The gem that rests between the two points of their forehead-branded crescent is clear and pristine white diamond.
