Alunas of Whazzit

All credit to Kimira, their creator.

Alunas are small, Hamster-Gerbil-like critters. They are bigger than Hamsters and Gerbils, around the size of a small Guinea pig (no clue how to spell it), with oversized feathery wings sprouting from their short, round backs. They do not have any special powers, nor do they speak in any language, save the sentence Alunas. We are Alunas. which is engrained into them at birth. They can, however, fly, though very low to the ground (just above the average person’s head), and cannot go –between-. They are not very bright, but do form bonds with a human, which is mostly for their own safety. Wild Alunas are few and very skittish. There are no queens, no lords, merely males and females. And plenty of them, too! Every Female born (females are much more infrequent than males, with there being roughly 2 times as many males as females) can reproduce. All females have from 5-20 kits in each litter, though sometimes more. They breed around three times a year, and live for five to ten years. Humans can bond to many of the little creatures, and usually do, as Alunas love company. They have long tails with a small tuft of fur at the end, always white. Alunas mate with a complex ritual of squeaking and chrring, while the males are jumping about and roiling together in a small pack of fuzz, chasing the female. The males try to push out the other males and impress the female at the same time, and it is considered taboo in Aluna ‘culture’ to fly during a chase. Eventually the female tires and runs into the pack, plowing into the male of her choice. The two together fly off to reappear the next day.

Solid Colors: These hamsters are all over one color, their wings are always silver-shiney, and their coats are dusted, it seems, with stars.

Female Solid Colors: White, Pink, Gold, Bronze, Blue.

Banded Colors: These Aluna's are two-toned. Their heads and someties forepaws are one color, while their hind legs, rump, and tail are another, leaving their Midsection white, or ultra-light silver. Their wings are white, with the occasional colored feather, and their coats are silky and long.

Male Banded Colors: Black/White, Silver/White, Red/White, Green/White, and Brown/White

Female Banded Colors: White/l. Silver, Pink/White, Gold/White, Bronze/White, Blue/White

Pied Colors: These Aluna's are a funny mixtue of colors, all being spotted heavily, and all being two-or-three toned. In addition to the two colors mentioned, these alunas occasionally have a third color: Purple. none have much of it, but, it pops up a few times. Their wings are spotted, speckled with their colors, and are larger than the other's wings. their coats are, as well, long, but are not as silky as the Banded's.

Male Pied Colors: Black/White, Brown/White, Grey/White, Red/White, Green/White.

Female Pied Colors: White/l. silver, Pink/White, Gold/White, Bronze/White, Blue/White.

All female alunas are 2 PSP, while males are only 1.
