Redemption
I stare at the sun through a veil of cloud
Dark spots dim my vision and blur my sight,
And my eyes fill with tears, watered with doubt
For fear no relief will dawn with tonight.

Over the trees in its afternoon blaze,
Apollo bright sails in a sunlit stream.
Or was that chariot a gaseous haze?
Life: The more I learn, the less I dream.

Grey and silver white cleaves a bluer sky,
Pressure bends my soul; work weighs my mind.
My name, Delusionist, lost in dreams of lies,
Existence is a myth of a different kind.

Redeemed by creation, resurrect your muse:
No longer resist a calling you cannot refuse.
