Summary: Stephanie disappears after that disastrous 11 Feb 02 RAW and returns ten months later...and she�s not alone.

Author�s notes: Okay, this idea ultimately came from my father when he basically said to me (regarding the events at the end of 11 February 2002 RAW), �They should put Steph out to pasture for nine months, and bring her back with Hunter�s baby�. Well, that, and my muses just wanted some Hunter-torture. Italicised paragraphs are flashbacks. (They might not show up in the posts, so I�ll let you guys know when it�s a flashback part, or if there�s a flashback part.)

Part Eight �Stephanie! Get your ass down here! Damnit, you bitch, come out here where I can see you and stop hiding behind that piece of garbage Michaels!�
�Steph, you don�t have to do this,� Shane cautioned. �You know all he�ll want to do is hurt you.�
�I can look after myself,� Stephanie said defiantly. �I�ll be fine.�
�I�m coming out with you,� Shawn told her.
She turned towards her fianc� gratefully. �You don�t have to do this, Shawn. He�s after me.�
But Shawn looked at her wryly. �Not just you anymore, baby.�
Stephanie stared at him. �What hap-�
�Stephanie! I said get down here!� Hunter�s voice boomed throughout the arena. �What�s the matter, little girl? Afraid?�
She bristled at his words. �I�ll show him little girl,� she growled, storming past Shawn and her brother.
�Steph-�
�Look after Cassidy,� she commanded Shane.
Stephanie could hear Shawn�s protests as he followed her, but he ignored him. She concentrated all her energy on her confrontation with Hunter.

Stephanie McMahon walks to the top of the ramp, microphone in hand, but does not go further.
Stephanie McMahon I�m here, Hunter.
Triple H You!
Stephanie McMahon Me.
Shawn Michaels walks to the top of the ramp and stands beside Stephanie McMahon.
Shawn Michaels And me. You want to deal with Stephanie, little man? You�ll have to deal with me as well.
Jerry �the King� Lawler Shawn and Stephanie? When did that happen, JR?
Triple H You think I�m afraid of you, Michaels? Far from it! But a little warning from your ex-bestfriend - you want to play with that bitch next to you? You had better be prepared for a lot of cold nights!
Shawn Michaels hurries down the ramp towards the ring and Triple H, but is quickly stopped by Stephanie McMahon as she pulls back on his arm and reasons with him.
Jim Ross Now what kind of man would say such things about his wife?
Jerry �the King� Lawler Ex-wife, JR! Triple H is just telling us the truth!
Triple H Oh, who�d ever thought I�d see the day that the great Shawn Michaels would let himself be so easily dominated by a woman? But wait, I keep forgetting�you two have been having an affair behind my back!
Stephanie McMahon Hunter, we both know the truth about who was having the affair in our marriage, and it was never me. But if you want to live with that particular delusion that you were the one who was wronged, then that�s fine by me.
Triple H You want to talk about who was wronged, Stephanie? How about lying to me about your pregnancy? How about lying to me about a baby that was never mine?
Stephanie McMahon Yes, I did lie about being pregnant, and I�m sorry that I did. But let me refresh your memory a little, okay?
Jerry �the King� Lawler
She admitted it! Stephanie lied to her husband about pregnant! What kind of wife is that?
The TitanTron shows two clips of RAW from February. The first RAW is dated at 04 February 2002, and shows Stephanie McMahon�s pregnancy announcement. The second RAW is dated at 11 February 2002, and shows Triple H talking to Linda McMahon on the phone.

If you don�t remember, we had still lived as husband and wife for a week before�things got ugly.
Jim Ross
King, is she insinuating what I think she�s insinuating?

What the hell are you talking about, Stephanie?

Stephanie McMahon and Shawn Michaels walk to the back. Triple H paces angrily in the ring.
Jerry �the King� Lawler
What is she saying, JR? Is she saying that�?

I�m not too sure what it is that she�s trying to say, but this sure looks like it�s far from ending!

�So, do you think RAW could have been any more emotionally charged?�
�Shawn, I think Torrie might be right.�
�What are you talking about, baby?�
�About Hunter. He�s gone completely-�
�Insane?�
�Don�t joke, Shawn.�
�I�m not joking.�
�He�s bordering on very dangerous, and I know I should stay away, but for some reason I feel safer when I�m with my friends. How am I supposed to be expected to protect Cassie if I�m by myself and Hunter comes after me?�
�Hey, hey, don�t talk like that. Hunter is not going to come after you.�
�That�s a lie, and we both know it. He�s taking it out on all of my friends, even Torrie. God, I hope she�s going to be okay.�
�Hey, Tajiri may seem like a little guy, but he can look after Torrie fine. Not to mention, Torrie can look after herself as well. You know she�s been training hard with Tajiri and Spike lately.�
�I know, I know, it�s just��
�Edge.�
�Did you see what Hunter did to him out there tonight? I feel like killing him!�
�Steph, Edge is a tough guy. He�s going to be fine.�
�Shawn, Edge is in hospital right now. He is not fine.�
�I�m sorry. Speaking from experience, it takes a lot to actually make us wrestlers go to hospital.�
�Edge was unconscious. He had no choice but to go to hospital.�
�You said it yourself before, Edge is Superman. He�ll be back on his feet before you know it.�
�This situation with Hunter is terrifying. I don�t think I�ve ever been this scared before, not even with the Ministry and the Undertaker thing. Shawn�I�m just so scared right now.�
