I'm sitting at home out with an injury. Bored out of my mind of course but who can blame me. As I listen to the radio this song comes on. I've never liked Shania Twain but this song fits my relationship right now. Chris really does have a way. I don't know what it is about him but he just makes me happier. He got me past my grief over losing Jay. I didn't think I was ever going to get over that. I didn't think it possible for me to get over the man I've been with since ninth grade. He showed me that it is possible for me to love someone other than Jay.

I hear the front door open up and I glance up to see him standing there. Chris looks so beautiful this way. He's standing in the doorway and the sun is setting. The colours are playing over his hair and it's all I can do not to jump him. He smiles at me and closes the door. The song still plays in the background and I just want to melt in his arms.

When I had just been dumped by Jay he was the only one who made me smile. Everything he did made me feel better. About the relationship and about myself. He really is the only one who got through to me. Oh everyone I know was all over trying to make me feel better about myself but he was the only one who managed to accomplish that.
