Matt gulped down the rest of his drink and slammed the empty glass down onto the table. Glancing across the room, he felt his heart jump as he saw his brother by the DJ�s table having an animated conversation with Amy. A small frown came to his lips as he watched Jeff chuckle and playfully throw his arm around her shoulders, the sound of her husky laughter drifting over to him and making his heart pound faster.
Those days are gone - now I want you so much

It�d been like this ever since the new story line with Dean Malenko and the Radicalz had started a few weeks ago. When he�d first read over the script outline, he�d thought it was ridiculous - that no one would buy that Matt Hardy �wanted� Lita. He just couldn�t imagine being in love with Amy like that, even if it was only on TV�
It wasn�t like he didn�t care for her or anything though, she was one of the closest friends he�d ever had. She was his pal, his little buddy - he was willing to do anything for her and he knew she would do the same. He just couldn�t ever fathom them being anything more than that - which was why he was having trouble with the story line�
Despite his initial misgivings though, he caved in and agreed to give it a try, reasoning that it might be very entertaining for their fans. And so it began�
They started the angle off slow, only teasing the crowd a little by having Dean hit on Lita and Matt becoming jealous by it. When they saw afterwards how much of a response they�d gotten from it, the creative team started to get things moving a little faster�
Every week things got more heated between the Hardyz and the Radicalz, the �attractions� grew and the feuds were born. Matt started to really get into the angle and the tension between Matt and Lita increased, leaving the fans screaming for more. It wasn�t until the story line was dramatically stepped up though, that Matt began to feel something more�
Smackdown - 2 weeks earlier�
�Oh Dean�you just lay back and close your little eyes, and I�ll take care of you right here - In Rockefeller Center��
Matt had to bite his lip to keep from laughing, the words coming from Amy�s mouth were corny as hell! Beside him, Jeff grinned and covered his mouth, his shoulders shaking from his silent laughter.
�Well baby, there�s just one thing left to do.�
�And what�s that?� Matt tensed and got ready for his cue, quickly going over his lines inside his head.
�Turn off the lights�� The bedroom lights turned off and Matt knew it was time to go. Nudging Jeff, they silently padded into the dark room and took their positions - Jeff at the foot of the bed and Matt right beside it. Moving silently, Matt picked up the prop bottle from the bedside table and waited for the signal.
�You know Dean, I actually like to do it with the lights on�� Matt blinked as the lamp was switched on and he was looking down at Dean and Amy lying on the bed. Amy grinned at him and suddenly, his mind went blank. His eyes were riveted to the sight of her lying there in her barely-there underwear, the air around him suddenly becoming a lot hotter.
Suddenly realizing that it was his line, Matt gave himself a mental shake and slipped into character, shifting his gaze onto Dean.
�Champagne Dean?� He asked with an evil grin. Dean yelped and jumped off the bed and tried to make a run for it, stopped short by the bottle that Matt was holding smashing down onto his head. Dean staggered but didn�t fall, grunting in pain when Jeff leapt towards him with a lamp in his hands, slamming it down onto his back.
Lita shrieked as Dean was grabbed by the boys and tossed into the wall across the room, the bed being flipped onto him. Coming up behind Matt, Lita picked up the glass vase from the bedside table and hurled it into the wall above Dean�s head, laughing when it shattered into a million pieces.
�I told you I�d give you a night you�d never forget Dean!� Throwing her arms around Matt and Jeff, she grinned and nodded towards the destroyed bedroom.
�That was awesome you guys!� Still laughing, the three of them turned and left the room. Matt breathed a sigh of relief as they headed towards the door, happy that the cameras would stop rolling soon and Amy could put some clothes on - he was enjoying the view way more than he had a right to.
Moving through the doorway, Matt had to stifle a gasp as Amy�s bare hip accidentally brushed up against his crotch, a bolt of desire shooting straight through his body. Just great� he thought to himself as he got his body under control. Things had just gotten a whole lot more interesting�
Present Time�
Matt clenched his teeth as the familiar wave of heat that came with that particular memory washed over him, his face flushing a little. Looking over his shoulder, he saw that Amy and Jeff were now slowly swaying on the dance floor, his brother whispering something into her ear.
A surge of jealousy instantly slammed through him, turning his mood even blacker. He knew that it was irrational - that he had nothing to worry about from his brother. Jeff had a steady girlfriend and Matt knew that he was head over heels for her, he and Amy were just sharing a friendly dance. That still didn�t stop him from wishing he were in Jeff�s place right now though�

Cursing under his breath, Matt jumped to his feet and grabbed his jacket, the thoughts running through his head were too much to take right now. Scowling, he stalked out of the club and headed out to the parking lot, leaving Amy and Jeff staring after in puzzlement�
Raw - One week later�
Matt looked over the script one last time before getting into position across from Amy, they had about two minutes before the cameras started rolling. Sparing her a quick look, he was surprised to see that she looked a little nervous. Giving her a small smile of reassurance, he reached out and patted her shoulder.
�You ready?� Amy gave a brief nod and smiled faintly as the director started counting down from ten. Matt exhaled and immediately slipped into character.
�Three�Two�One�Action!� Matt dropped down onto his knees in front of Lita and took her hands in his.
�Lita, you can�t keep doing this - Dean isn�t going to give up!� Lita sighed and leaned forward in her seat.
�It�s okay Matt, I know what I�m doing.� Matt suddenly let go of her hands and stood up stiffly, raking his fingers back through his hair.
�Are you in love with him Lita? Is that why you won�t let this go?� Lita�s mouth dropped open and she looked up at him in shock.
�How can you ask something like that?� Matt whirled around and grabbed a nearby vase, hurling into the wall behind her and bellowing in rage as it shattered into a million pieces. Lita flinched and shrank back from him in her seat. Matt reached down and roughly grabbed her chin in his hand, forcing her to look at him.
�Answer me, dammit! Do - you - love - Dean - Malenko?� Lita calmly got to her feet and stood before him, an expression of sudden understanding and wonderment on her beautiful face. Reaching up with her hand, she gently stroked his cheek.
�You�re jealous.� She said softly. Matt�s eyes flashed at her statement and he brought his own hand up to cover hers where it lay on his cheek. His voice and expression were pained.
�Please�just tell me the truth. Are you in love with him?� Lita smiled softly and looked deeply into his eyes.
�Matt, there is no way that I can be in love with Dean Malenko.� Matt snorted and raised his eyebrow.
�And why is that?� Lita gave him another smile and brought her other hand up, framing his face in her hands.
�Because�� Lita suddenly pulled his face down to hers and brushed her lips briefly over his, pulling back after a second.
�Because I�m already in love with you�� Matt groaned and pulled her into his arms, crushing his mouth down onto hers in a passionate kiss�
Matt gasped into Amy�s mouth as she deepened the kiss, her tongue slipping in between his lips and stroking his. This definitely wasn�t in the script�

The director�s yell of �Cut!� echoed faintly in the back of his mind, but he was too far-gone to respond. Tightening his arms around her, he angled her head backwards and lightly traced the inside of her lips with his tongue, a low growl of appreciation rumbling deep within his chest.
It was a long while before Matt broke the kiss and stepped back from Amy, their breathing heavy and labored. Amy stared up at him in pleasant shock, her fingers coming up to touch her passion - swollen lips. The sudden sound of clapping finally drew their attention away from each other.
Turning their heads, they saw that not only the production crew was standing on the sidelines watching them - half the roster was making kissy faces at them and clapping, a few of them whistling at them.
Amy�s face turned a deep shade of pink as the applause continued, her hands coming up to cover her face in embarrassment. Matt smiled sheepishly and turned back to Amy, taking her hand in his.

�Um�would you have dinner with me tonight?� Amy blushed some more and nodded her head, a huge grin on her face.
