Kay - Era of Darkness part 3
~CHRIS' POV~

I scold myself as I'm unable to stifle the whimper of fear that manages to escape my throat as Kane pulls me
closer to his massive body.

I know that the demon holding me in his iron grip thrives on fear. It's a weakness I cannot afford to show this
demon.

I gasp as he is now holding my wrists together behind my back with only one hand as if taunting me with his
superior strength. With his free hand, he fingers the crucifix that hangs around my neck. He frowns as he
looks at the golden object.

"Did you think that becoming a servant of God could save you from me Chris?" He asks in a soft whisper,
disgust evident in his voice.

I nod. It's pointless to lie. He knows my every thought before I do.

I jump in surprise as he yanks at the crucifix hard breaking the small chain that held it around my neck. He
throws it across the room.

"No more games Christopher," he growls, "you belong to me body and soul."

I whimper as he lifts me into his strong arms and easily tosses me up across his broad shoulders.

I beat at his back with my fists, but the blows don't even phase him.

Once outside of the church, he turns. I don't need to see his face to know that his eyes are glowing, almost
reminding me of a flickering flame. Those eyes have invaded my dreams for as long as I can remember.

I hear the hissing and crackling as the inside of the church becomes consumed by fire.

He chuckles as he slaps my ass hard and strides away.

I raise my head up and gasp as I see that the church is fully engulfed in flames.

There is no hope for me.

~MARCUS' POV~

I can't stifle the soft growl that escapes my throat as I look down at my slumbering mate. His long blonde
hair is fanned out around his head, almost reminding me of a halo.

He stirs in his sleep. Does he sense me?

I smile as I remove my cape. I admire my own broad, muscular chest and large, tattooed arms.

Gently I remove the sheet that covers the young, firm body that I crave with an insatiable hunger.

I once again stifle the hungry growl that threatens to escape my throat as I look down at him. His body is
lean and tan, and he is naked except for a white pair of boxers.

Using my dagger that I keep hidden inside of my left boot, I gently slice away the offensive piece of cloth that
covers my mate's privates, concealing them from me.

I lean down and lap at the silky mushroom head of Adam's beautiful cock. Gently sucking at it, my teeth
gently raking over it.

Adam squirms and moans in his sleep. I grin as my hand gently cups his balls, gently squeezing them
together.

I raise up and watch as his beautiful green eyes slowly flutter open. They blink once as if he didn't see me,
then widening in fear as he realizes that this isn't a dream.

"Marcus," he gasped.

"In the flesh sweetheart," I growl.

~ADAM'S POV~

I stare into the dark green eyes of my demon lover, who has haunted me every night since childhood.

Fuck! I can't believe this is actually happening.

Panicking, I try to scoot away from him, but he growls angrily and grabs a handful of my hair. "There is no
escape," he growls, holding me in place.

I whimper as I look at him. Impressive. Impressive and terrifying.

I reach up and gently caress his chest with my fingers. His skin is so cool and pale. I look up into his eyes and
notice the dark circles that surround them. As I look into his eyes all I can see is darkness. My mom use to
say that eyes are the windows to the soul. If that is true, Marcus is the personification of death.

I can't control the shiver that runs down along my spine as he chuckles and presses his body against mine.
My body yields. I fear him, yet all I can think about is how much I want him to possess me, claim me as his.

"Surrender to me," he whispers.

"Yes," I whisper, my arms wrapping around his waist as I pull him closer to me, spreading my legs in
invitation.

"Of thee I shall drink and claim you as my mate. You will be forever bonded to me," he whispered.

I watch as his eyes roll back, only the whites of them show, but I know that he is far from being blind. A faint
red glow flickers it them. The fires of hell burn deep within his soul. I watch as a pair on long, razor-sharp
fangs descend. I can't move. I'm entranced by him.

We both jump as a bright light fills the entire night sky.

Marcus growls as he sniffs the air. "Angels," he growls in disgust.

I stare at the sky and I can almost swear I see two angels fly from the light. "Angels?" I ask softly.

"So he wants to fight? Very interesting," Marcus growls.

I tense as our eyes lock once more. My trance is broken. I scream at the top of my lungs as I try to push him
off of me.

He chuckles as he holds my hands above my head. "Nothing will stop me from tasting and claiming you this
night," he growled.

I tremble as he licks at the soft vulnerable skin on my neck. It tingles where he licks. I feel his hot breath on
my neck as he prepares to bite me.

"Adam?" A soft feminine voice whispers from the doorway.

Marcus growls possessively.

"Stacey run!" I scream. Stacey wasn't the brightest blonde in the world, but she was my friend and neighbor.

Marcus is too quick. He's off of me in flash, catching her before she could turn to run.

He drags her so that I can watch. Her eyes are wide in fear as she struggles helplessly in his arms. I watch in
horror as Marcus latches onto her throat, sucking ferociously at her long slender neck.

I jump as he tosses her lifeless body against the opposite wall as he licks his blood-soaked fangs.

"You're a vampire?" I ask, my own voice trembling.

"I am many things my love, but I savor the taste of blood."

A whimper escapes my throat and he chuckles.

"Why don't we take our bonding somewhere more private?" Marcus growls as he scoops me up into his
strong arms.

I was shocked as he wrapped his cape around my shivering body. The small act of kindness somehow seemed
unusual for him.

The glass doors to my balcony shattered outward as we approached them. He merely smiled as he stepped
out into the darkness. I screamed as he jumped, clinging to him.

~HUNTER'S POV~

We stand in the middle of a small town. All is quiet, but I know it's a ruse. The demons are nearby and they
have taken their prospective mates back to their lair for their bonding of souls. Nothing can be done to save
the unfortunate mates. Finding the chosen one is our first priority.

God didn't give us much to go on. This is suppose to be a battle of good versus evil, but we're all pawns in this
game. Whether good or evil, it doesn't matter. It is a game started by our leaders centuries ago. It is one that
we must finish.

I break open the scroll.

Our eyes grow wide as we read what it has to say.

"NO WAY!" Rock says angrily. "It doesn't give a clue where to find him."

I read the passage again and nod in agreement.

"What's this about a warrior female that protects him from all others?" Rock asks.

"Warrior female," I thought. It was a clue.

"What are you two doing?" A deep female voice asked.
