Kay The Collector - Conclusion (*slash*) Thanks for all your encouragement on this story! I must say that I'm glad it's finally finished. *hugs my abused muses* ****************************************************************** ~JEFF'S POV~ I smell his fear. It's emanating from every pore on his body. It's so intoxicating. Watching the tall blonde struggling frantically for his pathetic life had made me hard as a rock. But the games were over now, and it was time to be serious. Adam had to die and tonight. Although, I do regret not having more time to spend with my dear sweet Adam. He whimpers as I grip a handful of his long, blonde hair forcing his head backwards exposing that beautiful throat of his. "It's time," I whisper to him. He closes his eyes in acceptance. I frown as I notice the temperature in the room drops rapidly. I look around the room in confusion. A bright light catches my attention and I turn towards it's source. My eyes widen as I see Matt. "Don't do it," he whispers to me. His face is full of so much emotion and pain. "Jeff, this has to stop." "NO! He's a slut. He deserves to die!" I scream in my defense. I jump as the door slams open and a huge man enters. He glares at me and I clutch the whimpering Adam closer, making sure the big guy sees the glistening sharpness of the knife. "Mark!" Adam gasps as he reaches his hand out towards him. So close, but yet so far. I jerk him backwards. "Boy, if you know what is good for you, you'll let him go," the huge man named Mark growls. I grip the knife tighter as I look at Mark. He has lovely auburn hair and would make a lovely addition to my collection. "Don't even think about it," I hiss as I notice him take a step forward. "I'll slit his throat," I warn. "Let him go," Mark growls. I press the blade against Adam's throat, feeling it slice through the first delicate layer of soft tissue. I feel the trickle of the blood across my fingers. Mark's eyes widen in fear for his ex-lover. "NO!" He growls. I smile a predatory grin. This was too easy. ~ADAM'S POV~ No, I can't let Jeff control this situation. Mark and I will be both be dead. I have to do something, but what? "Kill me you little freak," I hiss. "Shut up," Jeff hisses, "I call the shots around here." "You're just a sick freak that needs to be locked up," I hiss. "Hell, you don't even fuck that good." "Bitch!" Jeff hisses as he presses the knife deeper into my throat. "NO! Kill me first," Mark screams. "You don't want a mere boy. Why don't you try your luck at a real man." I feel Jeff release his grip on me. I gasp, clutching at my throat. It stings where he cut me. I look over at Mark, and for the first time I see fear written all over his face. He's terrified that he will lose me. I was blind not to see how much he cared for me. ~HUNTER'S POV~ I chose to enter through the back after seeing the busted door on the front. I was guessing by the bike in front and the condition of the front door that Mark was in the house. The house was silent. Too silent. I slowly make my way through it until I hear voices. As I enter the long, narrow hallway, I hear them clearly. Taking a deep breath and silently sending a prayer up to whomever might listen, I storm the room. "Don't move!" I yell. Mark just looks at me, but Jeff and Adam jump. Jeff lifts his arm for a brief second, allowing me to take aim and fire. My aim is true and I wing him in the shoulder, knocking him backwards, away from Adam. In the process he drops the knife and Adam kicks it away frantically. Mark is across the room in two strides. He scoops up the completely naked and trembling Adam, and proceeds to carry him from the house. "Ohhh Mark," Adam whispers, as he starts to sob. "I've got you babe," he whispers affectionately to his lover. Adam merely smiles as he snuggles close against the big man. "NO!" Jeff screams. I turn and watch helpless as he raises up with a gun in his hand. A shot rings out in the room and Jeff slumps forward. Behind him stands Steve. "Did you miss me?" He asks with that stupid hick smile of his. Stupid jackass. Yes, he saved the day. No, he will never let me forget it. Actually, I want to pull the bald headed hick in my arms and thank him properly, but then again that would be too easy. I like to be pursued. Maybe dinner and a movie might do the trick. "Thank you," I finally say, gritting my teeth. Steve smiles at me. "You're welcome." He reaches out and touches my arm. I'm amazed at how soft and gentle his touch is. "Are you alright?" I nod as I walk out to where Mark has laid Adam on the grass. Adam is still sobbing uncontrollably and clinging desperately to Mark. Somehow, I don't think Adam will be straying from Mark's side this time. I'm shocked as the paramedics scream that Jeff's alive. Damn, the kid took a point blank shot in the back and chest. *~*~*~ONE MONTH LATER~*~*~* ~HUNTER'S POV~ It's been a month now since the media first reported that the serial killer known as the Collector had been apprehended. It was amazing that he had already had his day in court. I still can't believe that they didn't give him the electric chair or lethal injection. If anyone deserved it, it was him. He confessed to everything. I was right about Matt, it had been an accident. Seems Jeff wanted his brother all to himself, when he refused to give up his boyfriend, Jeff killed him in a violent rage. Billy Kidman had known about their relationship and Jeff killed him to keep him silent. The others had been for fun. Fun. What a sick world we live in. The jury however saw a small, confused, frightened young man, who kept talking constantly to his long dead brother. They believed that life in prison and solitary confinement was enough. I wouldn't have thought that until I went to visit Jeff. The boy had lost so much weight and his eyes were dark and lifeless from lack of sleep. Something told me that his victims were doing a little tormenting of their own. Adam was admitted to the hospital for several days to work on his leg and calm him down. During it all, Mark never left his side. Adam quit working at the ER. He said he could no longer stand the smell of blood. The last time I saw him, he married to Mark and starting to walk quite well on his injured leg. Jason is on his way to recovery, also. I heard he is engaged to be married. Seems he met Officer Bradshaw, who happens to be one of my cops, that night in the cemetery. They do say that opposites attract. As for Steve and I, we hooked up. Seems Steve doesn't know the fucking meaning of the word "no". For once, I'm glad he didn't listen to me. He's my life partner and I wouldn't have it any other way. ~JEFF'S POV~ "NO! Leave me alone!" I scream at Matt as I huddle against the wall of my white, padded prison. Why won't they believe me? Make him go away! Matt smiles sweetly at me. "I'll never leave you, baby brother. Never. Remember our pact? Until death do we part." ~THE END~ |
