Untitled 10
I watch as he opens the door eagerly, knowing that it is her. I watch as she smiles up at him, easily falling into his arms. It has been nearly three months since they had last been able to see each other in private without casting any suspicion. Three long months.

I watch him with her, and its like watching a stranger. Not someone Ive known all my life, but someone who Ive never even met. When hes with her, hes a completely different person. Hes a much happier person.

Watching them together, its the strangest thing. The least expected. I would never have thought the two of them would ever be compatible, but theyretheyre

Theyre perfect together.

At her most vulnerable, he had been the one who had been there for her. He had stood by her, comforting her, freely offering himself to her. I had told him that it wasnt right, that there was no way it could ever work out between them. That she was the last person he should ever get involved with.

Were just friends, he used to laugh at me, though with a hint of longing in his voice.

And they had been. At first, they had been just friends. And then bestfriends. Finally, lovers. The night that she had uttered the three little words he had been longing to hear ever since they first met, he had been the happiest I had ever seen him.

She loves me, he had whispered, almost in awe. Me.

However, her admitting her feelings for him had only made me even more concerned than before, when they had just been friends. I had known her for a couple of years already, but I hadnt yet trusted her completely. Not when her actions on screen seemed second nature to her. I was worried what their relationship could do to his career, what she would do to him.

But I was gladly proven wrong. Not only has she been protecting him and in extension, me but her words had not been a lie. She truly did love him.

I watch her with him, and its like watching a stranger. When shes with him, shes a completely different person to the one everyone sees on TV. Shes definitely a lot more charming, almost enchanting.

She finally pulls away from him, and looks over at me with a smile. Hi, Christian.

I smile back. Hey, Steph.

I look at my brother, but he has yet to take his eyes off her.
