| LISA VULTAGGIO GH's Hannah Scott |

| -CHARACTER: THE MYSTERIOUS woman Sonny rescued on the docks. Hannah bears a striking resemblance to both his late lover, Brenda Barrett, and his late wife, Lily Corinthos. -BIRTHDAY: Jan. 20 in Vancouver, British Columbia -SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE: "I was inspired to act by the (1968) movie Romeo and Juliet, which Franco Zeffirelli directed. I got books on Shakespeare, and listened to the soundtrack album my father had. When I was in the third grade, I memorized the whole balcony scene. At the time I was falling behind in school and my dad told my teacher, 'My daughter is very intelligent. Do you know she can recite Romeo and Juliet in perfect Shakespearean English?' To prove that, I had to reciteit. I got a lot of respect after that." -ANOTHER "V" FOR GH: "People have always loved my last name. In Canada I never [experienced any typecasting] because of [my Italian surname]. I worked on lots of American productions there and always played different characters. I was known as Lisa the actress. Period. That's it. When I first came to Los Angeles, [my name] was an obstacle. They wanted to stereotype me, but I refused to give in to that. So I'm loving that I'm Hannah Scott on General Hospital." -FAMILY BUSINESS: "My Family owned two fine-dining Italian restaurants in Vancouver when I was growing up. I worked there as a kid. I bused tables. I was a hostess. I did whatever they needed. Italians are very much into quality, especially when it comes to food. So cooking, for me, is second nature." -FROST BITTEN: "When I was 18, I did a play called An Early Frost in Vancouver. An agent spotted me and wanted to sign me immediately. As soon as I graduated from high school, I began auditioning. Within a few months I guest starred in Street Justice, with Carl Weathers. From there [my career] blossomed. I was very fortunate to be able to work so much in Vancouver. I did The X-Files, Millenium, The Commish...a lot of great American shows. Working on The X-Files was an honor. The show is a phenomenon, although it was actually my most traumatic work experience. My scenes were kind of on the violent side. My character was tortured by this guy who disguised himself as a policeman." -LAWN MOWER WOMAN: "One of the craziest jobs I ever had was getting hired to appear in this video game. They needed characters for it. I played this wild character holding a machine gun. I had to stand on a stage with lighting and cameras on me and do all these different movements. Warrior movements. The weirdest part was that they made my face all mangled up, like a lawn mower had run over half of it." -MAGIC WITH MAURICE: "I liked Maurice Benard (Sonny) as soon as we met. I thought he was a gentleman and very professional. He worked very hard with me before we actually taped the screen test, which was really cool. He was very supportive; I could feel that. We connected right away. We knew we clicked, and that we were going to create some magic together." -WINE AND COOKIES: "When I found out I got the part of Hannah, it was very exciting. I celebrated with my two best friends and my manager. Then I went over to another friend's house, and we made chocolate-chip cookies, drank wine, lit a fire, played some music...I called my family in Canada a few times, too. My dad was very emotional, which was quite a surprise. Everyone was excited. My grandfather had passed away a couple of weeks before and I wasn't able to get to see him. It was really [uplifting] for my family that I got this job." -Janet Di Lauro |
