Jeff and I bought
new cell phones yesterday.  His phone was broken (tape was holding it together) and my phone was out of contract.  My cell phone that I have been using since 1997 was in my mom's name.  Jeff and I did good with our purchase.  The phone should have been $200, but because we work for Gamestop, we got them for $50 with no activation fee.  AT&T's computers were down during the day, so we killed time and went and looked at new homes again.  We weren't looking seriously, but to get an idea of other builders in our area.

We went to
Legacy Homes in Frisco...the lady didn't give us the time or day.  She shouldn't judge anyone, never know who does or does not have money!  We wont' buy their homes.
We went to
Mercedes Homes in Frisco...nice homes, too expensive due to Frisco.  The sales lady was very informative and very nice to Jeff and myself.  Mercedes Homes are decent prices in some areas.
From there, we went back to
Horizon Homes near Denton to check on specials.  The lady at Mercedes said that home builders offer more specials during Christmas.  Horizon still had great prices and the same specials.
On the way back to our house, (we were in need of a bathroom break!), we stopped by
Woodhaven Homes.  We visited one of their homes already built and while looking, I looked up at the ceiling, and noticed a crack!!  Jeff and I know we do not want them either now!

I personnally still really like Horizon Homes near Denton.  I really don't know which area, I'll have when I become a district manager.  Jeff and I want to wait until credit cards are paid and/or I have my district manager position.  Nothing is wrong with the house we are in now, the homes are just more for the future.  When I get my Christmas decorations up inside and outside, I will update you on how the house looks.  It really does look good.  New linolium, carpet, fresh paint, and new living room furniture can do that!  And the best thing about it all, NONE OF IT WAS CHARGED!!  =)

Walking Texas Page will be updated Tuesday, November 25, 2003.

Walking Texas page has been updated.  Well, tomorrow will be a week until Thanksgiving.  It is going by so fast.  From Thanksgiving, it's only 4 weeks away from Christmas!

My boss called me yesterday and starting singing, "Another one bites the dust..." I started laughing, and asked what was going on.  She started laughing a bit, and said another manager put his notice in.  We don't mind this, b/c we have been weeding out the bad crapping managers.  We get rid of bad managers, get good managers in the stores... wa-lah!  Rankings go up!!  It's amazing!  =)

I finish the one class I am in soon, and then I start up with Biology in mid-December.  It's an online type of class that uses different methods for the class.  Hopefully it will work well with my schedule.

My cousin, Jennifer, is due with her baby very soon!  We'll have to get a few pictures and have on the webpage!

Well, hope everybody has a great day!!

Walking Texas page has been updated.  Sorry for the delay this past week.  Busy Busy.
November 2, 2003
Well, the first month is completed of Walking Texas.  The four of us did well.  Nancy ended with 15.5 miles, Lisa at 12 miles, Laurie at 18 miles, and Mema at 13.4 miles.  I will continue adding what was done in October with our November miles and so forth.

Work was quite hectic last week.  We have a store manager being terminated soon, and one put his notice in.  My assistant manager, Jose, will take over one of them.  My Manager in Training, Andy,  will take over the other one.  With the change of store managers, it should help our district performance over the long run.  I have another Manager in Training coming to my store to help coverage and to train him.

My mom is supposed to come visit me on Thursday if all goes like planned.  I have to start my Christmas shopping.  We are currently 3 1/2 weeks away from Thanksgiving currently.  The week of Thanksgiving, I begin working 6 day work weeks due to Christmas.  The weeks normally go by very fast.  Last years seemed to fly by because we didn't have any new system launches come out.  My store normally stays pretty busy, which is what I like.

Hope everybody has a great week!
