January 29, 2004 I GOT THE PROMOTION TO AREA MANAGER!!!! It officially starts on Sunday with the fiscal new year, but the offer was last night. I have four stores on the northern side of Arlington currently. Hector said he would continue to add stores as we go along and would probably continue going north. He said he starts Area Manager's with 4 stores and keeps adding a little at a time, vs having 4 and then promoted to District and getting 14. Baby steps! I'm up for bonuses and we are talking GOOD bonuses! Sometime this year, they should do the distribution of stock shares, and I should get more b/c I am coded as an area now. I'll get my laptop soon and a cell phone. Part of my gas will be paid right now. As a district manager, I'll get a company car and my gas is completly paid for!

January 18, 2004 We have walked 63.5 miles including Jeff. We currently need 9.8 miles per week with only counting the four of us. I have added a new graph to our page. It has a percentage walked, and what percentage is left to walk. We have 6% so far of our 1000 miles! We are getting there! Not much else going on here. Worked on my online biology class most of the day. I did 2 labs and they are now complete. I'm still about a week behind according to the schedule. It's online/self-paced. But it all has to be done by April! Then my other class starts up! Hey but on a positive note, I only have 3 classes left counting Biology and I'll have an Associates Degree! Woo hoo! =)

January 11, 2004 Our Walking Texas page is updated. With only the four of us walking currently, we need 9.7 miles from each person to make it to 1000 by July 4th. I think it is still acheivable, and we can always try. We can't say we CAN'T do it or it's NOT doable, because we CAN DO IT if we try. WE CAN DO IT!

January 8, 2004 My walking is doing good so far. I have walked 4 miles. *Tito has walked 3 miles* I'm still working on getting my pedometer to work correctly. I had it set to low for the inches of each step. I'll check tomorrow morning and see if it measures correctly. The roast was good, but Jeff and I didn't like the sauce. Went through all that trouble trying to find the indgedients. Go figure. Well, I best get ready for work.

January 7, 2004 Christmas is over and everything is starting to wind down. I'm prepping for inventory at my store. Inventory is Jan. 11. It should go pretty good. Jeff's schedule is back to normal now. He works 10a-7pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Then on Saturday he works 9a-6pm. No more midnight shifts for a while! I've been in a cooking mood all week being he's home! Someone to cook for! =) Tonight I'm trying a new recipe for a roast. I had to call my Mom to figure out where the items were at Wal-Mart! Walking Texas is up and going! Our goal is to hit 1000 miles between the five of us by July 4, 2004. Once this week is finished, it will have data on the graph!
