I updated the walking Texas page. Sorry it has been two weeks since I did it. We have dm meetings starting tomorrow so my schedule has been quite hectic. I'm reading to get my walking back up. I haven't really walked any except for normal day to day walking. I haven't actually walked for 30 minutes around the block like I did in January.
I should get some decent pictures from the conference though.
I have to pack still. I needed to finish washing my clothes. They are currently in the dryer. Shouldn't be too hard to pack due to work. Lots of different business suits. All similar, not like vacation. =) Well, love ya all and I'll update ya more later.
I finished most of the projects that were due this week. We had a district meeting this past Thursday, so I finished prepping for that. Another big project was creating a document for the Retail Ops Manual that explains "Cashwrap Organization". The document inlcuded pictures and explanations of what was needed where. Next Friday, we will meet a group of people who were doing other "Reducing Complexitites" projects. I have another small project that I'm working with describing "Minimum Visit Expectations" from the DM. I have to go over a form and give examples and how it ties into our "NON-Negotiable" items. (Certain things that all stores are supposed to have in certain areas, etc.)
I have the excel document ready for updating on the webpage, but I'm missing Laurie's miles from last week. I'm sure she walked a bunch! It should start getting warmer and that will help my walking a bit. I don't like walking in snow! =)
Roland had his first soccer game yesterday for the season. His team lost 3-1. The game is a little more serious now than when he was in Kindergarden. They have 4 quarters now and positions. I like the new team they are on though. The coach didn't spend the entire time YELLING at the kids. I still say they are young and have to have fun with it.

I had an extremly busy first week last week. I did so much, but it was good. This week will probably seem like a breeze...we'll see though. We had two store relays (where lots of people come and come help change it to a new standard). To go along with this, they used both stores to shoot a live video to make a video for the entire company to show what a store should look like. 1 store was my new base store where my office is located. The other store was my old store in Euless, TX. We had a DM Meeting on Thursday, and I did Management interviews on Friday. This week's goal is to get all my new stores audited so I can see their strengths and weaknesses. So with all this said, last week I didn't get much walking in. It has been cold too, so I haven't really wanted to walk outside...ready for warmer weather and not so dark when I get home at 7pm. That will help me.
At the end of the month, I go to my first DM Conference. My meetings start on Tuesday, February 24 because I am a new Area Manager. New AM and DM go in early on Tuesday. All other AM/DM meet on Thursday. The Conference will last until the following Sunday. My first two days are training days and the following days are meetings, etc.
