Amber was an only child born in Limerick, Ireland to a Kinfolk mother and a Fianna Elder father. Her parents owned a pub & inn called the Blue Moon, which was built on top of the local caern, and her family lived in the back of the Blue Moon. Her mother was the caretaker of the inn, and her father was the caretaker of the pub, and when Amber was old enough (oh, about 10 years old!), she was trained to be a bar maid. Her father was a respected Galliard, and once Amber showed her potential in the musical arts-- as well as proving she had an excellent memory-- he began training her to be a bard. Amber would practice her musical skills for the patrons of the pub, and this attracted many "boyfriends" who would frequent the bar to enjoy her on the stage, and-- for the lucky ones-- in the bedroom, as well!
Amber's mother taught her the art of healing (and the many medicinal uses for alcohol!), and after the country was torn by World War II, Amber was also trained to be an army nurse. The Fianna of the Blue Moon were dilligent in sending their young men and women to help the war-effort on the mainland, so when Amber's dad asked her to join the next group being sent out, she readily agreed.
Amber was selected to join a special unit of Garou who would be air-dropped into France to spy on a mysterious Nazi compound. Their pilot of the plane was an American from Tennessee named Jack, and Amber liked his brash style and affinity for drinking very much...but Jack had his eye set on the lovely Black Fury Marie-Claire. Marie definitely didn't appreciate Jack's advances, but that didn't stop Jack from making them! Amber also got along with the sweet and curious Sanki of the Silent Striders and the respectful and spiritual Red Skygazer of the Uktena, but was initially suspicious of the secretive and haughty Elsibeta. The group was visited by Stag who made them into his Silver Pack.

After being dropped in France moments before Jack's plane was shot down, the pack met up with their German contact Totenmachen, a Lupus of the Red Talons. Totenmachen very rarely changed into Homid form, and had unfortunately developed a taste for human flesh which Marie quickly lashed out at him for when he murdered a family of her countrymen. He attempted to reign in his impulses after that, but would occasionally slip! Totenmachen introduced them to the local caern lead by an Uktena named Two Feathers, and the group settled into a cabin in the woods from where they'd do their surveillance.

The pack soon discovered that Garou bodies were being secreted into the Nazi compound...as well as an unconscious Jack! It turned out that Jack was an Immortal! After ambushing, kidnapping, torturing, and killing some of the people going in and out of the compound and finding out about secret machines being built inside, the pack had no choice but to infiltrate the base to see what was going on, and to rescue Jack. Sneaking into the compound they grabbed Jack, but there were no Garou bodies to be found, so they kidnapped a doctor to interrogate. They also discovered that the machines were gone, as well as most of the miliary personnel. They killed every Nazi they found...until a pack of Get of Fenris returned to the compound. The Get were waaay too powerful for the Silver Pack to face as they were, so the Silver Pack fled carrying an unconscious Jack and doctor. The Get gained on the Silver Pack quickly until it looked like there was no hope to get away...when suddenly the Get started being flung backwards into the air! A handsome young man with a cane wearing a Nazi officer's uniform limped up to them quickly and told them they had to get away immediately. One of the Garou picked up the officer to carry him, and the pack loped off to the cabin.

The officer introduced himself as Amon, and revealed that he was a VERY old Egyptian Mummy working covertly for the Allies. Amon became the group's mentor and protector, and although Elsibeta claimed not to like him, the rest of the group took to him quickly, despite his cynical and sarcastic manner. When Amon told the group that he would never love again in any sense of the word, Amber made it her goal to try to trick Amon into bed...until it was made absolutely clear that her attempts were futile. Amber didn't mind-- it was all meant in good fun...well...mostly! She just could not understand how one woman could mean so much to a man that he'd refuse himself physical pleasure after he lost her.
The Silver Pack returned to the caern of Two Feathers, and from there the Allies were given the go-ahead to bomb the Nazi compound into dust. The doctor was interrogated, and from this the Garou learned that the Nazis had been experimenting on dead Garou, and had almost finished a serum that would turn a human into a Garou that the Nazis could then control. The Nazis had also invented a time-machine-- this was the machine that had been hastily taken from the compound-- and the location of one of the machines was revealed.
That night the Garou had a Great Moot where Amber and Sanki put their Galliard-skills to the test and relayed the Silver Pack's accomplishments to the caern, bringing them great renown. After the moot, the Silver Pack was visited by Turtle, himself, who claimed them as his Pack and revealed that the caern was going to be completely wiped out the next day by the Get and their cohorts. He told the pack that they had to leave before the attack-- to remain alive in order to keep Turtle alive by fixing a great rift in time using the Nazi time machines. When the pack came back to their senses, they warned Two Feathers and the caern about the impending doom, but the caern refused to leave. Two Feathers told the pack to obey Turtle and go, and although the pack listened to his words and left, it was the hardest thing they ever had to do, and they regretted that decision every day. Sanki had especially taken a liking to Two Feathers, and the other female Garou had picked up on it and teased her about it continuously!
The pack found the fortress where the time machine was being held, and enlisted the help of a local were-bear in breaking into the fortress. They were successful, and luckily the fortress was not well protected or fortified, so the pack took it over easily. They found the time machine in the basement, along with two scientists who knew how to work it. One was grateful to see the Allies and agreed to help them, but the other tried to notify the Nazis of the invasion and had to be killed. The cooperative scientist showed them a list of names and dates, and Amon told them that the Nazis were going to send assassins through time to kill or replace the people on the list.
As the group scanned the list, they discovered Amon's name, Amon's father Atepa's name, and the name of one of Jack's friends from his mortal years. They decided to go back to save Jack's friend first, but once they got there, they realized that they actually had to protect the man named Usher who was meant to murder Jack's friend, the Kid, and allow the Kid, Jack, and Jack's father to be killed, as well! This horrible situation caused Marie such distress that she got very drunk and decided to grant Jack his wish and sleep with him the night before his death. This decision proved to have long-lasting repercussions-- Marie got pregnant with twins during the encounter!
After the pack returned to the present where Amon and the Immortal Jack were waiting, Jack was suddenly filled with memories of the night he and Marie had spent together, and Marie told him something he never thought he'd hear: he was going to be a father! The news stunned Jack to the point where he had to take some time to be alone, and Marie took this the wrong way and almost went into a rage! But after Jack returned and told Marie that he was excited to be a father, the two quickly became a couple!
The pack worked their way down the list of Nazi-targets. They had to protect a Salubri Vampire named Faith who was living back in the time of the Croatan. She was the one who had given the tribe the "faith" to sacrifice themselves in order to stop the Eater of Souls. The pack was, again, distraught that they would have to ensure that many good people would die, so they tried to think of ways to save even one Croatan. Totenmachen-- in a great show of self-sacrifice-- even volunteered to take the place of one of the Croatan so the pack could bring one back with them...until they realized that the cards that brought them back to the present-day would only work on people from the present. Then someone came up with the idea that if one of the females in the pack were to get pregnant by a Croatan male, the Croatan line wouldn't die out.
Sanki liked that idea, and although Amber wasn't too keen on getting pregnant, she had been hiding the fact that her father had ordered the females of the Blue Moon caern to try to get pregnant to bring more needed Garou-blood into the caern to bolster their war-depleted numbers, and so Amber reluctantly agreed to try to get pregnant by a Croatan male. But she wouldn't go quietly! She demanded the Croatan to have a competition of brawn and brains that all eligible males would participate in, and then the two males who won the combined competitions would be those who she and Sanki mated with. If they were going to save the race, they wanted to make sure they were creating babies with the best possible Croatan DNA!
The contest was held, the 2 men were chosen, and Amber and Sanki tried all night to get pregnant-- such a sacrifice! When the morning came, they discovered that only Sanki had gotten pregnant. Amber sighed with relief. She'd obeyed her father, tried to help the Croatan and her pack, and still got what she wanted in the end: an empty womb! Marie and Sanki decided to stay in the past to have their babies, and then return to the present. That way it would seem like they hadn't been gone at all, and they would have safe pregnancies. Their plan went smoothly, and the women left their babies-- along with a learning-crystal from the Croatan-- to be raised by a caern of Uktena who would teach the children the ways of the Croatan.
The pack worked their way down the list of names again. They protected Amon's father Atepa, and got to meet a very young Amon. The present-day Amon revealed to the pack that he had once been married to a priestess of Isis named Issa, that they'd had a son, and that Issa had been pregnant at the time of her murder. He also told them that he and Issa had been will-workers-- called Mages in modern times. He warned the group that history had to happen the way it already had. They had to let Issa be murdered or else Amon would never become a Mummy, and wouldn't be around to fight a malfaen Wraith named Claudius Markova in the past...or in the future. The pack had been plotting to save Issa, so they were utterly discouraged at Amon's words, but promised to do what he said.

The pack went back in time, and soon set themselves up at Amon's house with his family after proving that they were the same friends who had protected his father when he was a child. It was incredibly depressing to watch Amon's happy family-- Issa, and little 5-year old Nefertu-- knowing it was about to be torn apart, but watch they did.

That night was the Festival of Isis where Issa would be singing. The pack was nervous that this would be the night that Issa was killed, so they found it impossible to enjoy themselves. Amber and Marie drank a lot, as usual, to numb the pain, and even Sanki joined in the drinking. They had learned earlier that the mortal Markova and his Roman troops were passing through Egypt and were guests of honor at the festival, so the pack was watching them closely. Issa and the other priestesses came out to begin the festival, and Issa sang with beauty and magic as the drums beat hypnotically. Amber was closest to Markova, and she saw his eyes fix on Issa with desire. After the song ended and the priestesses filed off, Markova stood up quickly and started to make his way to Issa. Amber-- all in a panick-- quickly rose and intercepted Markova. She turned her charm on full-blast and easily seduced the amorous Roman general. He took her back to his tent, and they both taught each other lessons in pleasure that the other had never experienced before!

Amber and Markova were a good match for each other, and many hours passed before the general finally fell asleep. When the two awoke, it was morning. Markova got up and began to dress, and Amber asked what his plans were for the day-- hoping she could find out if she'd rid him of his desire for Issa. He was elusive, but told her that he was pleased with her and wanted to see her again the next night, so Amber felt relieved. The two parted, and Amber made her way back to Amon's house. On the way there she suddenly stopped and her face went dead-white. She had felt a stirring within her womb...she was pregnant! With Markova's child!
Read MOST of the details from the night Amber and Markova met!
Amber berrated herself all the way to Amon's house-- how could she have been so careless?? When she got there, she discovered that no one was home except Issa. Issa quickly picked up on Amber's new condition, and calmed her fears and tried to make her excited about it. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Amber sent Issa away to hide and answered the door-- it was Markova, and he wanted to see Issa. Amber quickly composed herself, smiled, and asked why he would want to see Issa-- hadn't she, Amber, pleased him? He answered that she had, but he still wanted to see Issa. Amber-- thinking quickly-- told Markova that Issa was in her first stage of pregnancy and was experiencing the sickness, and Markova was surprisingly understanding and left quickly! Amon and the rest of the pack soon returned and everyone shared their news. Amber told them of Markova's desire for Issa...and where she'd been all night...and the others told her of the chancellor's plot to kill the pharoah and give the city to the Romans.
The Garou had their hands full, but they were able to protect the right people, and time went on as it was supposed to. Issa died-- but not by Markova's hand as Amon had always believed and still believed-- but by Amon's best friend Tutenammon's hand. This was a secret that the Garou knew they'd better keep or Amon would never have the impetus to hunt Markova over the millenia. So Amon was created a Mummy, he destroyed Markova's army and drove Markova out of the land, and the pharoah lived. The somber pack returned to the present-day in sadness, mourning Amon's loss.

Amber was confused-- for the world's sake, she didn't know if she should cause her baby to abort or not. Then Ahuru, the prophet of fate, came to her and told her to have her baby. He told her that her daughter was not Garou, but would have an important role to play-- not during her lifetime but rather after her death. Amber wasn't sure what this meant, but she knew she had to think quick. She was afraid that Amon would try to kill her baby if he knew it was Markova's, so she told Amon that she wanted to go back and spend a year or two with her ancestor ally Cailloch, and luckily he agreed. When she came back with a baby girl, she told everyone that she'd gotten pregnant by a Celtic tribesman and the baby's name was Cliodhna (klee-ona) McPhearson. What she didn't tell the group was that Cliodhna was the Celtic version of Claudia, and that Claudia was her given Roman name...Claudia Markova would have been the complete Roman name. Amber was relieved that no one seemed to notice the baby's Roman features, or comment on her black hair. Amon sent his plane to pick up Amber's father, and her father brought Cliodhna to Ireland to be raised by the Blue Moon Caern.
The pack worked their way down the list of targets again. At one point they found out that each of them had a role in fate, and had been given a title reflecting what they'd do-- or had done-- to make time right. Marie would be the Prophet of Turtle. Elsibeta was the Killer. Sanki was the Mother of the Croatan. Red Skygazer was the Healer. Totenmachen was the Flesh-Eater. And Amber was the Horn-Bearer. Amber thought this sounded pretty good...until she found out that when she blew the horn she would die!
During another mission, the pack had to figure out why a village in Russia was being destroyed by a plague. Short earthquakes shook the ground, and the earth was poisoned. The Garou went into the spirit-realm where some helpful spirits dug into the earth and revealed a huge closed eye. Every time the eye clenched, the earthquakes started again. The pack soon figured out that it was Markova in his sleeping malfaen form, and they had to do something quick to get him back into a peaceful sleep. Amber was struggling internally. She'd slept with this man, but that was no reason to feel something for him. She told herself that it must be because he was the father of her baby, and then quickly shoved that thought into the farthest reaches of her mind. Who knew what Markova would do if he found out about little Claudia! Amber played a lulluby on her flute, but that only eased the nightmares for a short while. While the spirit-workers put their heads together, Amber came up with a dangerous plan. She had recently learned the gift that would allow her to go into others' dreams, and she decided to use it now.
Amber went into Markova's dream. He was on a horse watching his men fight the enemy. Suddenly he spotted Amber and rode towards were quickly. He jumped down from his horse, walked up to her in great strides, grabbed her, and kissed her hard. When he pulled away his face was sheer confusion. And then his eyes cleared and he knew it wasn't a dream. He demanded to know why she was there-- why her friends were defying him. She calmed herself and smiled and told him she was there because she loved him-- that she could see into dreams and knew Markova was having a nightmare and wanted to comfort him. Markova didn't want to believe her. He started trying to convince her to join him, and layed his whole plan for forcing peace on the world out before her. Amber said she would only agree to that if she could see it in practice first-- to see if it really worked. The two butted heads for awhile until Markova got so frustrated that he threw her out of his dream. By this time the spirit-workers in the pack had found a way to put Markova back into a peaceful slumber.

One by one the Garou played out the roles fate had destined for them. Sanki had already given birth to the new Croatan race, and she was killed while protecting one of the targets on the list. Elsibeta finally revealed to the pack that she'd been hunting an ancestor who'd made a deal with Markova and turned into a lich. During one of the time-travelling trips Elsibeta finally met up with her ancestor and killed him, but she died shortly afterwards of wounds the ancestor had inflicted upon her. The group was joined by a Silver Fang named Grimfang soon after Elsibeta's death. Red Skygazer was fatally wounded by a wolf-killer machine while protecting another Salubri, so the Salubri preserved Skygazer by Embracing him and turning him into a Salubri with incredible healing-powers. Skygazer used those powers to heal many Garou during the final battle. Totenmachen became an incredibly powerful killing-machine who saved the lives of his pack-mates many times by tearing apart powerful enemies. Amber blew the horn as the Garou were being overpowered in the final battle, which summoned the great heros of history and turned the tide as she fell to the ground lifeless. And Turtle revealed the secret of how to win the final battle to his prophet, Marie. The secret that no one would be able to guess: summon Markova.

The spirit-workers in the pack were able to summon Markova, himself, to the battle. Markova looked around the battlefield and saw what the Nazis, the Order of the New Templars, and those who had been detroying the planet in his name had been up to. He saw Amber lying dead near his feet. He flew into a rage, and with a deafening shout he blasted the evil-doers to dust. The next thing the pack knew, they were all sitting with Two Feathers and his caern! The caern hadn't been destroyed, after all! Elsibeta, Sanki, and Amber were all alive! They'd each fulfilled their role in fate, but they were still alive!
Sanki greeted her former pack-mates warmly and told them that she didn't know how, but she'd suddenly found herself, her young son, Marie's twins, and Amber's baby daughter in the cairn with Two-Feathers a couple of years in the past...and she had been transformed into a Kinfolk! Sanki had been wounded, Two-Feathers had nursed her back to health, and in the process they had fallen in love! They'd gotten married soon after, and Sanki had given birth to a baby boy 9 months later. The pack was very happy for her-- especially Marie and Amber, who had guessed that she liked Two-Feathers all along! But Marie and Amber were even more ecstatic when their children ran up to them, hugging their legs! Now Amber's biggest wish would come true-- she would be able to raise her own daughter!
The pack suddenly realized that they didn't know where Amon was. No one in the caern had seen him, and he wasn't in the cabin in the woods nor in the fortress where the time machine had once sat. Worried, the pack asked Jack to get a small plane-- which he did-- and they all flew to Egypt, Amber and Marie leaving their children in Sanki and Two-Feathers' care one more time. They knew how to find Amon's house just outside of Thebes because at one point they'd had to fly themselves and the time machine in one of Amon's private planes to hide at his house once the Nazis realized they'd gotten a hold of the machine. Making sure they hadn't been followed, they landed a few miles away and loped up to Amon's front door.
They knocked on the door, and an Ushapti sand-creature opened it. Recognizing the pack, it let them in. They asked if Amon was there, and wordlessly the Ushapti led the group into the living room and up to a coffee table with an envelope lying on it. Amber opened the envelope and read the letter inside-- a letter from Amon addressed to the pack. In the letter Amon told the pack how proud he was of them, not to go looking for him at this time, that he was safe, and in the future-- if fate allowed-- they, or their children, would see him. Amber was frustrated by Amon's elusivenses and hated how she wouldn't get to say good-bye and thank you to Amon in person, but there wasn't much she could do about it. The pack rested at Amon's house that night, left flowers on Issa's grave the next morning, and flew back to the caern in France.
Amber stayed with the group for a few days, but clearly she was dying to get back to Ireland with her daughter to show her off to her family and friends and start being a mother to her. The Allies told the pack that they were free to go or to stay as they chose, and Amber quickly chose to go. Marie and Sanki said they were going to raise their children together in France for a while, Grimfang and Elsibeta said they were probably going to return to their own lands, Red Skygazer was undecided, and Totenmachen growled that he was going to join the soldiers and continue eating men, er, fighting!
Jack and Marie flew Amber and Cliodhna back to Ireland where she insisted they relax for the weekend. The caern of the Blue Moon threw the biggest, drunkest, craziest celebration anyone could remember, and when at last Jack and Marie had to depart, Amber made sure their blood was free of alcohol and their heads were cleared of that incessant ringing and pounding! She told them they knew where they could find her if ever they needed to, and her door was always open to them. She held little Cliodhna in her arms as she hugged them good-bye, and waved at their plane as it took off and dissappeared into the clouds.
