DYD&F 8:00am Monday morning. Bobby, Eugene, Ellenor, Rebecca, Jimmy and Lucy were already working, Lindsay was yet to arrive.
At about 8:15am the door to the outer office swung open and Lindsay walked in. They all said hello to her, not really looking up, they were all so busy, they had an overload of cases to do this week. Lucy looked up, however, and as she took in Lindsay's appearance, she screamed.
Ellenor dropped the file she was reading onto the floor, it's contents spilling everywhere, Jimmy spilt the cup of coffee he was preparing, burning his hand, Eugene and Bobby came rushing gallantly out of their offices to see what the commotion was all about.
"Lindsay...your hair!" Lucy screamed "It's gone!" The others looked over at Lindsay, who's face had turned a deep red, signifying her embarrassment.
Sure enough, her long brown hair had been cut into a sophisticated bob, and then had been lightened with blonde streaks. Eugene laughed, he was annoyed, but this whole scene was pretty funny. "Jesus Lucy!" He said, still smiling tolerantly. "You nearly gave us all heart attacks. Look's great Lindsay." And with that, he returned to his office, chuckling to himself.
They all took turns complimenting her on her hair. She graciously accepted these compliments, but she was fairly disappointed with Bobby's comment. He had simply said 'it suits you Lindsay' then went back into his office. She realised that her fantasy that they would ever have a real relationship was just that, a fantasy. Her worries subsided somewhat when she realised he'd probably say something to her that night. She thanked them all again, and then went and sat at her desk, working on her cases.
Bobby called her into his office at about lunchtime. She smiled, she knew he would invite her in there, the others had all gone off to court, and Lucy was busy filing things in the conference room. Plus, he had been staring at her all morning through the window of his office, smiling at her when she looked up. As she walked to his office, she remembered a conversation they had had one night, after they had finished their after-hours 'research' as they liked to call it.
"You know Lindsay" He had said "I realised today, that I am going to have to move your desk away from my office window."
"Why's that?" She had asked, a little confused. "Well, I get too caught up staring at you, that I never get any work done." She had blushed then as well, but had managed to save herself by embarrassing him back.
"You know Bobby, it's not exactly easy for me to work, because I can see through your window as well."
He smiled happily as she closed his door behind her and then placed herself elegantly on the red couch in his office. He got up and walked over to her, sitting down next her. Without saying a word he reached out to her, encircling her waist with his arms. He pressed his lips to hers, and gently pried open her lips with his tongue. He had been dying to kiss her all morning, since the second he heard the door open. He had seen her before Lucy, and his heart had skipped a beat. He needed to compose himself before he could go out there, she looked like a goddess, his love for her grew even stronger, and prior to that morning, Bobby hadn't imagined that possible.
Lindsay melted the second his lips had touched hers, she had needed this. She let out a soft moan, she was so wrapped up in the moment, she forgot that Lucy might walk in any minute. Thankfully she didn't. The kiss went on forever, neither of them had wanted it to end, but when they finally pulled apart, they just stared at each other breathlessly. She broke the silence after about two minutes of intense staring. "Wow! What was that for?"
"I just wanted to apologise for this morning." She looked at him confused, "What about this morning?"
"Well, I realised that my comment about your new look was extremely inadequate."
"Is that so?" She asked smiling
"You look so....beautiful doesn't come close...my knees went weak when I saw you, I wanted to take you, then and there, you got to me...you always get to me...but this morning...whew! My God Lindsay"
She blushed deeply at his comments, she didn't know what to say, so she leant forward and kissed him again. She placed her hand behind his head, making the kiss as deep as she could, wondering briefly if she got to him even half as much as he got to her. "Maybe I'll cut my hair more often then." She said suggestively. Jimmy and Ellenor came into the outer office, and Lindsay reluctantly stood up to leave "tonight" she said, and walked out, leaving Bobby breathlessly anticipating the night to come.
Lindsay sat anxiously on the edge of her sofa. He wasn't late, she was just really looking forward to seeing him. The knock on her door made her fall off the arm of the sofa. Hurriedly, she picked herself up off the floor, and walked over to the door. As soon as she saw the person on the other side of the door her breath caught in her throat. He was wearing a pair of casual black pants, with a plain red shirt. The leather jacket thrown casually over his shoulder accentuated his masculine face and appropriately tousled hair. His blue eyes twinkled flirtatiously. Seeing the questioning look on his face, she decided she should let him in.
"Hi." he said. He didn't give her time to respond, her pulled her into his arms and kissed her. He then proceeded to kiss her soft neck, while she wordlessly undid his shirt, pulling him towards the bedroom. This was how it always was, no words would be shared until afterwards, then and only then would they spend hours talking, about any topic. Laying her on the bed he rested gently on top of her, feverishly kissing her, never wanting to be anywhere else than here, now and forever.

......................................................................
Lindsay's apartment 11:30pm.
They are lying side by side on her bed, breathing heavily, it takes almost ten minutes for them to work up the energy to talk. Bobby spoke first. "Well, that was...intense."
"Yeah, it was. Why do you think that is?" She asked. He shrugged his shoulders and propped himself up on the pillow. She moved up and lay on his chest, he played with her hair, running it through his fingers, "Must be the new haircut, it makes us both crazy." She smiled, remembering his comment earlier that day about her hair. She had been thinking about him all day, she decided she couldn't go on like his anymore. She was so in love with him, she didn't want it to be only physical anymore. She knew it was a risk, but he had to know how she felt, if he didn't feel the same, she would have to cut her losses now, or otherwise, she didn't think she'd ever be able to let go.
"Bobby?" She began nervously, she was shaking, that's how scared she was.
He noticed this and pulled the blankets on top of her, his hand now resting on her bare back. "Yeah Lindsay, what's up?" He felt the same way as she did, but he was too afraid to make the first move, he wanted to be able to tell her he loved her. Suddenly he noticed that a tear had sprung to her eye, he tilted her head towards him, "Tell me what's wrong." He kissed her, then sat back and waited for her to talk.
"Bobby, I....I can't do this anymore." There she'd said it.
Bobby felt the air woosh out of his chest, when he spoke his voice came out a tiny squeak, "Do what?"
"This...us" She said uncertainly.
"Why not...what's changed?" He was so confused and hurt, and the slightest bit angry.
"Nothings changed, but...I've..."
He cut her off, bluntly asking her the question he had never wanted to ask. "Have you met somebody?"
"No!" She replied, shocked that he would think that. "It's just that I worry that if we continue this, I never will. And it's not your fault..." she added, seeing the hurt look in his eye "I have developed feelings for you that go way beyond the sex Bobby, so far beyond I can't even think clearly anymore." He tried to speak, but she wanted to finish while she still had the nerve. "Please. I am not trying to put you on the spot, because I say this with little hope that you will ever feel the same about me. But Bobby, today, when we kissed in your office, it felt different to all the other times we've kissed, and I realised then, that I had to get out, because when I am cast aside, as I naturally expect to be, I fear that I will never recover."
He was so shocked, she had taken the words out of his mouth. How could he ever cast her aside, he wouldn't, not for the world. There was so much he wanted to say, but he couldn't form the words, she had left him speechless, like she so often did. She spoke again, the fear she was feeling becoming apparent in her voice. "Bobby, please, let me know what you're thinking, I need to know how you feel."
He still said nothing, instead he sat up, turned to face her and placed his arms around her. "Lindsay..." he whispered her name, like he's never said it before, and instead of speaking again, he kissed her, determined to make this kiss more memorable for her, then the one in the office. She responded, moving herself closer to him, deepening the kiss. He leaned back, pulling her on top of him, running his hands along her back, while she kissed his neck and chest. They made love again, and it was even more intense than before, because before they were too far gone Bobby had whispered sincerely to Lindsay "Does this answer your question?"
Afterwards, they lay again, side by side, facing each other this time. He had one arm around her waist possessively keeping her close to him. Her hand was on his chest, drawing little imaginary circles on his bare skin. Lindsay had thrown on Bobby's Boston University T-shirt. He had the most adorable grin on his face, she suddenly had a thought. "Bobby, what do we tell the others?"
"Whatever we want, they won't mind, they're pretty smart. I imagine they knew we'd be together before we did." She smiled at this.
"Together?" She said.
"At last." He replied, moving in, closing the tiny gap between them and kissing her again. And that's how they slept, facing each other as they imagined their future.
......................................................................
Next Morning
They had slept in, they were going to be half an hour late. They rushed around Lindsay's apartment, Bobby searching desperately for the suit he kept at her apartment for the nights he stayed there, which, he realised with a sly smile, would be a more frequent thing now. She caught him smiling, and smiled right back, she had been thinking the same thing. They stopped their mad rush and began kissing again. "Lindsay...we need to go....God! I hate that! Why do I have to be he sensible one?"
"Because it's so cute on you." She answered his rhetorical question, kissed him again, and hen continued to get ready for work.
They rushed for the elevator and made it just in time, before the doors closed. They stepped in, the elevator was empty, as they travelled she spoke. "I don't think we should say anything."
"What, I thought you want people to know this time."
"Oh I do! More than anything, I just don't want to go in there and announce it, they will all figure it out, we'll just make sure Lucy sees us kiss or something, I won't deny it, they can all know." He smiled. They were out of the elevator now, and were standing in front of the office door "Hey baby, Lucy's not here, but can I kiss you anyway?" She surprised him, by making the first move, and reaching up to kiss him. They were so engrossed in each other that when Eugene opened the door, unintentionally revealing the scene to everyone in the office, they didn't even notice.
"Ummm...Bobby...Lindsay" Eugene said. He got their attention, they had both turned red with embarrassment. "Ok, I am not even going to ask, but I need you's to move so I can leave." He had a smile on his face, obviously happy that they had finally gotten it together, and as he headed down the corridor to the elevator at the end of the hall he yelled out "Busted!"
Bobby and Lindsay entered the office, still embarrassed, they greeted everyone else still there, who were in shock. Finally Ellenor found her voice "Ah, Hi guys, what's happening?"
She wasn't asking about them, it was fairly obvious what was 'happening' there, but Bobby didn't realised and he answered. "Well, um, guys. Lindsay and I have decided....um...we're together." He finished, aware that Lindsay was smiling mockingly at his obvious embarrassment.
"So we can see." Said Jimmy also smiling, Lindsay sat at her desk and Bobby went to his office. But he continued to stare at her through the office window all day, and she was just as happy to stare
back. Both of them unaware that everyone in the office was staring at their love struck faces.
......................................................................
Later that day, at a restaurant in main street.
"I can't believe you didn't tell me! Helen yelled, causing a few people to look up from their lunch at the restaurant they were at. "How can you say I am your best friend, when you don't even tell me the most important secret in your life! I am so angry with you Lindsay." Lindsay realised this was no act, Helen was hurt, insulted even, that she hadn't known about this.
"Helen, I wanted to tell you, but at the time it seemed so stupid, I didn't know what was going on. Plus I thought you'd be angry if I told you, I don't know if you even like Bobby."
Helen seemed to calm down at Lindsay's explanation. "Well, I am still angry, but I will find it in my heart to forgive you, eventually. Although there is a condition..."
"Oh God! I don't know if I want to know." Lindsay said, this couldn't amount to anything good.
"You have to tell me...what's he like?" Helen implored.
"What he like at what Helen?" Lindsay questioned innocently.
"Don't play dumb Lindsay, you know what I mean!" Helen said frustrated.
"No I Do...Oh! Helen! I am not telling you that...No! Are you out of your mind!"
"C'mon Lindsay, you do want my forgiveness right." Helen wasn't letting this go. "So, is he good? Or is he a dud? He's a dud right?"
"No Helen, he's...."
"Yeah" Helen encouraged eagerly, leaning over the table.
"He's.....Oh My God! He's here! Bobby! Over here!"
Bobby walked over to the table where Lindsay was seated. He took a seat next to her, kissing her quickly, and then draping his arm around the back of her chair. "Hey." He said "How are you Helen?" He asked politely, he couldn't say he was Helen's biggest fan, but for Lindsay's sake, he was going to make an effort.
"Good Bobby. Nice to see you. We were just talking about you actually." Helen continued, ignoring the death look Lindsay had shot her from the other side of the table.
"Is that so? Nothing bad I hope." Bobby looked worried, he glanced at Lindsay but she had her eyes down staring at a very interesting notch in the wooden table.
"Well, that's what we were discussing, whether you're good or bad"
"Helen! How could you." Lindsay yelled. Bobby was still confused, then it hit him, his cheeks turned so red, he really doesn't like Helen he decides.
"Well Bobby, Lindsay won't talk, so why don't you just tell me...are you good, or bad?" He decided to play along. He smiled coyly at her and said "neither!" She looked confused now, and so he straightened her out. "I'm not good or bad...I am incredible, right gorgeous?" Bobby wanted Helen to feel as uncomfortable as Lindsay obviously did.
Lindsay realised this and smiled at him gratefully before replying, "Even better than that."
"Yuck! Pass me the bucket please!" Helen said, pulling a face.
"Well Helen, you wanted to know." Bobby said. Helen stood up.
"As much as I hate to leave, I have to go now. I'll call you later babe." She kissed Lindsay on the cheek and started to walk out.
"Bye Helen!" Bobby called, but she didn't turn around. "Sorry honey." He said to Lindsay, "I did try to play nice, but she
really gets on my nerves...sorry." He grinned sheepishly.
She turned him towards her and kissed him. "I think you're gonna have to make it up to me." She said flirtatiously.
"Just tell me when and where" He said eagerly.
"Ummm" she said, thinking. "Here and now!"
"Huh?" He looked around the restaurant really confused.
"Buy me a milkshake!" She said sweetly, as if that was what she was really implying.
"Oh." He said, more than a little disappointed.
"Don't worry, I am gonna need you to help me work it off later."
Bobby smiled the biggest smile. How he loved her, he wished he could tell her that, but he wanted it to be the right time, for both of them. He shook his head playfully and ordered two triple chocolate milkshakes, hoping that the extra chocolate would make her work harder.

Bobby's apartment 9:30pm
Lindsay was cradled in Bobby's arms on his sofa. They were attempting to watch 'The Silence Of The Lambs' but kept managing to distract each other.
"Why did you pick this movie Lindsay? It's creepy!" Bobby asked, a little embarrassed that a movie was scaring him.
"Awwww!" She responded teasingly, "Little baby Bobby need a hug?"
He smiled coyly at her. "Mmmmm...little Bobby needs more than a hug!" He turned her around and pulled her onto his lap. She wrapped her legs around his waist and began removing his shirt, he did the same with her singlet.
Pushing her backwards onto the sofa, he kissed her. His kisses moved slowly down to her neck, chest and stomach. She moaned softly and pulled him back up to her, kissing him forcefully on the mouth. Time flew by and before they knew it the movie they had paid such close attention to was over, and the end credits were rolling.
"Good movie." Lindsay said breathlessly
"I enjoyed it thoroughly, we should watch it more often." He kissed her lightly on the top of her head, tightening his grip around her waist. "In fact, I wouldn't mind getting...I mean *putting* it on again now. What do you think?"
"I think you're a sex maniac!" She said pointedly.
"Only with you." He replied. "Anyway, like you can talk!"
"Please Bobby," Lindsay scoffed. "I could hold out a lot longer than you could."
"Is that so?" He asked
"Easily." She confirmed, nodding purposefully
"Wanna bet?" He challenged, smiling smugly.
"Sure, why not." Lindsay accepted the challenge. "What are the terms?"
He thought for a few moments, "Ok" he started "Here's the deal. We take turns- one night each until one of us cracks- at trying to ...*seduce* the other person, and whoever gives up first, loses. She nodded approvingly.
"So what happens if....sorry...*when* I win?"
"Well Lindsay I made up the dare, you can decide the consequence
"Ok." She said, whoever loses has to go to work..." She whispered the last part in his ear, enjoying the mortified look that passed across his face. He agreed to the consequence, both of them now desperate to win at all costs.
**********************************************************************
The next morning Bobby's place.
It had been decided (by the flip of a coin) that Bobby would have the first attempt. So after waking up next to her early in the morning, he concluded it would be worthwhile having a go now. He woke her up by gently kissing her on the neck, slowly making his way up to her lips. He heard her moan slightly, and laughed as he realised this was going to be sooo easy.
She had felt him kiss her neck, she let him think he was going to get somewhere, she even had the common courtesy of letting a soft moan escape her lips. She was ready for this, she knew he would try first thing, the consequence she had chosen was something Bobby desperately would try to avoid. He had began to slowly manoeuvre himself ontop of her, and just as he did, she sat up, pushed him off abruptly and got out of bed. "Morning baby." She said slyly, before going off to shower, silently congratulating herself for her brilliant performance.
"Good for who?" He asked the empty room, sighing defeatedly and resigning himself to getting ready for work. 'There was always tonight' he thought, knowing it would be detrimental if he did not win it tonight, she was impossible to resist even when she wasn't trying. If he couldn't seduce her tonight, he was fairly sure he would be a lost cause.
**********************************************************************
DYD&F three days later.
The tension between them was noticeable in the hostile silence that passed on the way to the office. Neither of them had succeeded yet, although Bobby was fairly confident that Lindsay was winning. She had adopted a very wise strategy, and had taken to starving him of all affection. He had tried so hard against her, both of his nights, but she was like a rock. He couldn't help but laugh at himself for being so weak, he knew he wouldn't last much longer.
Lindsay was going crazy. She was putting up the toughest fight, but it was killing her. She had nearly given in last night, Bobby had pulled the elbow trick on her, and it had taken everything she had to keep herself from losing it then and there. She had promised herself not to so much as kiss him, because she knew she wouldn't be able to let it end there. Even as good as she appeared to be doing, Lindsay realised it wouldn't be long before he broke her.
They entered the office silently, and went their separate ways, without so much as a glance in each others direction. The whole office noticed this, and decided it would be best to stay out of their way that day...everyone that is, except Lucy. Lucy had made it her secret mission to discover what was going on by asking Lindsay as soon as Bobby entered his office. The soft click of his closing door confirmed that he was inside. Lucy walked over to Lindsay's desk. Lindsay looked up, but Lucy jumped in before Lindsay could even open her mouth.
"Wow, could cut that tension with a knife." She observed to Lindsay, who remained silent. "What's the matter Linds...not getting any?" She had meant it as a joke, not believing her suggestion had had any merit, until she noticed the deep blush that had spread to Lindsay's cheeks. She tried her best not to laugh, as she walked back to her desk, doing her best to avoid an outburst from an embarrassed Lindsay. Lindsay was actually too afraid to even glance in Lucy's direction, and so kept her eyes on her work all day.
'That's it!' Bobby decided at his desk that morning. 'I don't give a damn about the consequences, I can't hold out any longer! Tonight...no, as soon as we get home...I have to....this is killing me!' Resolved, he went back to work, sad that he obviously had no will-power when it came to Lindsay, but smiling because he couldn't wait for tonight.
Lindsay had the exact same thought later that day. She knew it would be hard, Bobby might not give it up tonight, because that would mean he would lose, it *was* her turn to seduce him. But hopefully he would believe her when she said she couldn't hold out any longer.
**********************************************************************
Lindsay's apartment 7:30pm.
"What do you want for dinner?" Lindsay asked Bobby that night. He had been staring at her admiringly as she walked around the apartment, he didn't care about dinner, he was happy to go straight to desert. "Um, I'm not really hungry." They were standing about two metres apart, and the heat between them would have kept every home in Boston warm for a month. Bobby spoke first, prepared to lose the bet.
"Linds...this bet is.." He started unsteadily.
"I know." She said quietly
"I can't...anymore." He confessed.
She nodded and silently lead him into the bedroom, and pushed him down onto the bed, placing herself on top of him. "Me either." She said, as they began kissing, relieving each other of the tensions they had carried around for the past three days.
Later, they were sitting up, arguing fondly over who had lost and who had won. "No Bobby, it was my turn to seduce you...you gave in, so therefore, I win!" She debated.
"No Lindsay, you told me you wanted to, I was merely obliging to your wish!" He retorted.
"Well Bobby, a bet is a bet, one of us has to pay." She stated
"Yeah, I suppose you're right.
**********************************************************************
Next day at DYD&F all except Bobby and Lindsay are in the office. They are working silently, until the door opened. Catching a glimpse at the two people in the doorway caused all of them to burst out into uncontrollable fits of laughter. Bobby was blushing wildly, and Lindsay was trying hard to keep her cool composure in spite of her embarrassment. They were both dressed in bright red parachute pants and stripy shirts. The had on orange and purple wigs, and overdone make-up was painted messily on both their faces.
Once the laughter subsided, Ellenor spoke up. "Geez, hope you guys aren't in court today. Why exactly are you two dressed as clowns? I haven't missed Halloween have I?" Lindsay and Bobby just looked at each other, they had concluded last night that they had both lost. Neither of them was willing to let the other off, so they had both decided to carry out the consequence. Bobby grinned sheepishly at Lindsay, then at the rest of the firm, then back at Lindsay, "Long story...really long story. Whatever you guys do, don't ever let Lindsay talk you into watching 'Silence of The Lambs.'
End- "Jealousy" Part 3- The Bet.

......................................................................
DYD&F 11:30am Wednesday morning, all are in the office working. The door swung open, and along with the dull glow of the morning sun stepped a man. He was extremely attractive, about 6 foot tall, tanned and toned, sandy blonde hair and the most amazing green eyes. Jaws were dropped indiscreetly by Lucy, Ellenor and Rebecca. Lindsay too, would have been stunned, that is, if she wasn't so busy playing an intense staring game with Bobby.
"Can I help you....? Please?" Lucy asked a little too politely. The man smiled, obviously catching on to Lucy's flirtatious remark.
"Umm, I am actually looking for a..." He glanced briefly at a piece of paper he had pulled from the pocket of his grey Armani jacket. "...a Lindsay Dole. Is she in?"
Lindsay still wasn't paying attention. She thought that someone had said her name, but that thought passed quickly, simply because she was drowning in the deep pools of Bobby's eyes. She wanted to sprint into his office and openly declare her love for him. But of course, they weren't at the 'I love you' declaration stage. Well they actually were, but neither of them had work up the courage to say it aloud.
"Lindsay!" Lucy and Ellenor shouted in unison, breaking off Lindsay's thoughts as she was forced to snap out of her haze. She was loathe to break her intense stare with her Bobby.
"What!" She snapped angrily.
"You have a visitor." Lucy said, indicating to the man in the doorway. Lindsay looked at him, still failing to notice how attractive he was.
"Can I help you?" She asked politely, clearly perturbed, but desperately trying to hide it.
"Yes. He said, after a moment, she may have failed to notice his attractiveness, but he had been struck down at her beauty. He cleared his throat. "I need a lawyer..."
"You've come to the right place!" Lucy shouted from somewhere in the back of the office.
"Lucy!" Lindsay yelled, smiling though, recognising Lucy's coy intentions.
"Anyway.." He continued. "....My name is Kyle Brady, I need a lawyer and you have been highly recommended.
"Well Mr Brady..." Lindsay started but was interrupted.
"Please...call me Kyle." He said politely
"Very well. Kyle, come into the conference room and we'll talk. She lead him into the conference room, followed by the dreamy gazes of the other women in the office, who only stopped string after the door was closed.
......................................................................
9pm, same day, Bobby's apartment.
Bobby and Lindsay were talking about Kyle while they cooked dinner. Bobby was trying really hard not to show how jealous he was that Lindsay is taking his case.
"So, he's pretty good looking then?" Bobby asked nervously.
"Didn't really look." Lindsay said sincerely. "I think the others think he's pretty nice- looking though."
"But not you...right." Bobby was unnecessarily jealous, throughout the whole interview with Kyle Brady, Lindsay had honestly failed to realise how good- looking he was. She only had eyes for Bobby. She kept this revelation to herself, and instead of answering his not- so- subtle question verbally, she grabbed his tie, and used it like a rope to pull him closer to her. The she wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed him.
They pulled apart, and after gazing wordlessly at each other for a while, Bobby turned the stove off, picked Lindsay up and carried her into his bedroom kissing her neck and faced the whole way, while she giggled delightedly.
......................................................................
The next morning, Bobby's apartment, they are talking over breakfast.
"So, this Kyle guy..." Bobby started, Lindsay shot him her 'not again' look, but he continued. "Don't worry Lindsay, I am not referring to his sex- appeal, I was just gonna ask what his case is about?"
"Oh, ok. Well it's a really interesting case, I am actually glad I got it." She said enthusiastically.
"Oh, so it must be a civil trial!" Bobby predicted, smiling righteously.
"You're always right baby!" Lindsay said, flashing him her killer smile.
"Can I have that in writing?" Bobby enquired.
"Not a chance...anyway, this Kyle Brady says he was fired for sexually harassing a co-worker, but he says..."
"Let me guess..." continues Bobby, "He says he's innocent!"
"Right again Bobby Donnell." Lindsay played. "And if you answer the bonus question correctly, you win the bonus prize!" They both laughed loudly.
"And what is this so called Grand Prize?" Bobby asked, leaning closer to Lindsay. "Because right now, I think I already have *everything* I will ever want." His toned changed here, from playful to downright serious and sincere and heartfelt.
Lindsay blushed deeply. "Bobby..." she started trepidaciously. "You do know I feel...the same for you? Right?"
"I hope so."
"I do Bobby..I really...I mean"
"I am in love with you Lindsay Dole."
Lindsay was cut off abruptly by his announcement, it took her all of a heartbeat to return the sentiment. "I love you too Bobby...so much." Frantically they grabbed at each other, failing to make it to the bedroom before proving to the other how much they were loved.

The elevator doors opened with an elaborate 'ping.' Bobby and Lindsay stepped inside, holding hands as they pressed the button for the floor of the office. As the doors came together, so too did Bobby and Lindsay. He kissed her softly, she kissed him back.
"Mmmm...I love you." Bobby said softly, stepping back from Lindsay and tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ears. She smiled a thousand- watt smile at him, her face aglow, " I love you too." she whispered gently. The doors opened, and out they stepped, walking hand- in- hand to the office, kissing one more time before stepping into the chaotic world of criminal law.
They weren't surprised to find that everyone was already there, it had been busy the past few weeks, everyone was being run off their feet. Ellenor and Jimmy uttered brief 'hello's' as they barged purposefully out the door on their way to court. Rebecca and Eugene pried their eyes away from a file on Bec's desk for just long enough to smile and say 'hi'; and Lucy was busy in the conference room with an overload of case files and client information to organise.
"So, Lindsay...are we on for lunch today?" Bobby asked.
"Oh No!" Lindsay cried. "I am so sorry, I have a conference with Kyle at lunch, can we switch to dinner...please?" Bobby looked a little upset, but he smiled politely as Lindsay muttered another sincere apology. He agreed humbly, then turned and strode into his office.
Once inside, Bobby's painted smile faded. Bobby knew he was probably being silly, but he had been growing increasingly jealous everyday she spent with this Kyle fellow. He was actually beginning to believe that his angelic blue eyes were turning an envious green in colour. He hated that ever since he and Lindsay shared loving sentiments, she had been working with stupid Kyle Brady every night on his stupid civil case.

Meanwhile....
He had been watching her closely ever since she had appeared briefly on television whilst defending some murderer a few months ago. He had been moved intensely by her gracious beauty, and the confidence which shone through her eyes, and echoed in every word she spoke. She hadn't noticed him yet...but she would. He would ensure she sat up and paid very close attention to him.
He had watched as she walked happily into the building, where he had discovered, she worked. She had been giggling- almost like a schoolgirl- at the man who's arm was wrapped so protectively around her slender waist. Oh, yeah, he had noticed her new 'man' too. He wasn't intimidated, Bobby Donnell was an unexpected obstacle, but one which he would have no qualms about getting rid of.
When she was out of sight, he emerged from his hiding place- the verandah of a building- where he had so cleverly disguised himself as a homeless bum. As he walked back to his 'real' home, he casually dropped a package into the post box. The large yellow envelope was addressed to one: Lindsay.S.Dole.

Lindsay's apartment 9pm
They stepped inside, the merriment evident in both their voices, they had had a great night, dinner and dancing, it was so romantic. Once inside, Bobby wrapped his arms around Lindsay's waist. After kissing her briefly, he pulled back, and let his eyes burn into hers. "Have a good night gorgeous?" He asked, kissing her again.
"Well, it's been good so far, I hope you're not implying that it's over though." She smiled coyly, laughing flirtatiously as she watched his eyes open a little wider.
"Definitely not...not by a long shot." He whispered, leading her by her hand into the bedroom. She felt something beneath her foot as she walked further into the lounge room. "Wait Bobby..." She spoke quietly, apprehensive about the yellow envelope that had been slid through the mail slot. The handwriting was unfamiliar, and their was no return address. She bent down and picked it up.
"What's that babe?" Bobby asked unconcerned.
"I have no idea, it doesn't say who it's from." She took it over to the coffee table. Bobby took his place next to her on the sofa, kissing her neck, not really interested in the contents of the envelope. He had other things on his mind. He did, however, pay attention when he felt her body stiffen, and a sharp gasp escape her throat.
"What is it?" He asked, his concern now full- fledged. She didn't speak, she handed him the white piece of cardboard that had been enclosed, as well as a small box. The note was folded, so he opened the box first. Inside the box was a necklace, a simple cross dangled of the beautiful gold chain. Bobby was confused, he turned his attention to the note. Upon opening it, his confusion became fear, and anger. There was a portrait in the background, it was an incredibly detailed picture of Lindsay's face, written on top of the faint penciled drawing were the words:
"Lindsay, wear this...you'll need protecting...Soon"
