On the morning of July 6, Boris, one of the PC drivers, came and picked me up from my apartment. With little fanfare I said goodbye to Nikola and left with my stuff for the capital, Skopje, to do paperwork in the PC office all day! I had dinner with many of the other volunteers that night, along with Biljana and Marija, two of my Macedonian friends. (Too bad I was too much of a loser that night to take pictures!) The next morning I left early in the morning for Vienna, and then on to the States. I was in Washington D.C. until July 21, at which time I arrived back in California, this time to stay for medical treatment until my medical separation August 22nd.
