In January 2004, upon my return to Pehcevo from California, the Country Director of Peace Corps Macedonia Kim Green paid me a visit.  We walked around in the freezing snow and unbelievably strong wind and he snapped the following pictures of me around Pehcevo.  He was kind enough to burn me a CD and mail it to me.  So...pictures courtesy of Kim Green!
Boris, one of the PC drivers, shakes hands with someone in front of my apartment building
That's me, Julijana & Boris standing in front of Nikola's car on the steps to Kladenec during a windstorm
Me with colleagues Nikola, Aleksandra & Jasminka safely in the Kladenec office
Me visiting Gabi, the librarian (the library is in the bottom part of the building beneath Kladenec, which is upstairs)
Me squinting against the icy wind in front of Vancho Kitanov Elementary School
Me surveying the playground at Vancho Kitanov
Me on my balcony demonstrating to staff that yes, I do know how to use my Peace Corps-issued fire extinguisher in case of emergency!! (Much to the amusement of my neighbors and people down on the street in the blowing snow.)
On his way back to the Peace Corps office in Macedonia's capital, Skopje, Kim also notices the beautiful sunsets of Maleshevija region
