I was born in October of 1978 in Northern California, where I grew up and attended Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley, graduating in 1997.
In 1997 and 1998 I attended college at Chico State and Sierra College. Then I decided to move down to SoCal (that's Southern California for all you non-California people) and completed my last three years at San Diego State University, graduating in December 2001 with my BA in Psychology. A year after that, I went to Macedonia.
I was in the United States Peace Corps in Macedonia from 2002-2004 and served in the Environmental Education & Management sector. I am currently completing an MA in International Relations at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and hope to work in Washington D.C. upon my graduation in June 2006. |

I like driving, travelling, swimming, being with friends, reading, listening to music, watching movies, and just about anything outdoors. I am interested in politics, world events, environmental issues, as well as health and fitness. When I was in Macedonia, I had fun with learning more of the Macedonian language and cultural traditions. I wouldn't say I have a knack for foreign languages...but my final Language Proficiency Interview scored me an Advanced High rating, only one level below Superior...if I'd just had more time! |

My mother Irene and brother Chris, as well as my father Bill and stepmother Lynda live in Northern California. My family is the greatest, and we are very close. There is no way I would be who I am today without their influence. My friends from high school and my sorority sisters from Kappa Delta in San Diego were a wonderful source of love and support while I was away, as well. |
