Keyword Help

Keywords are the most important words in your search question.

Keywords do not include little words like "a", "an", "the" or "of".

Keywords are usually nouns or adjectives.

Keywords should be spelled correctly.

 

EXAMPLE QUESTION: Where was Shakespeare’s birthplace?

EXAMPLE KEYWORDS: Shakespeare and birthplace

 

KEYWORD PRACTICE:

Think of a question. "Where could I find some information about Shakespeare's Globe Theater?"

Now pick out the most important words: "Shakespeare" "Globe" "Theater" and "information".

Information is a big word! Can you limit that too? Use "student" or "education" with "information".

Now pair the words you think should go together in the page.

Here are your keywords: Shakespeare Globe Theater education information.

Put these in the "Search Box" in Google.
