March - April 2008
March was relatively quiet (at least
photo-wise). We attended the Alameda E&E Ball at the Bench and Bar in
Oakland. The evening's theme was "Night Of The Egyptians". Jo-An, Emmanuel,
Anita Prescott and Jenny Olson attended. It was a night of command
performances only, and we were asked to do the opening number. Jo-An,
Emmanuel, Jenny and I performed 'Walk Like An Egyptian" - with fantastic
costumes from Jo-An.
On a windy but sunny Sunday afternoon,
Jenny Olson and I went off to San Francisco for an afternoon of photos and
conversation in Golden Gate Park, followed by a wonderful dinner at the "The
Stinking Rose", a North Beach landmark restaurant.

Jenny at the 2008 TGSF Cotillion |
January was the
2008 TGSF Cotillion, a wonderful formal event held each January in San
Francisco. This year, about 150 people attended an evening of food,
entertainment and the pageant to elect Miss TGSF 2008. I was honored
to be able to be one of the non-contestant entertainers. I did a very
satisfying (for me) performance of "Roxie" from the musical Chicago.
In February, Cal State
Hayward's GLBT Alliance held a week of different awareness and social
activities. Jo-an and I helped out at their Drag Show night (of course <g>),
performing Sugar Daddy.
February was also the
Alameda Ducal "Queen Of Hearts" Ball. Yours Truly was elected 2008
Queen of Hearts (and before you ask - YES, there was
another contestant besides me <g>)
