I've been playing online and real life GURPS games for many years and here's a few of my characters.
For those of you who don't know, GURPS is a role playing game ... none of these characters are real (as far as I know) ... it's just a game.
If you want to know more about GURPS, see Steve Jackson Games ... the game I'm playing in is GURPS World War IV and there's a message board where we post messages.

Jennifer Lewis was a freelance reporter for many years. She had some of her stories picked up by the major news wires, but she never had any steady employment.
In the Fall of 2001, she was at Ft. Bragg, NC doing a story on military life when word came of the terror attacks in New York and Washington. Her story about the reaction of the military personnel and their families made several news outlets. Jennifer stayed on the story and used her own money to follow the soldiers into Afghanistan and filed several reports from the front lines. After the fall of the Afghan government, Jennifer was offered a job with the Wall Street Journal and now serves as an at-large reporter submitting stories and information from the battlefield.
Following the Afghan war, Jennifer took some time to compile a number of her stories into a book. My Soldier Friends became a popular book and she was signed to a contract for more books. Her second book, My Marine Friends, is due to be published soon and she plans to write ones about the Navy and Air Force. Because of her positive writings about the military and her willingness to make friends with her subjects, she has made many friends in the U.S. military and is well liked. She often gives away free copies of her books to service members and takes time to talk to those she meets.
Currently, Jennifer spends a lot of her time traveling to military bases interviewing soldiers and spending time with them.
My Soldier Friends is a collection of interviews stories from various Army personnel (from Privates to Generals) beginning with the terror attacks of 9-11 and up through the battles in Afghanistan.

My Marine Friends will be published soon and is a collection of interviews and stories from Marines.

My Sailor Friends and My Air Force Friends are planned for publication.
