Vegi Burger Mix W/ Burger Recipe

      Yield: 1 Recipe

    1/2 c  Dry chick peas
    1/4 c  Dry soybeans
    1/4 c  Dry lentils
    1/4 c  Peanuts
    1/4 c  Sunflower seeds
    1/4 c  Sesame seeds
    1/4 c  Oats
    1/4 c  Corn meal
    1/4 c  Wheat germ
      2 tb Soy flour
      1 tb Nutritional yeast
      2 tb Dried parsley
      1 ts Baking soda
  1 1/2 ts Salt

--------------TO MAKE 2 PATTIES----------
      1 c  Mix
    1/3 c  Hot water
        ds Soy sauce

  Mix:
 
  Grind beans, nuts, seeds & oats until they
  resemble coarse flour. Combine with remaining
  ingredients. Store airtight. Shake before using to
  distribute ingredients.
 
  Makes 4 cups, enough for 8 burgers or 24 fritters.
 
  Burgers:
 
  Mix & let stand 15 minutes. Shape into patties &
  fry in hot oil until bottom is brown. Turn, cover
  & cook about 5 minutes longer.
 
  For Fritters:
 
  Shape into 6 balls and deep fry.
 
  Notes:
 
  Other beans & grains may be used as long as the
  total quantity equals the same.
